I also enjoy driving my unibody vehicle with a bed. I think it's marvelous how it has only basic features but everything is good where it matters
>PARALLEL HYBRID where both electric and gas motors drive the wheels
>driveshaft for gas engine to drive rear wheels instead of electric motors
>LI-ION hybrid battery instead of ni-mh which most other non-plugin hybrids use, allowing more capacity more output and lighter weight
>Mazda L6 2.5L engine that's basically a K24 reliability wise
>Like 300lbs heavier than a honda accord but 800lbs lighter than a tacoma
>get asked all the time what the hell truck this is

There is a market of millions of people world wide who want the functionality and utility of having a pickup bed that will never tow anything and will never overload the bed and would otherwise prefer to drive a car.

Im one of those people.
I daily drive it, occasionally haul shit to the landfill, transport toolboxes, engines, help with moving houses etc.
Ive never needed it to do more, and I can just pay someone to trailer a car if I need it that bad.

Incredibly based. I too love driving my unibody car that pretends to be a pickup. Its far more practical than a regular crossover but gets even better fuel mileage than one. Its such a perfect vehicle for someone like myself. Im glad you share that sentiment.

It's TINY...Like, pictures don't actually portray how tiny this thing is... If you're a "sporty" and or "wannabe sporty" childless couple, 5'9" at the most. With a dog or two you'll be alright, otherwise... You're fucked.

Yeah I don't think so, Dave-o. Your shitty ute things are not pickup trucks.

These vehicles exist. Why do you pretend that they don't?

Have you actually sat in one before? I'm 6'2" and with my seat height increased by like 7 clicks my head is still like 6 inches away from the roof with the seat straight up, and my seat is over half of the way forward so I can reach things. It's actually comical how far the seat can go back to the point my legs are completely straight to reach the pedals.
There's a ton of headroom in the maverick, the legroom is like a civic but I fit perfectly fine in the back seat behind myself at 6'2". Also bought it because I very rarely use the back seats, they are effectively my trunk and the bed is a super trunk with the tonneau

>That's still priced at or below the Maverick.
Yeah if you're both a Costco member and a retired military member.
Oh but you didn't think to actually look at the discounts from that dealership, did you. You just clicked "price ascending" and took it at face value. Imagine trusting a dealership so wholeheartedly.

Maverick isn't a new platform vehicle, it's the same platform as the Ford Focus, Escape, Bronco Sport, Lincoln Corsair...Transit van... Etc. Engine is a Mazda L5 / Duratec that was made back in 2008.
The Maverick actually has a bunch of old known good shit in it which is why it's good.

More rear leg room than a ranger btw.
>>28916154
Also this, I'm 6'2 and the amount of leg room and cabin space is massive for how relatively small it is. No gay ass woke trans tunnel getting in the way. I did a 6 hour drive in it and barely felt the need to get out and stretch.

I have said this before and I will say it again.
The maverick is not in competition with half tons. Now lets say it together. "The maverick is not in competition with half tons."
People who want a maverick want a crossover with a bed. The only competition is the santa cruz which is like the downs cousin. The price is literally is irrelevant.
A half ton is not a small truck. Its actually that simple and the fact that you cant comprehend why someone doesn't want to daily a half ton for no reason is crazy.

Gee, I wonder how many times a year you actually need that truck bed.

Yeah I really don't get it. Over the last couple of decades, it seems like more and more people have abandoned a positive outlook and instead spend their time seeking out and obsessing over things that make them angry. Like there has to be something to be mad about at all times, no matter how inconsequential it might be, and because of this their lives have no joy. What they don't understand is that they're not miserable because of these things they're mad about. They're miserable because they're mad all the time. They're blinded to the fact that if they simply stopped giving a shit about all this stuff that doesn't actually effect their lives they'd be a lot happier.

There's a pretty huge difference between somehow not being able to have an opinion on something (is that even possible?) and not having an opinion about something because it's not worth the effort of giving a shit about it. Is this something you're capable of understanding?
