At least it has normal sized tires

>no transmission, no oil change, no break change, no engine problems
but they have transmissions, they have oil/grease, they have brakes (that DO need servicing), and they don't have an engine they have a motor
>>
>>28916279
breaking is mostly done through regenerative breaking. they don't need an oil change. it turns out yes they have a single gear transmission that spins in either direction but it can last much longer without changes

I don't have an EV because my only dealerships are domestic and Hyundai for some reason and none of them make a desirable EV. I bought a Model S Performance several years ago and then though it didn't need much servicing, when it need it always needed to go to the Tesla place which is over an hour away so I got rid of it.
It does suck too because it was a good car and I would actually really like a new Model 3 performance even though it would be slower than my old S, and no other auto maker is making comparable cars.

I'm not gay.

Low range and top speed, long recharge time
>>
>>28916269
While yes OP those are big pros:
>short range, only really suited for commuting
>Long charge times
>mass adoption would strain power grids that already are having brownouts
>Replacing the battery effectively totals the car (may change in the long term)
>Rely on precious metals to produce
>a car that cheap and small means you may as well be riding in a phone booth
>makes more power and torque than an ICE vehicle but handles much worse due to massively increased weight and effectively zero driver feedback
Yeah like, maybe Id have one as a beater for parts runs or commuting to work but a budget EV just seems unsatisfying at best and miserable at worst.

>70%-100% discount on fuel
If you can charge at home it's more like a 10-20% discount on fuel. If you can't, you end up paying 30-40% more per mile than a comparable ICE vehicle.

>no oil change
Its a 15 minute cheap fucking job you can do with extremely basic tools. How is this meant to be a selling point?
>>
>>28916421
assuming the following:
$4 gas, 15 cents/kWh home charging, 40 cents/kWh fast charging
Prius = 7 cents a mile in gas
BMW 330i = 12 cents a mile
Model 3 at home = 3.5 cents a mile
Model 3 fast charge = 10 cents a mile
So a Prius is cheaper than exclusively fast charging, but not a "comparable" car.

Jailbreaking your tessie disables fast charging dumbass

ORLY?

No thanks. Uses the A/C to cool the batteries. Death trap waiting to cook off.

Because its fucking gay
Onions of cars
For every ev I see I will be upping displacement of my next car by 100

Discount on fuel

>cheaper than that little hatchback, $7-9k range
>dependable, port-injected n/a ICE motor built by Mitsubishi, used in everything from the Colt/Lancer/Mirage
>5 speed manual transmission
>not dependent on electronics, can't be geofenced like an EV, can't be hacked like an EV, won't spontaneously combust like an EV

why haven't you bought an ICE car yet, OP?

>Buys 4 seater - complains it has 4 seats
>Has a small battery - complains it lacks range
>Complains about public chargers and the charging network in Australis is terrible - blames it on the car
>Says it's designed as a small city car - complains that it's not suitable for long drives in the outback.
>Does 0-100 in 8.0 - not fast enough
That's like 2/3rd of the video.

100% because of people like you.

Leased ICE vehicles don't need oil changes either...
>>
>>28916279
This
I will never understand why EVs fags believe just by not having an ICE somehow constitutes a car being indestructible despite being pigfat land yachts that still destroys the environment
