>make electric vehicles so expensive that only rich people can afford to buy them >jack up the price of gasoline to fuck poor people over even harder Get puked on, faggots.
>>28966807 >this thread is maybe 2 different people just randomly schizo posting and not even replying to each other >0 people have posted "their" ev Jesus christ you faggots are pathetic.
>>28967833 I never have and never will post a picture of my actual car. It's pointless. It looks the same as the stock press photos and if there's even a 0.001% chance of it being recognized then that's a trillion times higher than I want.
Pretty excited. Getting my euro version of the Model Y standard in about a month! This is my first new car ever and my first EV. Already got my Zaptec Go 2 installed so I can charge at home.
>>28967235 Have you installed the Boring Order Tracker app? I can't see my VIN in the Tesla app yet but it shows up in the Boring Order Tracker app. I ordered in around mid april in Europe and I got my VIN on the 29th of may.
>>28968402 Because EVs are only good for people who own their home and those people don't buy used cars. People who buy used cars rent and can't install a home charger.
Getting my Tesla delivered soon. I don't want to commit to a wall charger yet, so I was gonna have a NEMA 14-50 plug put in to use with the Mobile Connecter the car will come with at Level 2. Some channels recommend getting an industrial outlet to prevent wear, but the bigger thing is that my house will probably need an electrical box upgrade, too.
>>28968524 >implying that all home owners only buy new They buy new more often than non home owners do, by a very large margin. But the bigger problem is excluding the non home owner demographic entirely. EVs are an awful decision for them, if you can't charge it at home it's like buying a gas guzzler that is enormously more inconvenient to use. Price per mile when charging off public chargers is similar to a low MPG SUV, it's rough.
If 90+% of used car buyers can't actually benefit from buying EVs then yeah, used EV prices are going to suffer immensely as a result.
How bad are MG ev and hybrids? The price is suspiciously cheap and the car have a huge warranty 7 years or 150k km. I suspect it's a ploy to get market share but I don't want to run into too much problems.
this expensive petroleum is making me consider leasing a model 3. the no-contact test drive was a good experience. just sucks that i live in an apartment building and there's no plugins in the garage so i'll have to charge it during work or when im picking up groceries.
>>28968529 Why not just buy a wall charger at that point? I did and it was like 700 euros after state sponsored deductables here in Sweden. Is it really expensive in the US?
>>28967171 >only rich people can afford to buy them Nigger you can get used evs for like 30k. Hell even new you can get shit for like 40k. Where does that make someone rich.
Any Europoors or Canada fags test drive any of the Chinese cars yet? I want to know how much better (if at all) they are over what we have in the States.
>no powertrain maintenance cost >no fucking fuel cost LITERALLY running cost of nothing if charging on home solar and producing excess kwh that you would instead push into the grid and get kiked out of your being paid for your produced kwh by the ubercorrupt national power company >good value most of them convinced, too bad they're all absolutely uninspiring and with all the modern car stupidities you don't want
>>28971074 europoor (shithole) rode in a lynk&co z20/02, its ok, softer than an old model 3 by a bit that's good, seems to be well put together, its still a gay cuckover blob thing.
>>28977171 Just get Polestar 2. It has little of that modern EV faggotry with the best reliability ever seen in a car. That Volvo CMA platform is GOAT.
I watched a video where a guy converted an old pickup truck into an EV and it retained the clutch and stick-shift in the operation. That's pretty neat.
>>28966807 >Year 1: EVs lose 30% to 40% of their original value. >Years 2–5: The depreciation rate slows down significantly to roughly 10% to 15% per year.
What is stopping me from just renting an EV for like 2-3 years and just getting a new one? Dealerships are always having leasing deals for like 300-400 usd per month.
