That's a badly orientated upload, and you should rotate it 90°

Its in New Mexico on BLM land so Im a little worried about it being aliens. Lets say I take it down and back to my car and smash it. What would be the aftermath?

Yes its somewhere between Monte Negro and Ladron

You leave it alone. What are you, brown?

It is a wilderness area so I dont think it should be there. I have noticed a lot of trail cameras and random electronic crap in wilderness areas lately which I am pretty sure is prohibited.

The government can do whatever it wants. Rules don't apply to them.
>>
>>2864847
Not anymore.

It is in a wilderness study area actually, which is different than wilderness. Legally it is best described as land that is being studied for its wilderness character with an eye to designating it wilderness in the future should it pass requirements. In reality it is limbo land that either there is no political appetite to make it true wilderness or it has some other human stuff like enough abandoned camps and trash and mines and whatever else that makes it impossible to become wilderness but the land agency still manages basically as wilderness.

And separately the rules in wilderness are nothing with an engine and no permanent structures. A temporary electric data collection thing for research is perfectly legal.

Huh I didnt know that thanks anon. I was just reading

https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-43/subtitle-B/chapter-II/subchapter-F/part-6300

But I didn’t know there was a difference between a wilderness study area.

But dont most solar things have motors in them to convert the electricity? And I would consider 4 screws on an out of place, upright log on top of a peak “Building, installing, or erecting structures or installations”.

If its not permanent am I good to take it down? There were no signs or anything.

wilderness designation should be abolished
to best maintain trails and forests you simply NEED power tools, and otherwise you will have unsafe trails and no proper way to restore habitats to ideal conditions

I think banning GAS engines for recreational purposes in wilderness is fine, but you should be allowed to have bikes or ebikes that doesn't harm anyone
99% of wilderness is pre-logged, already-disturbed land it isn't pristine and was already clearcut at one point (I know you are talking about desert, but it's all forest here), mined over there

land is meant to be enjoyed by humans in a responsible manner, not roped off arbitrarily by boomer bureaucrats

Fuck you

Well i dont remember the text of the act but de facto everyone managing wilderness has not included small solar stuff. I mean no one is banning solar panel phone chargers. It is not permanent because it can be removed without any effect to the landscape. What they shouldnt do would be to bolt it into the rock, where the only way to remove it leaves permanent holes in the rock. And the rules are different for gov research work anyway if that is what it is.
Why would you take it down? What if thats the local BLM field office or a partner group collecting data? They often dont put BLM logos on things because in many places that makes things more likely to get vandalized...

Cope and seethe, wilderness designation is permanent. Nothing you can do.
No you dont need power tools, they cleared trails long before them with crosscuts. And many wilderness areas have special amendments to their management plan that allow for engine use for trail work, mostly in national parks, and all allow it for fire fighting.
The ban on ebikes in wilderness has nothing to do with a motor being involved it's that all mechanized or motorized travel is banned e or no. But anybody abled enough to ride a bike on trails can ride a horse on them, and stock use is allowed in wilderness and is more accessible than riding a bike.
There is a much larger proportion of virgin forested wilderness in the west; and not just semi-desert woods; montane forest, alpine forest, and pnw coastal forests. Sorry you dont have any much left over there

Im just tired of peeing in the woods and looking up and seeing a camera point right at my dingaling. It used to be a place to get away from all this technology.

What a weird fantasy you decided to share publicly.

Why I am praying I can leave the south for the front range of Idaho
>>
>>2865471
I know you're larping but the Front Range is in Colorado. You just might want to include accurate details in your fantasy.
>>
>>2865475
I'm not, poorly worded. Live in the south, remember? I meant the east edge of Idaho, where it runs behind the Tetons
