thanx to every1 4 everything! that was almost everything from tanteidan (minus joas 34). u went above & beyond. i was starting 2 think every1 had gone 2 a diferent origami mesage board. guess the countdown clock has deterred a lot of anons.
>Fukui_Hisao_-_Real_origami_is_amazing_Dinosaurs_and_ancient_creatures_pdf Is anyone able to reupload this? I found it in the archive but both links are dead.
>>628912 Unfortunately to get higher permission level you have to do stuff like decorating your profile, adding others as friends, engaging with others etc It's a very typical chinese site I've been there once. There was this guy who was looking for a tanteidan magazine. Luckily I had access to it but the damn site didn't let me comment because I didn't had that "permission level" so I thought I would pm him but to pm somebody you gotta add them as friend first which I did but it took him a day to accept the request and by that time someone had already posted that magazine. This pissed me off really badly. Also they have a credits system. You earn credits by posting magazines and books and similar stuff or by collecting bounties and you spend these credits by viewing books posted by others. Another thing I found was that you can add personal information like phone number, address, place of graduation etc on your profile(it's not mandatory but to earn higher permission level, you have to) which makes no bloody sense 'cause it's a damn Piracy site. It's a big mess. Also can someone share the diagrams for the yuki sato's dahlia or the huywern from vog 20 years?
Zhezhixueyuan IS a better opion to 4chan. It's a hassle to level up, but it's worth it People there share new stuff, answer requests and actually DO origami. After a first and last glance at 4chan searching for origami resources, I get the feeling it's 99% horders that haven't done any origami in years and trolls with no life other than trying to make other people as sad and miserable as they are. If you came to 4chan looking for an origami community, this is not the place. DO NOT ENGAGE. You've been warned.
>>629091 A couple of years ago there was a thread dedicated to reposting stuff from zhezhixueyuan, and they reposted a dozen or more books but it was deleted not archived after a few days. Guess thats a big no-no.
>>629164 It wasn't bumped AND it's not on archive. You can find anywhere on 4chan. Also "repost all the time"? All I see is repost requests and no answers. But I guess that's just anons not caring.
>>629136 was gonna buy it.but then i saw that jeong jaeils new book was goin on sale the same day.gonna buy that 1 instead.the gorilla looks wicked awesome! on a side note.does ay1 know if pdfs from origami shop have a drm aside from my name and address on every page.wanna trade them but i need 2 erase all trace of ownership 1st and couldnt find any info online.
>>629304 yeah.every1 thats a member with the right "reading permission" enough bank notes and all the other crap required.try asking some1 here 2 repost it and c how that goes.heres a preview:get it yourself
>>629304 It's a shame because I want nothing to do with that site. But I'll live without their golden treasure trove or whatever. I just think it's a shame these things are a tiny bit gatekept desu.
>>629305 >>629339 Yeah, well, you get the same treatment from some of these dumbass private trading sites when you ask someone from there to repost magazines and books here. I've been asking for NOA magazines 111 and 112 for years, so I don't help anyone with re-posting anything either. Live and Learn.
>>629305 >>629339 >>629334 That's the reason I started to buy books, waaaay less hassle. Private trading sites? What private trading sites? I was wondering where everybody had gone to. I get the feeling there's only other 4 or 5 guys who bother to post stuff here.
>>629344 >Private trading sites? What private trading sites? I know what you mean by buying books. As far as the private trading sites, I forget what they call them, but you literally have to be invited to join them.
>>629344 >Private trading sites? What private trading sites? They are private discords. They normally claim to have this and that, but have never proven that they actually have what they say they do.
>>629352 Tought so. I joined zhezhixueyuan to download all the new stuff, it takes some getting used to but it was worth it. And I get he feeling that people who share stuff here are treated like chumps and suckers, so I'll pass.
>>629353 >zhezhixueyuan It's actually a pretty good site. It just takes a little while to build up your credits if you just leave a thank you for all the posts in there, since you only get 10 credits for each thank you that you leave. However, your credits build up a lot quicker when you upload stuff and people download them. Good luck.
>>629353 Being a gatekeeper is such a retarded way to look at this. I get why you would gatekeep a book you've paid for, but this is on another level. I've only read /po/ so far but now I've joined that dogshit chink site, and if I farm something out I'll share it here. Without trying to trade, get good boy points or my dick sucked in exchange. If everyone just did this from the beginning, we would all need to farm less and have more books. But no, some people just want to play businessmen and treat everything as a transaction, sucking the fun out of everything. Grow up and learn to enjoy the act of sharing with the community without expectations. It is what modern society is built upon.
>>629370 No, I'm not upset. You're saying it's hard to find when it's readily available. I was just simply stating where it was to be found. Now, if that makes you think I am upset by letting you know that, then maybe you have a few screws loose.
>>629363 >>629366 >>629368 am i missin somethin? r u guys talkin abt the origami tanteidan conv 29 that was shared @ the beginnin of this thread? r the links down or what? gettin off topic r we not?
There's more on zhezhi xueyuan than just Origami Tanteidan Magazine #216 and Cute & Funny Origami. There's also Folding Fantasy 3, Origami Masterpieces, Origami Life: Wings & Tails and Daily Origami. But I refer you to my previous comment about been treated like a chump and a sucker if you share something here.
Can not enter Zhezhixueyuan, this is the message: "Sorry! This site has been shut down by the administrator. Please contact the administrator for details."?!
>>629384 Is it permanently shut down though? The message I get says "currently", so it could come back, but if it doesn't it was popular enough that some other similar site might thake its place. I remember there was another chinese site, can't remember the name but it started with a d, not as good though. Sorry man, but I don't think anyone here's gonna repost anything any more. It's not that kinda crowd. Good luck.
>>629384 It's not dead, it just off limits to overseas users. To many foreigners had joined apparently. You'll need a mainland China VPN (not Hong Kong or Taiwan) and a bunch of other stuff but you can still access it. Ask the AI for a step by step.
>>626588 Literally just joined then this happened, lmao. I at least already have a trove to work through, but this is so autistic just to be able to access fold patterns.
The AI keeps telling me that it's still running but that it's blocking western IPs, when I asked "is the chinese website zhezhixueyuan.com shut down for good?" But it runned for years without doing that. And I'm not paying for a mainland China VPN just to find out. So... I don't suppose anybody got friends and/or family in China they can ask?
>>629398 What about Europeans, do they still have access? But, honestly, they still aren't going post anything in there that isn't or doesn't become available on another site in the future. The members there just repost the same way people repost here on 4chan. No one ever posts anything new anyway, so maybe it doesn't really matter if it's gone for good.
>>629404 anons here rarely repost.much less share somethin new.at best theyll tell u where 2 go 4 old stuff thats not hard 2 find.that kamiya 4 & aircraft posts happen like once a leap year.no1s gonna repost otm216 or daily origami until theyre available everywhere else.like nxt year mayb.so u know.adjust ur expectations
>>629404 sometimes it just takes forever for stuff to show up on other sites. I don't get why people are so protective about re-sharing these files... It's a pretty small group of people who actually care about this (even globally) so what's the point of being exclusionary??
>>629408 Elitism and egoism. They 'other' everyone outside an arbitrary given circle for a variety of personal reasons and treat attaining the knowledge itself as a rite of passage into the community. It's tribalistic retardation that you still see even in MMOs. Most problems in the world exist because someone has to feel special so it's nothing new desu
>>629410 i think it has 2 do with 4chan bein the type of place where u come 2 gloat:look what i got & u dont & troll more than anythin.anonymity and unaccountability have that effect on peopl.also u gain nothin sharin stuff here.theres no reciprocity.any1 know if theres another site like zhezhixueyuan?a rival mayb?rubybook still around but it has deleted most of its origami books
>>629416 dude the links @ the beginin of this thread for that book still work.download all then merge them usin a site like ilovepdf .com.whats the problm?
I don't want to start a new thread and bump anything off the last page, so I'll ask here: does anyone know a good papercraft template for Star Trek's USS Voyager? The only one I could find was by Ninjatoes, and that one is a bit wonky. Hand drawing aside, the engineering just isn't that good. Is there something better out there?
>>629442 If it's 30mb file it would be perfectly fine. Unfortunately, it's 11mb overcompressed version. Crease lines are hardly visible. I don't understand why people upload stuff like that.
