They did ignore Trump, didn't they? Biden kept Merrick Garland as Attorney General in order to "heal" the nation despite Trump's insurrection attempt, and failed to prosecute Trump as a result.

This. If anything, the problem is that they never went for the kill. Even with the illegal presidental records stuff and the court cases against Trump coming out of New York and a number of other things, the Democrats allowed the clock to run out without actually *doing* anything.
