It's only open for the duration of the ceasefire, so long as Israel does not attack Lebanon. Opening the Strait was never the goal of attacking Iran. It was the default before the attack. Iran regime is still in place, still has their uranium, still has their missile program and can reclose the strait anytime they'd like. US is going to attack again and things will escalate beyond what we've seen so far.
