I used to live in Broussard La. for 3 years when I worked in the oilfield back in the 90's. Lafayette was the largest nearby city. I had to hire another attorney along with Grande-Mère's to better control what needed to be done and arranged to my satisfaction. Which is another reason we go between Texas and Louisiana so much. Both of my wives are called Grande-Mère by all under the age of 40 in her family, and I'm Grande-Père. So a lot goes on in Louisiana. It's complicated, simple and sweaty.

No, I don't think he is. Most states have open container laws that make it illegal to even have an open container of alcohol in the car. The immediate issue with a drive thru daiquiri shop is that they would be serving you a daiquiri in a cup, which is technically an open container and would be illegal, but these places get around that by putting tape or some other kind of seal on them which makes it legal unless you break the seal. It's flimsy, but cops and courts go with it.
