If you're religious as a young person I sort of just think something's wrong with you, to a large extent.
Went to catholic school, did the church on weekends thing, read the books and did the philosophy. At some point I wanted to know more and got into esoteric stuff, and that's always yielded more than just the religious surface-level stuff.
So I'm not really interested in MUH RELIGION or whatever, which is largely repeated patterns that don't seem to match besides it just being someone's tradition.
