Also it had the reverse intended consequences. And Mike Pence never had the power to declare a do-over. If he had attempted to do so in the manner Trump wanted then he would've been derelict in his duty as Vice President and in violation of his oath to uphold the constitution (the constitution refers to an act, and that act stipulates that the VP shall certify the election by reading the votes).
