Couple reasons -- first was that after Nixon all other presidents allowed the DOJ to be independent. So even if Biden wanted to "bust Trump," he was restrained by the need to let the DOJ be apolitical. Second, because, believe it or not, democrat leadership (the old guard, like Carville and Pelosi) thought the whole thing was salacious and damaging to the country. They knew that the American people would freak the fuck out if we knew how connected Epstein actually was to seemingly everyone at the highest level. They focused on "kitchen table issues" since the 60s or so -- the kind of things Americans used to discuss when sitting around the... kitchen table, I guess? It's antiquated. None of us even eat dinner together anymore.

Have you ever spent an afternoon reading Epstein's emails? The total lack of literacy, the low morals, the gossiping, etc -- it shows you that this is how the world is actually run: a bunch of average people whose primary attribute isn't competency or intelligence but just... well, that's what's missing.
