Name one thing actually wrong with Hogan winning at WM9. Despite what revisionist IWC faggots would have you believe, the crowd loved it.

It was contrived and stunk of Vince's fears of moving forward and Hogan taking advantage of that. The crowds were already getting tired of Hogan at that point and despite it being Mania and the reaction was promising, he didn't last.
Bret needing Hogan's help after salt in the eyes and being okay with Hogan walking in and stealing his moment in the most boneheaded way, on top of giving the newly crowned Yokozuna a mere 2 minute world title reign, the whole thing made everyone look stupid in the long run and the only one who walked away fine with the whole thing was Hogan. 9 should have been Bret's Mania and Hogan was neither leading, willing to follow and was certainly incapable of getting out of the way.

the worst part is that the whole card was booked with screwjob finishes. hogan taking home the belt wasn't the problem; it's every match leading up to it that's the problem.
were the fans really sick of hulkamania or were they sick of screwjob finishes, from guys that didn't want to put anyone over and vince insisting on sending the fans home happy?
the theming, crowd size, outdoor lighting, entrances, were all solid. yet 9 is considered one of the worst manias and it wasn't hogan beating yoko, that killed it.

At this time Hulkemania was getting pretty stale and people weren't particularly happy with the cartoonish 80's wrestling presentation Hogan represented. People were reacting very positively to Bret and his more realistic approach to wrestling. So Bret represented a style of wrestling people pretty much what the people wanted to see. And instead of that WWF did a typical Vince move and went with what the people were rejecting. After winning Hogan knew it wasn't working well for him either and went to WCW. This was probably the first high-profile instance of Vince becoming out of touch with the crowds. And he definitely corrected that around when the Attitude era kicked in. But for him to come to that realization he first needed WCW to kick his ass business-wise.

Nothing wrong with it for Hogan and the 1993 WWF. Everything wrong with it for Bret Hart and the WWF for the rest of that decade. Hogan was the draw, but Bret should have refused to do it, and left for WCW right there and then. Wrestlemania 9 was the start of Bret's KWAB Saga.

New generation was even more cartoonish than the 80s. You had guys like the Comet Kid and Isaac Yankem running around with over-the-top goofy gimmicks. If they wanted realistic wrestling, they would have been watching NWA territory shows.

Bret getting paired with that fat shitter yoko was already a problem. Vince insisted on shuffling Savage off to commentary when WM9 could’ve been him passing the torch to Bret after he’d beaten Flair for the belt at the previous Mania

when i watched it as a kid Bret was my favorite, but i liked when Hogan won. i wore a Hogan sweatshirt to school the next day, and it was hot out. the following Raw was cool too when Bret challenged Hogan. what sucked is we never got Bret vs Hogan and in fact Hogan didnt really do anything again til losing it back to Yoko with the weird exploding camera thing. Mania itself was cool, but everything after sucked

Bret should have been unconscious. Him being "blinded" and telling Hogan to go get Yoko is dumb. Even if Bret was knocked out and Hogan came to the rescue, why did he win the belt? How was the belt on the line? It doesn't make sense in kayfabe.

I just watched all of Superstars from 1990 and am up to 1994.
The big problem was Bret was being established as the new ace. Bret loses and Hogan makes easy work of Yoko. Hulk then doesn't wrestle on TV until he loses the belt. It may have been good for business but it hurt Bret's build and pretty much halted the late spring/early summer months of WWF 1993.
