Is there anyone out there genuinely and sincerely defending the build for this show?

Outside of the Pat and Gunther/Seth stuff, it's been fine.
And with Gunther/Seth, I think they assumed either Bron or Seth would be healed so they kept Gunther on the side until they were sure, then they booked the match.

I actually respect your opinions on things desu. When they drop longform "road to" videos on the youchoob, which builds are worth watching? They've already started with McIntyre vs Fatu, do i invest the 40 minutes?

I appreciate the support.
Brock/Oba has been done very well and it was probably their biggest hit.
Dom/Finn has made sense, just it wasn't anything too spectacular
Drew/Fatu didn't start off the best way possible but they've been involved with each other for months and they've done a totally fine job with it.
Roman/Punk had a strong first segment together and they really should have just stopped there. But they had time to fill, started taking it in various directions, Roman absolutely cooked Punk on the mic and none of the extra stuff worked that well. It's still Roman/Punk though. We've only seen them go 1v1 once in 2014, either guy could win and whatever happens will affect the next few months of TV.
Orton/Cody had such an easy story. Orton wanted Title #15 and he turned heel when Cody told him he wanted Orton at his best. They also had history together in Legacy. Instead, they got Pat McAfee involved and it went off track.
AJ/Becky has mostly made sense and been fine, just it has been going on since September and AJ really sucks in the ring.
Gunther/Seth is just a random way to get two people on the card whose booking got messed up.
Vaquer/Liv hasn't been that good. Vaquer said something to her in Spanish which upset Liv and they wanted us to go to Youtube to see what she said. I never bothered. Vaquer also had some kind of injury which messed things up. WWE often just seems to take breaks from using her for unknown reasons and that hurts stuff like this.
Jade/Rhea was pretty standard. Rhea won the Rumble, Jade and her crew have attacked her some and so forth.
Uso's/LA vs The Vision/Speed - The Vision has been feuding with Jimmy Uso and LA since they started. Maybe not every week, but they are both in top heel/face roles and they've interacted a ton.
Trick/Sami - Sami wanted to get on Mania and could only do so by winning the title. Sami's an easy guy to pick on and Trick is good at smacktalking people. No problems there.

I ran out of space but I think a highlight video is probably the best way to piece all their interactions together. It's been good on paper but everyone is too worried about Pat McAfee. Drew's doing the "I got screwed" thing again and he's been ripping Fatu for being a criminal.

you keep saying shit like "is fine" "makes sense", like the bar is so low that the biggest praise you can give is "this makes sense at least"
unfathomably grim. this has been the most boring road to Wrestlemania ever and I've been watching 1999.
not a single exciting segment or creative storyline. just "I'm the better wrestler" "I'm not your friend anymore" "I want to be champion" or the retarded "WWE SUCKS BTW" worked shoots.
and next year it's in Saudi Arabia. TKO has killed Wrestlemania.

You can always tell when a fanboy knows something is trash, cause they always say "it's fine". "Fine" is their garbage, but they can't bring themselves to say it. When something is actually decent, you don't hear that word at all, you hear "it was the GOAT!" and all these other hyperbolic phrases. See it in every mentally ill fanbase.

What did you hate about Raw this week?

It's objectively a better build than the last two years. Rock carried 40 and Cena heel turn carried 41. The rest of the card was trash for both. I want to see pretty much every match on the card (other than becky and aj and the 4 way women tag piss break) and im excited to see how both main events turn out. Sorry if this upsets you somehow.

no hate, just apathy. nothing happened for 2.5 hours.

40 and 41 had better builds because the week to week was still entertaining and somewhat unpredictable. this year the big angles and surprises were Pat McAfee being the man behind Orton's heel turn, Seth being the masked man, ishowspeed joining the vision and Roman calling punk "old"
none of that compares to the final boss and Cena's awful, yet interesting, heel turn.

I apologize for that. Some of the things I see don't stand out as much because I watch so much and in the end, most people end up coming back to watch the next show anyway. I'm not better than anyone and your opinion or anyone else's is just as valid as mine.
The story/feud/match making sense is the most important thing to me with wrestling. I gotta believe in the reason that a situation is happening. Babyface good, heel bad, the big guy throws people, the little guy flips, x wants the title and y is feuding with z so they are going to have more of a brawl than a classic.
Most matches really are average though, especially when it comes to weekly TV shows. They have limited time. They don't want people to get injured and they want you to pay money to see the big matches and happenings. The wrestlers also in general only put out their best effort on the biggest shows. Even the supposedly (key word) super high end stuff does not have the staying power it used to because there's so many shows and there's so many things to compare it to.
Brock/Oba was WWE's best work leading up to Mania in my opinion. It went as it should have and it's just two alpha dudes trying to dominate the other. It will probably be a 5-10 minute destruction derby with people kicking out of big moves, lots of suplexes/throws and someone going through a rail. I think if you took 100 bookers, 90 of them would have probably done things similar to what they are doing. Some would have them not touch each other though until the big match.
I also do like what they have done with Drew/Fatu. Fatu is a wild animal and a criminal. Drew has correctly pointed this out and has a bit of a crazy side to him as well. They interfered in each other's matches, threw each other off of platforms and Drew beat him like a handcuffed prisoner.

I'd also 100% agree with you that in general, the workers are not on the level they used to be and that the Attitude Era produced higher highs, but sometimes lower lows. They used to be able to do whatever they wanted due to a lack of bigwig sponsors and a much less PC culture. I miss that. Now they can't offend or take a lot of risks with that stuff. The average wrestler used to be someone like a Brock or Fatu who was someone you wouldn't want to mess with. The average wrestler today is like a Kofi Kingston. He's happy to be there. You could get into a fight with him and maybe even win and he's far more interested in the vidya then nailing Vince's girl.
