yeah, when I was watching Shawn's NXT I loved it because I'm partial to wacky gimmicks and silly storylines when exectued well. But it's clear that these ideas aren't really sustainable if anyone has hopes of progressing

I haven't watched NXT in a long time but my understanding is he dropped the Sopranos gimmick for the most part and is doing a le silent baddass one instead? I know everyone said that his gimmick would never work if he ever wanted to get to the main roster but I thought he'd be the one guy they'd take a chance on. I mean then again Danhausen is cursing people and fans love it, why not have a silly gabagool gimmick too
