There will be many summers to laze around in the future when your rule is secured, this is the time to think about getting big! The changes your actions have wrought bring swift consequence, as you have not seen a single boar since you started descending down the mountain. The closer you get to the village the emptier you stomach gets and soon enough you are getting that hunger meanness. Soon you start to find human trails and its not long after you started to follow one do you encounter a convoy!
With a loud below and stomp the humans abandon their carts and run down the trail in terror! leaving you with their tasty prizes.
Among the goods they leave behind you find a barrel of sake!!! You don't know how it tastes due to your sire's abstinence, but you do know its prized among those who partake!

The river spirit gives you a ride down the river, growing in size himself as he does so. You discus your mutual connection the the shrine maiden. He tells you that he contacted the shrine maidens much further down the river at their temple, to sort out a growing darkness in the mountains. Eventually the darkness cleared and things returned to normal. Generally, he doesn't care much for humans, and believing the matter resolved, he never followed up. You know the maiden did not succeed in her task, but are unwilling to delve deeper and find out why. At least for now.
Later that night, the river spirit drops you off near the human village and parts ways. Warning you to be wary of humans as he does so. From yonder away, you can smell the uniform aroma of many dinners being cooked. You are eager to being your reign of terror.
