She was horribly co-dependent and kept dating shitty guys. Not always straight up abusive but she had a savior complex. Some of them I liked in theory but had no self control and dragged her down through drug addiction. The guy she's dating now is the very first guy who has ever been obsessed with her and treated her extremely well, but his own ex was a violent psycho so he's kind of whipped, and he's clearly got the tism so he's kinda awkward. She wouldn't stop talking about how he's not the kind of guy she would usually go for, how he's so much better for her but he's not actually her type, etc. etc. He had his own breakdown over it because she just kept saying that shit right in front of him to all her friends. They patched things up, sorta, and he basically proposed to her, but it's at a point I almost feel like he's too good for her.
As for the girltalk shit, the friend in question is my old babysitter, long time family 'friend'. But she's like the quintessential stuck up single mom who thinks she's worth waaaay more than she is. 3 kids from 3 different dads, all of them complete shitheads, but she keeps dating the same exact kind of guy learning absolutely nothing and any time I hear them chatting it's literally just her making fun of random guys over basically nothing, guys who cant possible be as bad as the dudes she keeps picking. The most recent thing was gossip over her latest drama episode boyfriend and was a ton of "I bet he [random bullshit they're clearly making up on the spot]" mixed with her reading off his text rants where he's completely nailing the kind of person she is and she's just in complete denial over it. Just 0 self awareness from either of them, complete lack of consideration if not outright contempt for the people they claim to care about, and insane levels of unearned entitlement.
