I have a thing that happens to me where people (women especially) find interest in me because I am reserved and look cool, mysterious and detached so they try to get closer to me but once they do they are immediately given the social ick because I am actually a joyful talkative man. They instantly pull back and stop interacting with me. Why is "stoic, dead inside man" the only archetype you can can embody as a male?

Ugh I've had that happen too. I come off as quiet at first because I'm shy and awkward, but when I get closer, I really open up, and I've had multiple women get grossed out and say I seem like a faggot because of it

Read a thing once where when people perceive you, they've got this idea of you inside their head
They project what they think you are or how you're ought to be based on the way you look, how you dress, how you carry yourself, etc.
So if you look one way but act another, this messes with their assumption of you so they lose all feelings towards you
Been there, done that

I had this coworker who wanted to fuck me and she would do this thing where she talked dirty to me to my face, but if I responded at all, it would give her the ick. She wanted me to just listen to her be a slut. As long as I never opened my mouth, she would not stop giving me attention and the more I talked shit to her the more it egged her on.
Women like that are hoes obviously.
