Lots of purple flowers are pretty, but it's the smell that is orgasmic

Here in California the wisteria is almost all wilted already, while the jasmine has just started blooming. I remember seeing and smelling these white flowers until mid July, but we had an early spring this year.

do you have hibiscus or other flowers growing everywhere in cali? that was my favorite part of florida. here we only have boring dogwoods. i really liked the japanese maple i walked through the other day at a plant nursery though.

I usually find it harsh, grating and overpowering. Wish the gardeners and homeowners had a level between "dead lawn" and "five bushes of the same smelly plant per square meter"

there are. love them. i love flowers in general, the smelly stuff is just often planted too densely for me. don't mean to be a downer.

don't know worry! we're cool. do you have a favorite type of wildflower in particular? i love my buttercups and indian blanket, not to mention lupine, snapdragon, and marigold. i really love the names too.
>forget-me-not
>black-eyed susan
>columbine

>sweet alyssum

>evening primrose
how wonderful to get to live in a world where beauty grows wild and free from the ground and we give the blossoms charming, lyrical names after our favorite things to call them by.

Do you guys enjoy pictures of lowers and stuff?

I hate the idea that men ought to hate beauty. Especially the beauty of nature. It's so counter intuitive.

i think sex and beauty are innately intertwined. And acting like you value one without t the other is disingenuous.

God, so many things. The desert. The city. Forests, flowers. Man itself. The stars. trees, snow, rainbows, And art, of so many different kinds. That's just to start.

The desert in particular reminds me of home. especially when there's a sunset. As for the other things, I think the colors. It's always so crazy to me that things so beautiful like flowers or frogs or rainbows, just exist. We don't even have to make them. Flowers specifically are great because not only do they have color, but they smell nice and are soft to the touch. Something about flowers specifically has always made me happy every time I see them. I donno.

Have you ever sat down at a tree trunk and stared up through the leaves above you? A canopy of green and gold splashed across a background of blue sky.

Do you ever wish on them? I wish on four leaf clovers, shooting stars, and 11:11 when they happen. I know it does nothing. I still do it. I like to think.. what if?
>>
a floral thread in my robot hub? nice
>>84372263
wisteria look great, but its a lot of work to get them like that, they only flower on previous years shoots, so you gotta plan your trimming and wire them in advance, also the plant is a pain in the ass, it takes over and does not behave, much respect for ppl that can manage this
>>84372719
I live in an area with lots of apple, pear and cherry trees, theyre about the same, love walking through the fallen petals, wind blowing them around, its a magical thing, can really feel the winter is gone and good times are coming
>>84372729
man i have a serrated japanese maple, seiryu variety, its lovely, also been trying to get cuttings of a regular maple but after hundreds of tries ive had no luck getting them to root, pain in the ass
>>84372794
best part about wildflowers is the amount of seeds they make, once they have the seed pods i generally grab a pocket full of various kinds and just scatter them around in places and ppls yards while im on a walk, poppies and foxglove give tons of seeds, but ppl generally regard them as weeds, also pic related, fking love my agaste spreading eco terrorism
>>
>>84373455
lol I'll take it
>>84373463
I used to when I was a kid. I would wish on a lot of things, wishbones, shooting stars, holding my breath in a tunnel, dandelions, throwing a penny into a fountain. Lots of things.
