Is there any reason not to just stop caring and get really fat? Food feels good.

I've done this a couple of times. Given up and just started eating as much as I want. Over time from the quantity of food your stomach stretches out and it becomes expensive to get full. I ended up eating out at buffets 3 times a week because it was much cheaper to fill my stomach, most of them in the area still recognize me when I walk in despite that being years ago. I'd sit down and go through 10+ plates of chinese slop and stand up looking pregnant, a few times I had people come up and ask me if I was a bodybuilder or competitive eater.
It's nice always having energy and I was killing it in the gym 5-6 days a week so I was super strong and quite big and I kind of liked having a belly but I also felt ugly and my mom started making fun of me for it. Also you get hot easier which sucks in summer.
I peaked around 240lbs which isn't that bad but it was still slowly going up.
I wouldn't do it again

I started keeping dill pickles as a fall back snack in case my willpower breaks. And I have stopped eating anything after dinner. Takes off a few pounds just doing that. After 20 I s I had to do a bit more. 24 hr fasting has also yielded results. I've never gone further than 24 hours though.
