why do they think it's cool to have greek roman pagan gods names instead of something American like Columbia or Yorker?

>something American like Columbia
>Libertas is the Roman goddess and personification of liberty, freedom, and personal rights.
>the first picture that comes up is "Columbia" (which is Libertas with a "war bonet").

Oh, and I come from an era where that basically means hard drugs, so for you to think that way means youre a reflection of my world.
Why is Gen Z not drinking?...same reason. Youre younger, so its all youve known.

Yeah, well, I work 25 hours a day, 8 days a week, its a lot of work macro-managing the world and myself at the same time, as well as find answers to certain "unresolved phenomena". Hence why Ive traveled all over the world.
Im tracking it hyper-spacially back in time on many different scales.

Its one step down from "monotheism" in a wsy that isnt trying for, because when you do it invites challenge.
Psychologically, Sociologically, its simple "little i" idolarty, viewing it's relation in some personality or temperment lens, which is real and true...just "bronze age Psycho-Analysis mixed with Genomics (with bloodlines). "The gods" are always real, but its Mono perspective'd.
As for capital "I" Idolatry, maybe anothrr time, its far more insidious. It hides in everywhere, no amount of "idol destroying" gets rid of it, they just imediatelly latch onto something else.
Social phenomena of keep evolutionary directions coherent over time across...well, the planet. Im in Bangkok and inside a lot of shops it feels super Westernized, and dey be why-peepol eeer'where. I had brunch in a cafe and it was full of 20-something Westerners. A bunch of NORMIES (most of (You)'s here).
Im so out of touch with "normalcy" and live an austere and oppressive lifestyle. To "win" or something, I wouldnt remember if I was sober. Doesnt matter.

No I am just normal, neither some bitter plebbit fedora tipper nor some tradcath (I am not even christian kek), I do not subscribe to any of the toxic internet larps because I have a pretty much normal social life, I might be posting here but I am not a terminally online hikikomori.

are you legitimately retarded?
What are the planets called? they are named after greek mythology. And a lot of stars too. Ergo, there is obviously a cultural theme going on, so space-related stuff tends to get named with stuff that fits. Obviously there are a lot of things in space, so stuff ends up getting called NGC xyz or whatever, but if you're gonna spend a whole bunch of money on a mission don't you want it to have a cool/inspiring/thematic name?

The Greco-Roman religion has been dead since the Reign of Justinian so there is no one to offend with this. Naming shit after Greco-Roman deities is a Western traditions that goes back many centuries.
This goes beyond Western culture by the way. The Chinese do it as well and most of their space stuff is named after Chinese mythology

Oof. Tough break, little guy. Don't worry, we'll let you sit at the big kids' table as long as you don't be an asshole about your lack of intelligence and superiority complex.

Roman LARPing has been a thing ever since the Western Roman Empire fell. That's why there was Charlemange, scholasticism, the concept of virtuous pagans. Even the Holy See views itself as Rome with the leader titled as Pontifex Maximus. It's why there is still January, February, March, April, etc. and not like St. Andrews Month, St. Pauls Month despite how christian Medieval Europe was.
>>16945285
If you are not trolling, then you are literally a retard. Last time I check there hasn't been any significant following of the Greco-Roman deities since the 500s AD. And no Neo-Pagan LARPers do not count.

The metaphors that link the character to the mission are apt and theists would be doing a sacrilege, so you really need to ask why christian calendars include various greek and roman gods for days and months?

They are a type of Eugenics combinations/energy pairings, that cross the Schism divide, also explains their rise during late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Several years ago someone posted on /pol/ claiming to be one and said it was more "green/purple pilled", which is that deSchisming. Fighting on both sides until recently, then me and Trump and all the New World Order, where "green/purple" are a lesser spiritual focal point but critical nonetheless. The breaking up of 5-Eyes and rebuilding a new one from different components connecting much more diverse connections. Bibi saying "US and Israel wont be as close in the future." is related to it, because nose-Jews operate on the same "vector", Greater Israel (all the countries Iran attacked).
They still has wierd sex shit because its not a "perfect union". None of them are except the one that is.

Scientists arguing in the 1800s and the names of the two camps are "Vulcanists and Nepunists".

If and only if scientists are atheists then they name their space missions with the names of roman and greek gods such as apollo or artemis or mercury to avoid accidentally invoking a shinto or etruscan god

Both atheism and agnosticism are naturalist positions thus not creationist positions. Its a TRUE DICHOTOMY NO POSSIBLE 3RD POSITION
Both atheism and agnosticism are positions of non-positions, the difference is agnostics say they dont have enough information to make the call
Both positions are still in contradiction with 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics and quantum mechanics
>not a single naturalist position is backed by natural science go ahead and name one (you can't)

No they don't and that is why you couldn't source your claim, you could only repeat it.

>the conservation law states that the total energy of an isolated system is constant
>In a closed system (i.e. there is no transfer of matter into or out of the system), the first law states that...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laws_of_thermodynamics#Second_law
>When two initially isolated systems in separate but nearby regions of space, each in thermodynamic equilibrium with itself but not necessarily with each other, are then allowed to interact, they will eventually reach a mutual thermodynamic equilibrium.
