Three times in my life i thought i got my hands on what i thought was original idea in field of mathematics yet it was known before
First time it was Taylor by centuries
Then Ramanujan by a hundred or so years
And now thing from 2000's
Why things that catch my interest cant be original ?
Luckly a aspect of freshest rediscovery attempt is probably unknown and may or may not be relatively fast computing speed

It keeps happening because you're not yet up to speed with where math currently is. By the time your education shows you where the boundaries are, you'll hopefully be well equipped to broaden our horizons.
This is basically true of all fields.
