Also, our coaches prioritize physical athletic specimens who can run fast. They don't know how to teach technique or tactics so they ignore and focus on filling their teams with athletes and play hoofball. That's why mediocre European academy dropouts get scholarships to NCAA soccer then look like Lionel Messi next to the American players. Countries like Norway and Iceland have superior youth coaching and development at every level compared to us.
