He was bullied by his dad who only gave him tough love, basically treating him like shit if he didn't perform on the field as a kid, so since it worked for him he thinks that will work with everyone.

The funniest version I saw of this was on some show Wayne Rooney did called soccer skills. Total meme shit where he'd go "okay I want to take the ball control it then shoot it at that target on this council estate". Then he'd demonstrate it and make it look piss easy. Needless to say the people actually trying it would fuck up and come nowhere near.

Henry's always spoken his first coaching and said with players now you basically cannot treat them like total shit any more. They won't play for you and they won't leave, they'll get you fired.
