Wait what, why are "season tickets" a scam in the USA?

I mean, I pay £320 a year for my EFL Championship club's season ticket and it won't rise if we're promoted to the Premier League next season.

I can't imagine them ringing me up and going "Alright son d'ya a ticket for ten games for £500"?

Can we get some of the repost and quotes I am sure there is something interesting in there

Season tickets are a reflection of demand, also teams do overcharge bit because they know there are people out there that will pay for those season tickets. For a franchise it's more worth it for 10 people to buy $3,200 tickets than it is to get 3,000 people to buy $10 tickets.

relenqhishing all your demands as a fan at the first mention of "prices are huge cause of demand" is such an american thing. These owners are already rich as fuck, why not demand them to keep ticket prices on the level of a meal at a restaurant instead of these moon prices?

Well it takes a special kind of retard to watch regular season games that don't matter

Why are you blaming anon for simply offering an explanation? You think us plebs have any control over what our jewish overlords do?

thats the point. fan groups could demand them to stop raising prices above the average cost for a steak in the town for example.

>fan groups
don't exist
and if there was pushback against the team/ownership, it gets ignored or the team simply moves to a different city lol

Name one thing that isn't a scam in the US of Trumpistan.

if they want the jew owner to relocate the team then sure they can do that.

basketball arenas are tiny, essentially a gymnasium. even an individual seat is like $400
>>
>>154244106
you're essentially paying a retainer to guarantee a seat for the games you actually want to watch, and in one specific seat too

it's simple, NBA and NBA fans are a joke
fans will stop showing up if the team isn't good or stars aren't playing so it's retarded to by tickets in advance because you can get 2nd hand tickets for a lot of games basically for free

buy tickets in advance*

enormous difference between seeing a professional NBA or NFL game and a paltry little soccer match that’s an every day occurrence in lickpisshield-on-kent

>relocate the team
I forgot Americans do that. Fucking grim.

The irony of this post when season football games happen once a week while NBA teams play several times a week.
Masterful bait, I almost took it.

>Buy season ticket
>Superstar player gets a serious injury during the first game
>Team now decides to tank on purpose aiming for draft
>Not only you spent more money than single tickets, you will now watch your team throw games on purpose the entire year
Even if it was fair priced, buying a season ticket for the NBA sounds like a gamble

We don't know the circumstances behind these ticket purchases. Are these single tickets last-second purchases in the nosebleeds? Are the season tickets closer to the court or are they demonstrably better? Also, the guys selling the season tickets know you're not going to see every game, so to get a good chunk of money up front for an empty seat is no skin off their back. Its like people who pay for gym memberships - the gym doesnt care as long as they get paid.

>Hello it's Shitterton FC calling, if you buy tickets for the games with Slugthorpe Town and Cheddar & Beanley Rovers we'll chuck you in a ticket to the Wankerley Wanderers match how does that sound
