wassup brother. great day to dunk on bulGAYria today
>>
>>154249141
Sup bro. Idk if you noticed, but there's a new malaysianon recently, and he talks like bulGAYria. I think it's him pretending to be me >>154248825
>>
>>154249190
Yeah I know it's him. He's pathetic. You gonna get to watch playoffs?
>>
>>154249237
Yeah, I'm gonna watch them if i'm not working on that day
>>
>>154249340
cool man. here are my picks for first round
OKC
Spurs
Wolves
Lakers

Pistons
Celtics
Knicks
Cavs
>>
>>154249376
Mine's the same except I'm taking the rockets over the lakers
>>
>>154249396
I think Rockets aren't that good and the whole KD burner thing destroyed the locker room. Look at how the rest of the team treats Sengun
>>
>>154249406
Yeah, but the lakers' defense won't survive a playoff series, but we'll see. Because this matchup is basically no defense team vs no offense team kek
>>
>>154249376
lakers are dead my guy

not like it matters, no one other than wembussy and SGAy are gonna be allowed to win the west for the next 8 years
>>
>>154249459
Yeah we'll see. Lakers can win a first round series but Oklachomo and SGAy are gonna repeat and like you said San Antonio will go back and forth for a few years. Detroit will probably be on the up and coming side since they have talent but they can't pay all those guys
>>
The rumor on the ESPN LA radio this morning was Kawhi wanted to go to the Warriors at the deadline and the Clippers nixed the deal. Looks like he's ready to get out of LA
>>
Silver wants us to believe the ratings are up 86% but then you talk to every sports fan you know and nobody watches NBA. He can lie all he wants but just look how slow the /nba/ general is versus all the other sports
>>
>>154249867
>but just look how slow the /nba/ general is versus all the other sports
But on the other side, NBA twitter is absolutely massive, probably the biggest of any sport.
>>
This jewrat is the worst thing that ever happened to the NBA after LeBron and Harden
>>
>>154249879
>doesn't know about the bots
I wouldn't take anything on twitter serious. Jewlon has more of an incentive to fake numbers than Silver
>>
I just did the unthinkable and went to the r3ddit NBA page and last night they barely got 1100 comments with at least a couple hundred bot posts for the Clippers-Warriors postgame. 10 years ago that would have been 3000. This league is dying for sure
>>
>>154249867
>just look how slow the /nba/ general is
It's only slow for petefag threads.
>>
>>154249909
That's true. There are a lot of people who boycott those threads. Thank you for making this one
>>
2023 Lakers vs Wolves still the best play in game so far
>>
>>154249909
Petefag threads are numales, beta males, cucks and incels

Non-Petefag threads are manly alpha testosterone driven shit talk, smack you in the face when you act out non-stop action

>>154249459
Luka isn't even injured
>>
>>154249960
Luka has been healed by Donald Jesus
>>
>>154249935
>>154249954
You're welcome. But I can foresee this thread getting nuked because that salty ass petefag cried to the jannies to get a previous thread of mine removed.
>>
>>154249867
>>154249904
you people are grade-A morons
the internet isn't open so you aren't ever seeing the full extent of comments or views on any page. you're algorithmically sorted into a section of the internet with whover will cause you to generate the responses they want
Silver has the actual raw data
>>
>>154249963
that other thread is dead. this is the main one
>>
>>154249967
>believes the media
go back
>>
>>154249960
It's a grade 2 strain bro. Unless they go to game 7, it's done for the lakers.
>>
>GIVE ME HOUSTON
>>
The Lakers have TWO LeBrons, how can they possibly lose??
>>
>>154249979
There's a chance he's back by next week. He's still young and it's not like he was athletic to begin with
>>
>>154250001
I'm just waiting on the first father/son poster
>>
WNBA is back
>>
>>154250008
I'm just glad they gave him the 65 game exception so that he can get the all nba 1st team award :')
>>
>>154250042
Who is this and is she a lesbian
>>
>>154250056
It's not his fault he had to leave the country for his kid to be born and miss time. He didn't load manage like Edwards. I just hope next CBA they remove the pay being tied to the awards
>>
>>154249867
It's sad but this is what the world is reduced to, validity and success based not on experience or cathartic release but rather on complicated and almost impossible to accurately track metrics and 'just believe me bro' numbers.
>>
>>154250042
...you don't think she...? nah. although...
>>
>>154250067
This is what happens when you let (((you know who))) into positions of power. They turn everything into deceit and immoral business practices, milking every possible dollar for the short term and not looking long term to build a sustainable customer base the hard way. NBA lost an entire generation of fans because they let the players run the league
>>
>>154250042
please don't be a lesbian, please don't be a lesbian
>>
I don't give a shit if it was intentional or not, Bam and Miami deserve this shit after what they did in the 83* game
>>
>>154250071
coal burner?
>>
The problem with NBA is none of the coaches have AVRA anymore. JJ Reddit and Thumb Lue don't intimidate shit
>>
>>154250075
>NBA lost an entire generation of fans because they let the players run the league
This is honestly true for my boomer dad, he used to watch games religiously whenever they were on TV, we talked the other day and he didn't even know Luka was on the Lakers, he hasn't follwed it in years.
>>
>>154250148
Players today are babies and can't be yelled at
>>
>>154250150
If you watched NBA in the 80s,90s and 00s, you know how far this league has fallen. It's unwatchable goyslop. Just jacking up 3s and memechucking with minimal defense played (or none at all). The regular season has turned into glorified practices. Just look at how intense this crowd was for a regular season game. Compare it to today's game and you'll understand why people have given up on NBA

>>154250164
When did all contracts become fully gauranteed? That is why we have all the resting and games taken off these days.
>>
>>154250177
That's a good question, I want to say in 1999 after the first lockout but I think they were guaranteed before that. What I do know is the players still showed up to play. The Spurs are the ones who started the load managing bullshit in 2013
>>
>>154250164
I'd pay good money to see Pat Riley chew LeBron out. That's why LeQuit ran back to Cleveland because he couldn't handle Riley telling him the truth and bruising his ego
>>
>>154250172
To be fair that is Lakers Celtics on Christmas and thus a Finals rematch of the year before but I get your point, marquee matchups back in the day used to have major playoff atmosphere's, today they don't. Hell there aren't even rivalries anymore.
>>
>>154250172
Nuggets vs Wolves from last years Christmas game was better than this
>>
>>154250186
I don't think they were always garaunteed, the full length anyway. Only stars used to get the full big garauntees. Now everyone does.
>>
>>154250196
I wouldn't pay a single cent to go watch NBA anymore and this is someone whose family had season tickets. We moved on. The games aren't exciting and we got tired of chasing the high or yesteryear
>>
>>154250199
not really. those highlights don't do it justice, that was a very intense game
>>
When the all star game is this empty, hopefully Silver and the owners get the message that shit is fucked. WWE is having the same issue right now with Wrestlemania not even close to being sold out because they are basically carbon copying the NBA right now. These greedy owners are milking the cow dry before they sell
>>
>>154250201
I still think not all contracts are fully guaranteed. You see a lot of team and player options too now versus back in the day. All the rotation guys have guaranteed contracts but I think the fringe guys are still not fully guaranteed
>>
>>154250148
This guy just had BOSS vibes and had the entire locker room's respect. Riley was a badass
>>
Phil Jackson was another one of those guys just on another level of AVRA. Coaches need to wear suits again
>>
Victory cigar on the sidelines was so based
>>
My Edgecum is gonna send the magic back into rebuilding mode >:)
>>
>>154250297
They just gotta trade Franz or Banchero. They can't keep both. Trade them to OKC and get some of those picks
>>
>>154250313
What makes you think OKC would want either? They have no cap space.
>>
>>154250313
>>154250323
Paolo/Franz will go to a mid team like the hawks. I've seen this played out before.
>>
>>154250323
Say they lose this year against San Antonio. They are gonna be looking to upgrade and make a big splash
>>
>>154250360
They'd just run it back with Sorber and their new top 12 pick. Pablo and Franz are both mediocre defenders and awful shooters; they have no place on OKC.
>>
>>154248511
>>154249141
>>154249190
>>154249237
>>154249340
This dirty retarded nigga starting thread wars, then proxy samefags a conversation with himself, becuase people aren't fucking with his thread. You are the biggest bitch of all time lmao.
>>
>>154250368
Ok then trade them to a retarded team like Portland or some shit where you can get their picks and hope they suck
>>
I can't be the only one who refers to the guys on OKC as Good Jalen and bad Jalen
>>
>>154250186
I don't think they were always garaunteed, the full length anyway. Only stars used to get the full big garauntees. Now everyone does.
>>
NBA is cooked when this is their guy
>>
>>154250440
10 day contracts are still a thing
>>
I'm enjoying this thread a lot m more than that off topic garbage in the petefag thread
>>
>>154250247
>>154250253
Doug Moe just passed too, who was AURA personified.

The thing about these OG coaches is they were former players: they came up through the NBA tradition as a player first then coach. Now all these new coaches are guys who never played in the league, let alone college, and come from largely academic/nerd backgrounds, so the players don't respect them, and they have no personality or real way of reaching the players. JJ and Ty Lue are like the only two former players coaching? And Reddick is a nerd anyway.
>>
>>154250441
Not his fault his AURA is fatal to yurobawbs
>>
>>154250297
The Magic just need a new coach, Paolo and Franz are both like 23, they'll be fine.
>>
>>154250471
They just need to start wearing suits again to start AVRA farming. I can't take them serious when they're out there wearing the same shit as the fans
>>
>>154250473
He is gonna hurt himself like Ja did trying to flop, only a matter of time
>>
>>154250489
>Sloan
Another guy who played in the NBA for 11 years. What's killing the game are these nerds like Hardy getting head coaching jobs. But also
>suits
>not wearing same shit as the fans
It's even worse than that, coaches are wearing warmups like they are players.
>>
>>154250489
Like the other anon said, they were all players and the players respected them for it. Spoelstra was the fucking video guy who somehow (nepotism) worked his way up
>>
>>154250506
You saw this shit first in the NFL where you get the most video game nerd looking dudes coaching and NBA tried to copy that success. Unfortunately the NBA didn't realize is that NFL doesn't have guaranteed contracts so if the players don't respect the coach you can't just cut them like NFL. JJ Reddit was doing podcasts for fucks sake and didn't learn the ropes
>>
>>154250516
The lack of former people who did it not running it anymore is killing a ton of industries: film, TV, theater, music, etc. They're all filled with academics who approach it in a vacuum but don't have any real talent or aptitude for it so they couldn't get into it any other way, but since they got into inorganically they don't have a frame of reference for the tradition. It's sad.
>>
>>154250535
Baseball too with that moneyball shit but even that was based more around smart toster construction than who was coaching them..
>>
>>154250555
All the managers in baseball are ex players. The GMs are all analytics nerds now but baseball is a turn based game so it's easy to lean into the statistics. NBA just isn't that kind of game but you got these teams thinking it translates over. If statistics mattered the Rockets would have been winning championships when Morey was in charge. What statistics don't factor in is shit like clutch gene and DAWG
>>
>>154250549
A lot of it is nepotism. Rarely do you get a successful business full of nepotism. Just look at how badly the Lakers and Knicks have been ran under the kids inheriting the business
