How can they justify this for a 9 mile/14 km train ride?

fifa doesn't run the train, new jersey does
new jersey says fifa owes them money and they'll have to charge this much on match days to get their money back
also
>flight to new york
>accomodation
>tickets to game
$150 isn't that much

The World Cup games in Atlanta are right next to multiple transit stations. The cost to go from the airport to the stadium: $2.50.

New Jersey promised to provide free transport and a free fanfest when they were bidding to become a host city. Yet now they're gouging fans and canceled the fanfest as they can't afford either. They don't ask others to cover the cost when there's a concert or another sports event. Pay up, jews. Compared to Qatar, Russia, Brazil or even South Africa the US hardly spent anything on infrastructure. The US shouldn't bid when they're too poor to host.

Subroc tried that... in 1993.
Spoiler alert, it didn't end so well.
