Can they do it next season? Finishing top half table in the Championship is no joke. Sponsors will be lining up at their doors to inject money into the club with aims to reach the Prem.

I find the surrounding hype extremely annoying. I'm completely neutral about the club itself, but getting this "OMG based Hollywood owners! Have you watched the show?" stuff over and over has annoyed me. I also don't really think Wrexham are a logical Premier League member like, say, Liverpool, or even Wolverhampton. So seeing them rise through the ranks, while normally soulful, does not feel right to me since I know where it is coming from and how elated that makes some casuals for whatever reason
If anything, I wonder if there are Wrexham fans out there who are getting annoyed as well. Imagine having your comfy and decent football club, and then it finally finds success ... but you suddenly have to share it with a gazillion Ryan Reynolds fans

Nice try, but no. These people are universally despised among fans here, most people from Bonn are Köln fans anyway
Even if I were, it would not be as bad as simping for a foreign club because of a Netflix (?) show

I almost feel sorry for Wreckscum, they were throwing money at thier promotion attempt from the conf for nearly 15 years, and were going to make it back eventually. Now theyre known for being the plaything of a couple of Hollywood fags who couldn't get back into the league without being bailed out. They're now r*ddit the football club

No. Parkinson will be sacked for failing to get promoted and the team will implode.

Spot on. The obsession with them has been bizarre. Is it the media wanting North American owners to be perceived as a good thing? It certainly wasn't caring about the National League/League Two/League One.

Exactly. What makes it worse is the owners have become bigger than the club. That's the biggest red flag of the entire thing. If McReynolds upped and sold today the media would forget Wrexham even existed.

Don't really mind Wrexham in the Premier League. Its the typical 4chan's mind, when a bad owner is around you shit on them which is justified. But when a good owner who cares about the fans, offers free pints during the Welsh derby, brings the tickets to half prices for 18-25 year olds. Its even worse for them.

No, I think it's quite significant to point out, format autist.
You obviously don't remember the shitshow at Northampton Town a good few years ago where £10m of council funds to rebuild a stand at Sixfields suddenly vanished: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-50951621

1. It's not called the English Premier League, it's called the Premier League
2. English teams have won the Welsh Cup 21 times between them
3. That doesn't include The New Saints, the biggest club in Welsh football today and who play in England
4. You are gay

>Throw in the fact half their fanbase are american casuals who are more of a fan of a disney tv show than they are people who actually like the sport.
The funniest bit is how it was being pushed as "reviving lower league football". It did fuck all.

I've never made an OP for the PL general because even other UK flags would bitch about not being able to find """"epl"""" in the catalogue.

I don't think it helps that the Football League changed their 120+ year old name to the ENGLISH Football League just to capitalise on Americans trying to find 'soccer' clubs rather than gridiron ones.

Same as the Salford documentary from a good few years back.
