This is especially funny because Union are anti-football: the club. They love playing terrorist football with absolutely no offensive output only to then somehow score via a shitty corner kick. The rest of the game, they just park the bus and commit "clever" fouls. When it comes to actual play quality, they're arguably the worst team in the league, and have been for years. Yes, but it is a different kind of hate. Bayern are very unpopular, but mostly begrudgingly respected. They are seen as an evil you cannot do much against structurally. Wolfsburg has almost as many haters, but virtually no fans. Virtually every fan of every club agrees they are absolute scum because they are a 50+1 exception and have ridiculously expensive mercenary squads, but they do nothing of value. They play shit football and they are famous for their terrible atmosphere, but they basically cannot get relegated because VW gives them 85 million Euros every year. While VW fires hundreds upon hundreds of employees for financial reasons btw. So many people are ecstatic at the thought of them finally going down this year
