Today was just a cursed day for sports car racing.
We started with a totaled Ferrari in Spain, a terrible fatality in Germany and a below average IMSA race. I guess WEC qualifying went well enough... I mean, no one died.
At least Indy qualifying was decent and we had joomin trugs.
If we couldn't look for tomorrow to be better, there wouldn't be any point in waking up.

It reallly is great. I've been thrice and I'ev always enjoyed myself indulging in all the automotive stuff there and visiting the big 3 galleries: Honda Aoyama, Nissan Yokohoma, Toyota Megaweb (before they shuttered)
Never attended a race on Japanese soil yet so that's the plan this year. The original plan was Sepang in June and Fuji WEC in September but now I might just do Japan twice and maybe even Macau at the end of the year

You know, I'm happy that my guy Lotterer's back in WEC with Genesis, but with Porsche gone, I don't know how to feel
I can't seem to care about WEC just as much as I did in the past couple of years, and it's gonna be really weird not to have Porsche in the top class at Le Mans again
Sure, there's been numerous spells like this in the past but with the Porschefag in me having no one in particular to root for, and it also weighs on me that Alpine and Acura and pulling out after this season as well, even if we're getting Genesis, McLaren and Ford in exchange
For god's sake Honda, it's one thing to sit on the fence but it's another entirely to mull over entering WEC 2 weeks ago and then dropping the bombshell this week of completely pull out of top class prototype racing
Porsche will be back, once they eventually figure out how to give the LMDhs a chance against the LMHs, that or once they unify both classes eventually in the 2030s
