Favorite DSR?
DSR you would have liked to see?
I think Varga Rakshasa's is easily the best, but I also liked Liael's and Veissrugr's DSR a lot.
Way back when it released I was hoping Bastion Accord would get one, but it never did.

Until they make a ruling, this is entirely legal.
Icon Jet doesn't have the G3 lock of the Crest and doesn't even have Sephirogila's VG cannot ride clause they remembered to slap onto that but not this.
>>

Guys do you know how building restrictions work for cards being regarded as another during deckbuilding? In particularly, I wanted to have a deck with both the Trickstar & Suendi and the OG Trickstar. Suendi doesn't have the blank "regarded as" everywhere as the alt art effect triggers, but it is regard as the same name in deck, so I don't know if this affects deck construction or not.

they should have made a rematch episode of Yuyu vs Mirei and make Mirei win this time to show her character development but instead it never happened until the end, the rivalry between the characters from the D series really doesn't exist at all huh

I watched Divinez before Overdress and WD, I think I got more info about Jinki, Taizo and Masanori from Divinez than WD, Michiru is basically super strong Extra boss, a high cliff for the MC to jump off, so his character didn't change much
>>
>>
>>98011079
>Jinki was just Gui's puppet throughout the story before the last 4 episodes, Taizo was literally a jobber like the other pro characters who debuted in WD, his role in Divinez is what made him more likable and popular and we know more about Masanori's past in Divinez than in WD

You need other people to be able to play the game so the more people the better, Vanguard needs someone like Kagami hayato who keeps marketing Duel Masters with his own money and now Duel Masters is outselling Yu-Gi-Oh in jp

>Attract new players by telling them that the Vanguard anime is fun
This is actually the best way to attract new players, for example, many people in my local area started to get interested in Vanguard again after Divinez, and also if people already like the anime they will definitely want to try the game, like Yu-Gi-Oh, the game is now very difficult but many people still want to play because they like the anime, while Rush duel flopped because the anime was bad even though the gameplay was easier, many people started trying Rush duel only after they released many Nostalgia and Waifu decks

but Rush anime was... fun...
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>98030560
The funny thing is i feel like the writers of Yu-Gi-Oh Anime before Rush never wrote the duel scripts with the cards in mind that they would be printed irl, even though the Yu-Gi-Oh anime is the face of Cardgame advertising, there are still a lot of anime only cards that haven't been printed even after decades, especially in 5Ds with riding duel, dark Synchro and Mech lord stuff.
>>
File: YugiGoon.jpg (1.6 MB)
>>98026717
Rush anime's biggest mistake was the narrative of the first episode which basically said "fuck you boomers, this is our game now" which immediately turned off a lot of boomers and then they failed to get new kids players because the monsters were ugly instead of cool like the old Yu-Gi-Oh.

Yeah and by the virtue of BEWD being used as fodder for the new kid to defeat.
I didn't like that either because later on they spammed old monsters anyway so whats the point of desecrating the most popular one.
>>
>>
>>
>>98042062
the max is 16. the reason people asumed 8 was the max was because there was only enough cards for 8 in the G-zone. But since the Chrono Icon cards have been revealed, one can now play a deck with a full 16 card G-zone.
>>
>>
>>
>>98042087
Jet and Harri can theoretically use each others G Units due to nation rulings, but the restrictions that locked the stride decks to their ridelines also locked them to their specific G Units, so Jet and Harri cannot share their strides and get 16 G Units in total.

I wonder what it'll do. The obvious upgrade is so that it doesn't need to soulblast a copy to do 3 drive checks but that feels like too small an upgrade to warrant a new G3. Feels like it'll gain crit or call something from top 7

Im not interested in it at all but PBD alone will change the meta because it makes not going first practically the same as losing the game where as before it was just a rough spot
>23k power Passive critical Vanguard that -5ks the opponent and retires one of their rears all through one ACT
>Said ACT also has no grade restriction anywhere in its effect because thats such fantastic card design so you can send your G2 opponent to 5k base and watch them eat a damage while Dark attacks for 20k then restands and does a Drive check which as well is not grade restricted
It also passively goes up to 18000 when the opponent rides to Grade 3 or greater as well so Stride decks suffer even if they go first. Doesnt surprise me that I see people cry about wanting the G3 effect heals back.
>>
>>
>>

>>98052993
We went from an admittedly stale going second format to an oppressive going first format.
The format was looking good, then they released Aichi Icon and Yakuza.
>>98053228
If it was an actual movie, but this is three episodes.
The copium lies in how we're getting rereleased OG vanguard in the mean time, so they probably have time to polish those three episodes instead of an entire cour.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>98055249
Bavs was way worse because they could realistically nuke upwards of five rearguards, get huge card advantage while also creating at minimum 40k rearguard swings and a fuckass massive vanguard swing with double critical.
Bavs needs a fair bit of luck nowdays to make something like that again, though, which is saying something because we were just out of the mess that was DZBT07-DZBT12 format with the main three getting sufficient hits.
>>
>>
>>98055331
True. Though if you got 5 rears sniped that means 3 scoops of the hammer so your rears would be kind of small even if Bav herself would be at a hilarious 68k
Icon PBO Seems fine. -5k base is just 5k to the frontrow. Something even a deck as bad as Gab Fantome gets.
>>
>>
>>98055385
>4 attacks, crit 2 Vanguard, three drive checks
Maybe I'm just desensitized but this looks about on-par for a deck Bushi wants to be good out of the box. Doesn't look paticularly degenerate outside of the 18k base.
>>
>>
>>
>>98055399
Remember that Aelquelibra Fantome, a deck that runs nearly 20 shieldless cards, has Trisdia and Weibaris as a privilege. This does the same thing but also gets to run Cerrgaon and doesn't need to run a bunch of potential bricks.
It's definitely not as toxic as Gancelot hitting 36k 2 crit going first that proceeds to go +4 in overall card economy with Icon Alfred.
>>
>>
>>98054258
Ehhhh diminishing returns, the way I see it. You can only repackage the same thing so many times before even the biggest autists get tired and leave. That was supposed to be the lesson they learned with V's failure, so it really makes me roll my eyes seeing it happen again with D with this icon shit.
>>
>>98056342
If bro gets a restander then the deck might be viable.
Fav needs a killy rearguard and not utility G3s that admittedly give the deck some consistent turn 4 pressure. A 20k beater that restands when vanguard swings would be a strong push, preferably without needing CB.
>>
>>98056380
For a pet deck of mine, it does shockingly well. It hits turn 4 and people just kind of scoop to the giant crit 2 restander. Though it helps I often high roll super hard.
It desperately needs a restander or something like Zelriteous though. I get that the Vanguard is passing 10k for free and you have Squalid freaks but we need rearguards that actually kill. Ideally while also digging for Squalid freaks if you call it on turn 3.

Heartblaze for the non clan Persona ride decks when. Being able to activate Persona ride from drop just feels so goddamn right. Specially since some decks only have 3 opportunities to do it and it eats up your order play.
>>
>>
>>98068056
>his original decks are both Stoicheia clans
>D-Legion is a thing
>Icons would allow for in archetype synergy despite conflicting clans
>specific vanguards could give a boost to their archetypal cards
>this would allow at least three variants of the same deck with just the in archetype cards
>actual ride deck variance that changes how each card would be used in the early game
this guy WOULD have a more interesting Icon deck than what we've gotten so far and would have more interesting deck building decisions.

>standard turn 2 CB1 draw commit that boosts power turn 3 onwards
>ride line that's not ass
>straight up a helgvarr clone
Overall this is some decent support. Could've done more but this is pretty excellent on paper.
Here's hoping Favrneel gets similar treatment because Eligos is missing 10k power and some kind of shield value and the deck is relying heavily on generics to meet the 13 grades to not fuck up the turn 3 and reliably go for the turn 4 pressure.

Hellfire Dragon Emperor, Wirbel König
Dragon Empire - <Flame Dragon>
"Pierce through the vortex, inferno of annihilation! Burning Perdition."
[CONT]:During this fight, this card is treated as "Hellfire Dragon, Wirbel Dragon", and can only be ridden from a grade 3 with "Wirbel" in its card name.
[CONT][VC]:Increase the upper limit of energy you can have from the [CONT] of the "Energy Generator" in your crest zone by 5. {Max Energy +5}
[AUTO]:When this unit is placed on (VC), Energy Charge (3). Choose a card whose original card name is "Hellfire Dragon, Wirbel Dragon" from your soul or drop, and this unit gets all of that card's original abilities until end of fight.
[ACT][VC][1/Turn]:COST [Energy Blast (10)], retire ALL of your opponent's rear-guards, and perform 1 of the following based on the number of cards in your opponent's damage zone.
- 4 or less - Choose 1 of your opponent's vanguards, and deal it 1 damage.
- 5 or more - This unit gets [Power]+10000 until end of turn.
>>
>>98083101
Jesus did Wirbel hit the gym, took him a year but he finally learned from Bavsargra and Rakshasa the powerful art of killing every rearguard the opponent has. The damage ping can even be interpreted as trying to retire their vanguard in the process so there's the flavor of doubling what the OG Vortex could do by retiring 6 units.
Really sells the idea of a mega blast of 10 energy.

That's the problem a lot of decks are supposed to have, but then they started making Bavsargra, Heartluru, Vyrgilla, Deeplands, Yakuza, all of which have negative disadvantage due to being able to turn fumes into full boards and use minimum resources to go full killboard.
Aichi Icon trades negative disadvantage for having one of the most oppressive turn 3s in the game and the dog.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>98097589
Both of the dog's requirements, orders and more rearguards, are a joke in Keter specifically, while Shenryi and Philya at least offer an interesting choice for the opponent to also early commit to turn off the power+draw effect if the opponent is unlikely to run orders. Baldereid is more of a midgame card that's not as strong of a rush tool.
Limiting makes the most sense, but more likely they'll choice restrict Lien and Gancelot first, or hopefully apply both restrictions. Could also see a Cerrgaon retrain so Youthquake can still show it off.

This is either going to be broken as hell or broken after the big three get hit and nobody else is equipped to deal with more grind games.
Best case is he steals Vanish Delete and shuts down revival decks.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>98110237
Itll bully some pet decks but honestly Lock is not that bad its just annoying and its legacy gets overblown because during the time it was romping around there were a lot of decks where Vanguards did not have their own pressure or contingencies. Deeplands retires its own stuff+trigger carry,Nirvana has a Dress piece that makes stuff unable to be chosen+triple drive, Rezael has like 2 ways to Mirage+Returns critz,Aichi Icon has Gancelot to clear its front circle+passive critical and it goes on like that because shits less about making a new Overlord or Blaster deck.
V Chaos Breaker didnt do much and decks were way less careful.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>98113561
Main issue is losing a column and 1-2 attacks minimum, Aichi Icon and Deeplands post-banlist don't have an out to this unless Deeplands doesn't use Rotting Usurp. Heartluru might straight up autolose to CBD if it can lock the horse+either of the G2s, dictating the threat on the followup while killing 15k shield. Overall is going to heavily depend on if CBD follows the current trend and gets Zirconium level wave 1 support.
Yakuza still doesn't give a shit since it has a restander+backrow attacker+vanguard restand on top of the ability to play a grind game, meaning CBD will either mandate Yakuza's hits even more or be busted as hell just to deal with Kiryu.

I have been experimenting a little with riding Alter Slaughter on top of Chronojet to end the game. Basically, you use the classic upstream to get the Quen Lu, Brainwash Swirler or Inhale Pit from the deck, whichever piece you are missing. It's actually really easy to get the 6 grade 0s in soul and I have had some success. Worst case scenario, I just continue running Chornojet instead of riding Alter Slaughter. It's not like a super good strategy or something like that, but it works.

Blue Storm Karma Dragon, Maelstrom "Яeverse"
[CONT] [VC]:During your turn, all of your units get [Power]+5000 for each of your locked cards.
[ACT] [VC] [1/Turn]:COST [Soul Blast (1)], choose 1 of your rear-guards with only «Aqua Force» for its clan or that is a <Tear Dragon>, and it gets "[AUTO][RC]:At the end of the battle this unit attacked, if it is the 1st battle of that turn, COST [either Counter Blast (1) or Soul Blast (1)-card with "Maelstrom" in its card name], choose 1 of your rear-guards, and exchange its position with this unit." until end of turn.
[AUTO] [VC]:At the end of the battle your rear-guard attacked, you may lock that unit that attacked.
[AUTO] [VC]:When this unit attacks, if it is the 4th or more battle of that turn, draw a card, choose 1 of your opponent's rear-guards, and retire it. Then, if either your damage zone has 4 or more cards or you persona rode this turn, this unit gets [Critical]+1 until end of battle.
>>
>>98120371
Maelstrom really was one of the better Reverse retrain choices, it has ways to play around lock, they made it so any lock gives power, the lock skill is less a cost and more a flexible power boost option and it would do fairly into Chaos Breaker due to the nation and the archetype's own recursion.

Nox stealing Valkerion for the foreseeable future would be an interesting direction for game design, though it feels more like the Icon cards had entirely separate sections in r&d with Gancelot/belli and Gojo/lien

This doesn't take away from Yakuza having way too much defensive utility or Aichi Icon having too much versatility, or how nearly every other deck they release has enough recursion to make non-bind removal useless.
There is a difference between a weak deck and a not-overpowered deck. Yakuza existing does not make Viamance Bruce shit, it means they fucked up by introducing a V Series deck into Standard.

>Unrivaled Bruce (extremely slow, hard stuck waiting for turn 4 to make archetypal plays and can't fully use some of the newer support cards that ask for Final Burst)
>Griphogila (impossibly stuck, cucked out of the Energy Generator until turn 3, waits until turn 5 to gain five attacks outside of Dragon Empire, Dragontree engine is horrendously outdated)
>nearly all of the promo bosses, like Time Stamping (didn't get enough out of Crowind's support, deck is still playing highlander and a lot of grade 3s), Megolanozuchi (outdated backrow attack deck, cucked by Shojodoji), Spinomarquis (cucked by Gargrex)
Special mention to Mahar Nirvana, who like Unrivaled Bruce, has been cucked out of support for most of D due to Jheva but lately has Suendi to at least be functional, so the deck is not nearly as far behind as the rest.
There are EXTREMELY undersupported decks
>>
>>98136573
Promo bosses arent ridelines they are just bosses. Its fair to add them but no one cares about the older ridelines to begin with that have gotten made anew like Nirvana or Unrivaled Bruce so I doubt youll ever have much sympathy on those.

Crowind and Shojodoji's ridelines work perfectly with their respective promo bosses, Spinomarquis however got replaced by Gargrex.

>Giranfa (being the only RRR D boss to get demoted to an RR slot should speak for itself)
>Zedlhans (the only bad Dragonic Overlord clone in DE)

Non-Nadir is definitely a meme after Carrion crush and Harvest Elf gave Nadir 4 attacks and a strong draw engine. Masques was, however, often ran until set 11 due to having Keel Severing, and Shadowcloak being as busted as it is made Zorga the most consistent Masques deck for most of Standard.
Greedon is mid, but not entirely shit. Gravidia getting a Yuika+half a Shadowcloak and still being mediocre speaks for itself, but both still have blowout potential by design. Definitely no Leuhan but also not really viable.

After some further thinking it was when this girl beat Misaki to force the most predictable outcome of aichi fighting koutei.
That was the first time I thought about this game in years and I had a few other trips down memory lane about it. Thank you for reading my blog.
