== ACE CUSTOM GROUPBUILD ==
Build, customize, and paint a grunt mobile suit up for use by an ace pilot.
>You are taking the role of the Ace Pilot here - You're making the design choices when it comes to loadout, paint scheme, and suit customizations.
>Think about what your Ace specializes in, is he all in on offensive power, speed and maneuverability, or bulk and defense?
>While your pilot is an ace, he's not so special that he's getting super secret prototypes like Gundams or Mobile Armors. Keep your grunt relatively grounded to whatever setting it's from.
Send your entries to gunplaplamo@gmail.com with at least 5 photos of your finished build along with any WIP photos and a description of your entry.

A very large and fun kit well-representative of Haman-sama

Apart from that it's great though, all the better with a stand.

All right, so, both kits use ball joints for the front and side skirts. For the Nu-FF (which is just the Nu) those are parts H14 and H15, and for the Hi-Nu it's part F16. I can confirm that the width of the balls for the front skirts are 4mm in both cases, so short of something like the the skirts themselves being too big or obstructive and bumping into other adjacent parts like the knees and side skirts, there should be absolutely zero reason why they should not be interchangeable.

Got myself a tiny bench(?) disc sander. Supposedly it's for sharpening tweezer tips and such.
Powered by a standard USB-C phone charger (not included). Obviously not powerful enough to grind steel bolts, but for styrene it's just fine. Rotation speed is adjustable continuously from 0 to max (not sure what max is but it sounds like 2000rpm or so).
Comes with 400/800/1000/3000grit self-adhesive sand paper discs (3 discs of each grit). Seems pretty useful for sharpening/fine adjustments of small parts.

K and L bundles, right? Can you confirm if they contain the HG Messer Minelayer, RG Tallgeese II, HG Leo-R, and RG G3 Gundam 2.0? Based on a couple people getting the same contents in their J bundle and the bundles explicitly containing the kits in the example image, I'm wondering if this also applies to all the other ones.

>RG G3 2.0, HG Naion, and HG Leo-R were in the example illustration, and were in fact in the box
Huh, so it is true, you can predict three of the items in each gacha box.
I guess what you consider "good" really depends on what you want out of these bundles. Personal opinion, Avalanche' Exia, Hi-Nu Bazooka and Funnel Effects, Gray Zeta, Vigna-Zirah, Naion, and Sword Calamity are probably the most valuable ones that you got. HG Turn A Moonlight Butterfly wings are also probably good, there are probably people who would buy that off of you but getting your own HG Turn A isn't that hard either.
As for the rest (again, personal opinion):
HG Altron and the other P-Bandai HG Wing upgrades got converted into retail releases in celebration of Wing's 30th anniversary, so it's really easy to just buy off the shelf these days.
RG G3 2.0 is just a straight recolor of RG 2.0, so I can't imagine many would want it unless they're explicitly fans of the novel.
Sayla's Guncannon is a recolor of the retail Guncannon with a Gundam Hammer thrown in, again probably not that valuable.
Heingra is just a Heindree Sturm with different weapons and a different backpack, otherwise just a retail mold with different colors. Probably not that valuable unless you have two or more and a Beguir-Beu to recreate scenes from the show.
The MG Strike Sword/Launcher package is just the weapons from the 2008 retail kit (which itself uses the 2003 retail kit as a base) molded in slightly better colors and with a waterslide sheet. I'm pretty sure that retail MG kit is still getting reprints so the parts themselves are pretty easy to get for kitbashing purposes. Though if you want to build your own MG Perfect Strike, the 2013 MG Strike Remastered shouldn't be all that hard to obtain either.
Clear PGU Gundam parts, it would probably be easier to find a buyer for that than to spend $250 for your own PGU Gundam, clear body kits are kind of an acquired taste so you either love it or hate it.

They're a new thing Bandai started doing on their P-Bandai site last year. Give them money, and they'll send you a box of random assorted Gunpla (each bundle is standardized, so if you buy a J bundle and someone else in Bumfuck Bosnia also buys the J bundle, you both get the exact same contents). As far as I can tell, the example images do tell you what two or three of the items in the box will be, and based on what everyone's been saying they've gotten the MSRP value of the box contents exceeds what you paid for it, though with the caveat that since this is P-Bandai they still make a profit since they cut retailers out of the process and get all the money themselves.
They seem to only do this during their twice-a-year Gundam Base stock cleanout, so whenever they start putting Clear Colors and Extra Finishes and Core Mechanical Platings and Exclusive Action Bases on the store, that's about when these gacha boxes will show up.

I'm keeping the Leo-R, Guncannon, and Zeta. I already have the moonlight butterfly though they were a chinese KO from like 20 years ago. I have the PGU Grandpa but I haven't even put him together yet. The clear parts would be neat to see the skeleton but eh.

Useful enough that I got myself 3 more (one for each grit) and made a sturdy base for them out of a spare drill press base. Also I found that a laptop charger (or similar) that provides 9V via USB-C makes a difference in performance compared to a 5V charger.

Speaking of altogether too much gear.
Got myself this DSPIAE electric pinvise. I was pretty sceptical initially, but it actually managed to surprise me. It is small enough to pass for a regular pinvise, it rotates slowly enough (but with quite a bit of torque) so you can control it pretty well. My test for it was to drill a hole through the centre of a sprue and as you can see it did fine. A pinvise you can use to drill out a barrel is a good pinvise in my book.
It also has a switch that locks the motor and the black bit at the end rotates, so you can use this as a regular old pinvise (you also use that mode to switch drill bits).
I bought the "bare tool" option which comes with empty drill storage, I had some DSPIAE bits lying around so I put them in, but I'll probably use the Godhand bits with it anyway (they are compatible).

I haven't put together any kits since around the time the HG Witch From Mercury line was coming out and I'm looking to get back into building with something relatively small/cheap.
What are some (if any) notably good HG or lower end RG/MG kits from the past couple years I should take a look at picking up?
>>
>>
>>11750725
The HG WfM line is purportedly pretty good. Aerial and Calibarn are very popular pickups, though depending on where you live it might be difficult to source them.
RG The Gundam 2.0 is also an excellent kit, the first batch had a problem with the head vulcans but that got fixed within the first few months.
The HG Gundam EX from Requiem for Vengeance is a pretty good kit as well with loads of gimmicks and a high level of detail, though it comes down to personal taste whether or not you'll like it.
Seed Freedom has its own new line of HG kits, they're purportedly pretty good though some of them are pretty expensive like Destiny Zeus Silhouette which is basically an entire mobile armor kit. Rising Freedom and Immortal Justice are very easy to grab.
RG Wing Zero TV has gotten excellent reviews, a monster of a kit if a bit expensive (but not as bad as the Epyon).
On the MG front, they're pretty much all expensive, but in terms of bang for your buck you might consider the MG Wing Zero Custom Ver. Ka, it's a top tier kit and comes with an action base you can immediately put it into aerial poses. Sinanju Stein Narrative Ver. Ka is also quite excellent, but again very expensive thanks to all the iterative improvements they've made over the years. Vidar gets a good rep too, though I haven't looked that much into it myself so I can't say from personal experience.

I've been pondering lately the ti... orbs of my Lady Commanders lately, and I've hit an existential snag. I sand these friggin' robot parts, I polish them, I remove seamlines, I spray, I apply panel lines, and... I've become halfway competent at it. But it's just SO FUCKING TIRESOME AND TIME CONSUMING it pains my soul. Just cutting the thing off the runners and assembling it as is seems to be the go-to experience that Bandai is engineering for nowadays, and the end result looks FINE if you just clip the nubs. Am I turning into a snapfag? Should I seek professional (possibly medical) help?

cool kit
I've seen people collect all of these but I dunno, they share the same mold so building them would get old very fast
this 1D has the advantage of being the most distinctive one due to the trainer colors

What new stuff do you want to see for 00's 20th anniversary? Next year is that anniversary, so of course expect more new stuff. Mine is obviously the remaining Season 2 Gundams as Master Grades (Cherudim, Arios, Seravee, Reborns, and the GN Archer with stock parts that can create the GN Heavy Weapons, and parts reuse to make the P-Bandai Artemie). And two different versions of the Artemie, one as an HG using the old GN Archer parts (there are still these cut-out marks from the old plates), and another as an MG with the same LED light-up gimmick for the GN Drive.

I started painting it but I've run out of clear red so that sucks.

Has anyone gotten or seen first hand these Moto Nuclear blind box kits? They suddenly are everywhere on my socials. They look kinda neat, but 25USD for the chance of getting 4 of the same kit is kinda suspect to me. It's why I never got into the Monster Hunter figures, its always blind box shit. There is an AliExpress that claims it has "all" 6 for 120USD but then you don't get the "secret" 7th kit.

I think this part on my rg God Gundam is warped? Guess I left the runner out in a bad spot over a couple days… I can for sure see it on one of the rear skirt pieces but this forearm guard just won’t sit flush no matter what. Just two parts. Any ideas on how to fix it or am I shit out of luck?
