The problem is that the optimus BADLY needs to be redone. The one they made throws everything that makes armada prime cool out the window. The torso mode is fine, but the heads, smaller robot and base are not good in the slightest.

The biggest miss is that the main robot mode is too slim and lacks the high shoulders it should have and the super mode legs don't have the sort of trench coat tail back skirt, and the shin guns are woefully pathetic, something hasbro also made pathetic. Both heads ,but especially the super mode head, are far too stylized and don't capture the personality of armada prime as well.

Cool but I kinda have contempt for how overexposed Waspinator is compared to other BW characters, especially toy only guys but that's the nature of such a media driven franchise.
I'm also just not the most enthused when it comes to BW Season 1 designs, I actually do like organic beasts but for the show characters, outside a few like Primal, I prefer Season 2. Apparently Robot Toys is working on some S2 designs? That said Airazor is still needed. I'll buy a Tarantulas begrudgingly but I never liked his S1 show design, I'm maybe be more enthused about a toy colors version but BW rarely get that.

StarToys one is the best looking one imo. A bit puffy in the chest, but clean kibble, good alt modes with just enough G1 accuracy, a transformation that's straightforward and works well and leads to very clean look in all modes with minimal panel lines.
FT has nice shiny purple but that's about it. The "pearl beige" just looks weird, and the alt modes are awkward, the transformations are just a pain for no reason and break up the sculpt like hell. FT also reaaaally wanted to do the tank dick meme and just like legacy blitzy, it looks bad.

Got this motherfucker today and I'm disappointed. It's a few steps down from APC/GF's usual quality. Pics make him seem glossy and I expected their usual quality, but it's soft thin plastic with some sort of matte finish and no paint. And it's very light and feels flimsy. Not worth the money.

All the original MPM cars scaled with each other perfectly and were the same size as Human Alliance, 1/30 or 1/32 I believe. The trucks, planes and copters were way too small and didn't scale with anything in either mode. This is why nearly every large MPM character got an oversize KO, using MPM Bumblebee as the reference. There's an OSKO Bumblebee and Barricade but those are meant to be non scale display pieces. Some DotM scale charts list Dino as 18ft and others at 15ft. UT likely based their original on the former, even though it doesn't make much sense considering Dino's car is very similar to Bumblebee. These Dino USKOs are all trying to fit him into that 15ft scale. UT Dino next to Hasbro MPM 4 must look completely ridiculous.

The problem is that 3P Bayformer cars tend to have different (and often better) transformation philosophies than the official MPMs, resulting in more size-shifting between modes. So either the robot is way too big, or the car is way too small.

Personally I just prefer to collect smaller figures, and I’m not too bothered about scaling.
