The expensive one was poorly engineered, it's extremely fiddly with the head and tail tip constantly falling off because they don't fit into their sockets well
Which apparently was fixed in the reissue but can't confirm because I don't have that one

But also the wings are really bad, they attach with a swivel with a slight bit of rocking motion, so you can move them up and down but can't actually flap them so they're always on the same horizontal plane

Sometimes they don't use any reference material and just sculpt it from memory from the last time they watched the cartoon, which was why the hump on the roof of the Turtle Van prototype was so oversized.
