that's why I have three cars (two of which are broken) worth 1,5k sitting in my basement, untouched for like 10 years

I'm tempted to buy this truck as a prop for my 1/12 figures. Also crawlers seem fun.

I know a dude that has this hobby. Haven't met face to face since he picked it up. Genuine question - what do you do with your cars? Race? Larp?

I used to have a couple friends that were big on RC cars. That stopped.

In my opinion, RC cars are one of those hobbies that require a local community/club to be enjoyable. It's only fun when you can show off your customs and drive them around, and the only place where you can do that are cons and other club parties.

The racing aspect is the worst part of the hobby. Second worst is parts. You are spending quite a bit compared to a RTR 60 dollar kids toy, and it can’t run on the lawn.
