If there really was an official sally acorn figure being made after all these years Gen-X furfags would have a generational meltdown of euphoria

yes this is obviously another TitotheOG custom. He did the same with his Terios custom and put in in package at a target store pretending it was real. Another time he also faked a Jakks shipping box to say he got a shipment from them when showing off customs

I fucking hate Jakks Pacific’s distribution, for real.
Every time a wave released it’s like
>hey Tikal is out, better make sure you’re at Target the day they restock or else you’re never going to get her. Don’t worry though, there will be 200 Sonics left over from the previous 25 waves where they packed him in 3:1 to the other characters. Also there’s a 3 pack of just Sonic available if you missed him!
And this is at every store. A dozen Sonics and nobody else. Oh wait never mind, because there’s a 50 figure display of the stupid fucking DC Comics crossover shit where it’s always easy to find every character. I spoke too soon.
Oh you want a good chance at getting new stuff? Go to GameStop…Except 500 of them closed this past year, so now there’s only one left in your entire city. We also put an exclusive plush of Tails Doll that literally everybody wants there. Just felt like the right place, the dying retail chain that nobody goes to anymore.
Then there’s the Sega line, where the geniuses at Jakks decided on a 3:1 ratio of AiAi in the first wave, just killing the entire thing before it even gets started. Except in Canada, where you can get the IDW characters we for some reason decided to shoehorn into this line instead of the Sonic one. If you live anywhere else but Canada, fuck you. You Americans can wait until they randomly appear in 5 different discount chain stores by complete chance, and we’ll only give one figure to the entire store. And you Europeans get dick. Perhaps the Sega line would’ve done well had the brainlets at Jakks not loaded up on Monkey Balls…or given any Sega characters people actually give a fuck about.
Cannot wait for 20 years from now when “collectors” selling old stock on eBay suddenly decide that Sonic is a “rare” figure, as if he wasn’t littering every toy shelf in the world that nobody fucking wanted because everybody alive who could’ve wanted one already got one in wave 1. Fuck this company.

I don't even get the point of these dumb jokes. The line struggles to get anything new out, and then everything sits for ages...just, why do this?

We will never get a NiGHTS figure and it pisses me off.

When the Sega line was first shown off, I naively thought that AiAi would be the only one people actually wanted. Instead, both it and Axel shelfwarm so hard that no store ever bothers to order the second wave, nevermind the third. The worst part is, knowing how things are with Jakks, I should have expected all that and for the line to go to shit well before my pie and the sky hopes of getting NiGHTS, Jet Set Radio, or Crazy Taxi could even come up.
The IDW figures piss me off, not because I don't care about those characters (well, I don't, but I know others do) but because they make the lack of those characters I'd hoped for stick out even more. In a market predicated on boomerish nostalgiabait, I can understand giving preferential treatment to Genesis-era franchises, but to go from those straight to limited appeal OC comic characters (with obligatory Sonic repaint) seems insane. In a better world where Jakks can distribute anything, the comic figures could be a line in themselves. A small one, sure, and probably one that would still be scalped, but even that would be better than having it be a parasitic add-on to a line that no one ever sees outside of a single monkey.
I won't even talk about the misery of haunting for figures in the main line. Everyone knows how bad it is. For a while, I was "lucky" enough to have a Target on my way home from work, so it would only take five minutes out of my day to check for new figures. I would check probably three times a week, and even then there were plenty that I would just never see. The fact that anybody would have to do such a thing in the first place in order to find the "right" fucking toys is absurd. Well, maybe the absurdity is that autistic retards like me subject themselves to it. Now I've resigned myself to never finding Neo Metal, Tikal, or probably any of the new figures. Of course, somehow stores being flooded with Sonics and never buying another wave seems to be fine for Jakks.

If I were in charge of the Sonic license at Jakks Pacific, and granted, my ideas would probably sink the company, this is how I'd handle it.
1. Have the comic characters folded into the regular Sonic line. We can surely slip in Tangle and Whisper and so forth amidst all the re-releases of Sonic.
2. Keep the SEGA line about SEGA. Ideally, do a bit of balance between Megadrive nostalgia, Saturn nostalgia, and Dreamcast and onward nostalgia, but adjust according to fan and retailer demand.
3. And probably most controversially... make a line of premium figures based on the movies and shows. We don't need figures of Maddie's fat sister, but there are a lot of fun, toyetic designs that are just left on the table. Like, why did we get labcoat grampa Gerald and not his Scorpion armor?

it's like their Simpsons line, a gold mine they turned into a fucked up mess, just knowing that willingly omit the cool new character from the cases at retail and put another sonic in it's place(at Walmart at least), tricking the average schmuck into thinking they missed out on the hot new figure when they're deliberately playing mind games, just turns me off altogether, and they could do a good job if they wanted to

Are Jazwares and Jakks like sibling brands? They both have shared licences, most of their figures look like a disjointed mess that can barely strike a pose and on the top of that both cannot get a hold of themselves with distribution

I've not see Grandpa and Troy waves in store, so likely going straight to ROSS or Burlingtons.
Found the Sonic box set with Fang and hover bike at Ollie's for $15. Walmart Market cleared out the register boxed figs and I grabbed some animal friends. The was a penguin, blue bird, a seal, and chao. What were the other 2.5" animals they've released?
