When is larfleeze supposed to come out and does anyone have pics of his barcode/UPC code yet? So far he is the last mcfarlane figure i intend to buy.
>>
I guess InArt is eventually going to release a Clark Kent to, right now they just have an awful shadowed image on their site.

Presumably, FondJoy or Gong will follow.
Or Beast Kingdom.
>>
>>11749187
The fact that he got all that new sculpting when no other comic figures recently did makes me wonder if someone at McFarlane is showing some Larfleeze favoritism

Is he all new sculpting? Damn, i thought he was mostly a retool of another figure. Also im mad they didnt include a static figure if glomulus in with larfleeze instead of those two shitty effect pieces but oh well.
>>
>>11749242
There could be a few reused pieces maybe but most looks new to me

>>11749195
Imagine releasing a Superman and a Clark Kent but not releasing a Lex or a Zodd
>>
I'm surprised anyone is able to post here today.
>>
>>11749258
It seems to be intermittent as to whether or not you get the April Fools captcha. I haven't gotten it once this morning.
>>
>>11749186
Why does a battle damaged Batman figure outsell even Joker or other major figures within the same universe? Are there that many people who just buy all Batman?
>>
LMFAO
>>
>>11749263
And it sold out in minutes. Despite the weird faces and high price. Honestly, I don't think this is a very healthy hobby. I don't even know where people keep all the NotToys they buy. Do they just sell them on ebay a few months down the line?
>>
>>11749243
It's a '78 movie CK.
While I think Reeve looked really in his suit and the raincoat, and I appreciate that the collectors with nostalgia goggles for that movie are also the ones with $200 to burn on your basic soft-goods clothed figure that is just going to stand on your desk or shelf like a lump and not actually get posed, it will be the same stolid straight face head sculpt we've seen since the original NECA release.
I do think Stamp deserves a figure (and for that matter, the other two, who all they have ever gotten are those MEH DC Direct most gray and silver figures from Frank's art. Those bear no relationship to their look in the second movie, and most people wonder who the fuck they are supposed to be when they see those toys.
A good, non-cheesy or corny looking Hackman would probably be appreciated but I'm not sure what look that will be, except for maybe the ending scenes.
But I'll still content myself with the CT this summer and their eventual KO of the Mafex CK.

Gotta have my batman!
>>
>>11749265
>And it sold out in minutes
Before Todd makes less than 15k units per figure now
>>
>>11749279
There shouldn't be 15k people buying that figure for how bad that headsculpt is
>>
>>11749260
You can just ignore it, I have.
>>
>>11749265
My God you guys are such fucking babies.
>>
>>11749283
>I don't like it so no one else should either
I mean, I agree with you that it looks like shit, but come on man. Be a little less autistic.
>>
>>11749283
Their aren’t when you factor in it’s mainly scalpers just like Pokemon cards now
>>
>>11749301
If you think people are out there scalping toys, let alone fucking McFarlane DC Multiverse figures, at the same level as pokemon cards, you might be retarded. It's not even close, I feel so bad for my buddy who has two elementary school age boys that are into the cards and they have to compete with grown fucking men buying up entire stores worth. It's sad.
>>
I went to three Target's and two Ross stores, mainly to check what I came across, and to pick up a NECA haultahon figure if I could find it. Both the two Target's I hit had well stocked collector's corner areas so they did have McFarts, but mostly Fall Out's, the staction resin figurines, Retro BTAS or Superfriends.

They didn't have any of the new grease delivery system figures from the Todd, except for the uncanny Chris Reeve. I ended up spending some $180, which except for the NECA, was almost all on GI Joe Classifieds.
>>
>>11749301
You're implying scalpers are taking a loss, buying things no real person would buy from them. That isn't the case. If it was they would've stopped buying DCMV figures.
>>
But that included 3 of these figures from Ross.
>>
>>11749323
Why would you need 3 Cobra commanders?
>>
>>11749265
My thought process into buying toys now is to never fall for FOMO and if it's the companies fault then tough shit they dont get my money.
>>
>>11749263
Why is Todd so fucking bad at getting likenesses right? There are third party people who do head sculpts as a hobby or side business that can nail them down no problem. It's just embarrassing
>>
>>11749187
man that actually looks pretty good. I don’t even care about that character but if I see him I’ll probably buy
>>
>>11749399
It looks dead on to the cavegirl with down syndrome.
>>
>>11749399
Most major toy companies (Hasbro, Mattel, import companies) tend to use digital capture to get likenesses now. Todd has sculptors manually eyeball it. You can tell with the way the heads are. They just don't have the same look and feel of Hasbro movie offerings for example, and in cases the face shape even is totally wrong, which a digital capture would not botch. NECA may still do it the old way too but they have better sculptors than McFarlane Toys
>>
>>11749399
he and a chineseum plamo maker are the only ones to get corenswet right tho
>>
It's the way they do the eyes. The sculpts are usually fine, it's the lazy happy meal paint apps that make it look jarring.
>>
Yes it's the eyes. They're using the same eye design for everyone >>11749263 and just changing the color.

We bitch about parts reuse but eyeball reuse is a new low, Detective Comics Comics General.
>>
>>11749333
Or two teeny weeny lil snake eyes?
What's going on here?
Why am I expected to know these captcha characters?
>>
>>11749434
Those are tampography. Tampos look good and clean at 6in but look garish at 7in with the larger size exposing them as just glorified stickers. One more reason Todd fucked up. All he had to do was make the line 6in and he would still be printing money and Mattel would be sobbing the bathroom.
>>
>>11749242
>>11749243
larfleeze is almost entirely batman of earth -32
>>
>>11749472
Looks like legs and arms. They were smart in this reuse as everyone forgot that figure existed.
>>
>>11749312
Can you not read
>>
I bet if you called the factory Todd uses for dc you could get a full list of figures they’re making by just saying you work for mcfarlane
>>
Todd is finally giving us female figures for Super Powers
>>
>>11749529
Why the actual fuck hasnt the joker come out in this line by now yet? Also im still fucking pissed i could never get super powers reverse flash
>>
>>11749529
obviously phantom lady
>>
>>11749542
Joker's mold can't be reused as easily in Super Powers

>>11749529
They will sell out so fast
>>
>>11749563
>Joker's mold can't be reused as easily in Super Powers
God i hate that it is probably why super powers joker hasnt been made yet
Fuck you todd you cheap fuck
>>
>>11749429
Thing is with the digital scanning, it's not the actual toy companies that do it. The studio does it for the purpose of VFX and then sometimes shares that data with licensors. And most of the digital sculptors for toys are all freelancers these days. There aren't a ton of full time, in house people like there was twenty+ years ago. So really Todd should be able to get the same assets and talent everyone else has. And again like I said, there are people that don't even do this professionally that get the likenesses right. It's like McFarlane is intentionally hiring people well below professional level for these big licenses.
>>
>>11749529
We got a wonder woman, isn't that enough?
>>
>>11749529
I would say he's doing Supergirl but the cape is all wrong, ditto for Mary Marvel or PeeGee. All of whom are overdue, and he should also do Freddie.

So my vote is one of them is Batwoman. I won't buy it but I will be pleasantly surprised and very supportive. It might be Batgirl with a too long cape and the wrong hair, who knows.

It might be Barda with Todd misunderstanding her headpiece? It could be a lone Raven with Todd not understanding that he can't release the Teen Titans without releasing them all? But when has stupidity stopped Todd?

>>11749602
Sister, WW is definitely more than enough.
But there's nothing wrong with more females, amirite Toddster Cultists?
>>

>>
>>11749662
That looks fucking great. Wish they'd do the villains.
>>
>>11749333
No one NEEDS any toys, anon.
Those were to flip. Joe fans have money to waste, even more money to waste than idiots who sold out Drunk Supergirl.

>>11749445
>two teeny weeny lil snake eyes
Part of a fodder lot of heads (since the Todd gives us such shitty head sculpts), guns, swords, energy effects and other crap I bought off eBay.
When I asked at the Gi Joe gen, someone said those mini-comics were still available and thus had no real re-sale value.
(They are - I found them on the Bald's Billionaire's playhouse) but they suggested I list them as a bonus on top of a Joe.
>>
>>11749445
>>11749679
>Not that you actually care
>But you did ask
>And because it will trigger the autist who hate toys being posted, and just want to talk patios, poor 'muricans who can't make toys, or phantom laddie

I already had 1 Cobra Commander, also from Ross, and bought these two by mistake, when I only needed 1.
I though I had 3 of those Joe mini-comics and mini-toys
But it's actually 3 Transformers.
Now I need to pester the Transformer Gen for ideas on how to dump 'em

SpinMaster is losing the license first, it looks like. But yes, I think they will come out. I thought they had been released in Asia and other markets already, and was looking reglarly on Target and then lost interest and forgot about them.
>>
>>11749803
>then lost interest and forgot about them.
This is the danger of the hype around collectibles. Eventually it fades and no one cares anymore. This is why Todd holds stuff back until a month or two before it releases

>>

You guys need a new argument. This one is so old, tired, and played out that it just doesn't carry any weight anymore.
>>
Just report the trolling faggot
>>
>>11750162
>Anyone who disagrees with me is a troll
Goddamn you guys are worse than literal children.
>>
>>11750154
I personally think it's fair to expect something of higher quality for $25-$30. Especially when you see what companies like Storm Collectibles and Jada are releasing for that price range. I also agree with you in a way that it's stupid to throw a tantrum, but that's only because I have accepted that McFarlane is nowhere near the quality it should be and it's not going to change for the better any time in the near future.
>>
>>11750177
You guys need to realize, nothing is worth the price they ask for nowadays. Literally nothing. Food is overpriced, you'll never own a home, and they're currently pricing you out of things like toys and video games. This isn't exclusive to McFarlane, nor is it even exclusive to toys. I'm convinced that the powers that be have decided to try and push the American population into poverty.
>>
>>11750055
Hit em with a Shwah

Or what ever that sound is when he shoots a beam
>>
>>11750180
It gets really apparent who still lives at home and doesn't have to pay for bills on this board.
>>
>>11750180
My main issue is with the outdated engineering and articulation. I'm not here expecting Hot Toys level of paint or sculptwork. Again, we've seen companies like Storm or Jada deliver for the exact price range.
>>
>>11750192
This is why you don't buy McFarlanes and you stick to imports.
>>
>>11750132
The cape is not wired, you stupid faggot fuck.
>>
>>11750192
McFarlane will not improve. There's no incentive for them to do so. Best to ignore their offerings and buy what does meet your standards like jada
>>
>>11750208
Where does it say it's wired? It doesn't. And before you cry about the promo image, toy companies do shit like that with non wired capes all the time. Stop something out.
>>
>>11750281
Examples?
>>
>>11750150
>>11750152
>>11750153
I can't ever keep track of Blokees sizes, but I assume these are something around 6" scale?
>>
>>11750287
I think that's what people are saying about the champion size. I'd expect slightly under 6 inches but I've never built one this size yet
>>
>>11750281
No company, not mcfarlane or others, should be legally allowed to deceive their customers. The image in that anons post shows something only possible with a wired cape the figure doesnt have. Showing a figure in a pose it can't do in promo images is deception.
>>
>>11750281

>>
>>11750307
retards like you are why they have to put disclaimers like "toy does not fly" in advertisements
>>

>>
>>11749984
Yeah. Only the live-action stuff is 1/12. Comics and games are 1/10. They still sell it as fucking 1/12 though. Damn chinks.
>>
>>11750312
yeah cause that’s definitely what I was talking about, right? cocksucker.
>>
>>11750338
The fact you misunderstood what he meant only furthers his point. I legitimately can't believe some of you are actually this stupid.
>>
>>11750342
I understand what he (You) meant. They’re obviously implying a wired cape. That’s not a fan under the figure or something. Fuck off.
>>
Anyway, like I always say, every day I'm thankful I found Action Comics 1000 Supes for $20 at walmart. The holo shadowless first edition Charizard of DCMV. None of this doll cape nonsense. A perfect figure.
>>

It's Tim's One Year Later costume he got after Infinite Crisis. What's interesting is they took Tim's original red and green costume that has its own unique sculpt, and did a lazy repaint of it in these colors which never looked right. This is more accurate to the comic costume although the head looks closer to how it was drawn in flashback sequences of the Teen Titans New 52 comics which featured a version of this costume.

I get this is one of those retro cloth figures but the head being such a modern sculpt looks weird on the retro body.

I sold some minis earlier this week at the game shop, so really the figure only cost me about two dollars in resin. And it's likely fallen off a truck or something on the way to the boat so Todd won't be getting a penny for it.
Jack Knight is an antiques and collectibles dealer so I think he'd approve of me basically getting a figure of him for free while supporting the humble Chinese factory worker.

Warner Bros/CNN/DC are all spook houses. They don't even hide the fact they employ former CIA spooks like Tom King and Anderson Cooper.
The feds are currently investigating the pirate networks raiding supply lines from China and drug smuggling rings through Pakistan and Afghanistan. Todd's shipment of "missing" Killing Joke Jokers and Page Punchers Supergirls has never been found, and never will be, because Todd is a pawn in a larger game and his products were used as bait by the alphabet agencies to trace where everything is going.
Todd might not be directly on WB's payroll but he's definitely the illuminati's bitch and working for the same powers that run everything.

I don't really want to see another Supergirl, especially once we get the flood of SpinMaster they will tie-in, but they will presumably do her and possibly Lobo.
I'm more curious about their Hush Superman and I bet the Ivy will sell.
Since Mattel is not going to go backwards and release stuff for old cartoons that aren't Batwank from Timm, it would be great to see galaxy class animated figures like the Spidey and friends they still have as import only, probably due to Hasbro, but some Justice League Action, Batman Brave and the Bold, My Adventures With Superman would be great.
A comic book galaxy class set in the Smallville Season 11 universe would be fun.
Blokees doesn't seem to have the RWBY license yet, but they should do that collaboration and release the smaller Miku type figures from both movies of the JL and RWBY characters.
In short, there's tons of shit they could do that the Todd never did (although I see he had an RWBY license for a second ages ago) and Matty won't bother with.

I closed if before he got started, just felt like a free plug for Todd. You don't have to be hyper critical but you should be fair if you are suggesting you are giving a review and not advertising because you got a free toy.
But Todd has never sent me a toy so idk maybe I'd he gushing over a figure with a new head and some paint too if I got a free one.
>>

not surprised with the review, the DC trio were hyping up the those awful beast kingdom alex ross figs.
>>
>>11753507
So far in the past few days Miss Martian, Martian Manhunter and Bloodwynd have been found in stores and there's been basically no discussion about it here
Not to mention online listings of 80s Wonder Woman have popped up at UK retailers

I miss when this gen used to be the first place to go to find DC multiverse leaks now it's dead fucking last and in some cases shit doesn't even get talked about anymore. It's just a personal blog for a few schizos and for poorfags too seethe about shit they could never afford or would never buy anyway.

What a sad end to this gen.
>>
>>11753694
Sorry, Todd, I'm not "hunting" stores for your figures. They aren't worth the time or money. I know your sales are so infinitesimal now that you got put in electronics with the other 'slow moving' collectibles, but you can't convince people to buy figures for almost double what they're actually worth. You'll get like 3k to 4k suckers, but that's it. That's why those "red platinum" MK figures are still sitting at Gamestop. I liked your line when it was sitting at $20, and $23 was ok, but $30-$35 is ridiculous for the quality.
>>
>>11753702
This is the schizophrenia that has ruined this gen, like genuinely who are you even talking to?
>>
>>11753708
It's called satire. It makes the person being replied to feel they are alone in marketing for the toy line by calling them someone who has a financial stake in the line.
>>
>>11753694
Even when the cartoon WAS popular, the toys people did want then were KF, Supey, and, of course, Robin. It's why those toys all got alternate versions AND also were the only ones, besides I think Red Arrow and Aqualad, who got the oversized (e.gm standing DCU size) action figures.

Don't pretend you actually are about a minimally known variant of a D-List character, or the D-Lister himself, or some random 1990s edgelord deep cut most people won't remember.
>>
>>11753694
This gen has always been shit. But it truly went to shit when that one guy kept sperging about his Hush Batman being delayed on like a daily basis.
>>
>>11753724
I liked the guy who couldn't find knightfall Batman while anons posted links and images showing him where to buy the damn figure.
>>11753708
Where's the anon who randomly accuses no one of talking to themselves. That guy is cool. It's never a reply just a post
>Quit talking to yourself.
Or the anon who accuses people of being valley forge, shit is classic bro.
>>
>>11753724
It's McFarlane Toys' fault or the retailer he ordered it from that happened
>>

>>11753189
>time is going to be very kind to this line
>>
>>11753774
Ok, doesn't mean I have to hear about it every fucking day for three months straight. Like holy shit. People were even telling him where to buy it in stock, for MSRP, but he still chose to instead shit up the thread, and he still does it.
>>
I'm not Valley Forge but I am about half the posts in this thread. Yes I reply to myself.
>>
>>11753776
There are plenty of good figures to counter the bad. The thing that will propel the line over what comes after is value for the price for the first half of the line. And wired capes for the later part which won't be seen again on domestics for under $50+ in the future, as we can already see from the MOTU line and how Hasbro is handling wired capes with Thor.
>>
>>11753578
That Batman head already mogs every McFarlane, outside of maybe three.

>Ocean Master for $15
Good value, for a change.
I got the JL Task Force Superman for $12.
He's got that wired cape I can reuse, and I can sell off the head.
I hate the mullet but some Jurgen's loving idiot will eventually buy it from me off ebay for at least $6-$8, if not more.
I will need to waste time cleaning off McFarlane's shitty pixelation but I already know it's just effort and elbow grease and not all that hard.

There's plenty of good Batman headsculpts to counter your kawaii uguu one.

>>
So this has rather negative repercussions for DC's collectors line since the articulation is not so good on the Scareglow from the new MOTU collector line.
>>
>>11753882
Also same issue as Todd's as far as not able to crunch forward. Why do all domestics have this issue when they use double ballpegs?

It’s hitting sculpted bone anon. The bare arm he-man bends just fine.

Are you FUCKING INSANE? The articulation is some of the best on the market! Especially a retail line! The figure feels great! Stop whining about a toy you don't even own! Jesus Christ.

Nope, just 90. Why argue with visual proof?

>>11753895
Ah yes it "feels" good even though it only hits 90 degrees on an elbow joint and can't lean forward. These aren't even much better than masterverse, not enough to justify the price jump to $27. I was hopeful since the joints looked import style but they do not have import range.
>>
>>11753838
No matter how much bitching and moaning you do, mattel is still coming, so cry harder faggot.
>>
>>11753910
Well the thing is, just because Mattel DC is coming doesn't mean we'll be buying. I collected Origins and Masterverse, but the first Chronicles figures are unfortunately rather underwhelming and have many of the same problems domestics are consistently known for, despite the higher price tag.
>>
>>11753908
The upper part of the elbow joint isn’t even being bent

>Guy with visual proof vs guy with insults
>>
>>11753694
I like how you try to make it sound like it's a phenomenon exclusive to here, but consensus has turned against the DCMV line virtually everywhere in recent years for a variety of reasons. Reddit, youtube, instagram, toy sites, etc. Todd took a line that started as one of the best values for your money and turned it into one that's actively hostile to collectors. Coupled with the fact that the line's basically in it's death throes with Mattel taking over soon and of course most people don't care anymore.
>>
>>11754016
NTA but it's doubtful Todd did that because he wanted to. Most likely his hand was forced by bad sales, retailers, economic conditions and WB/DC themselves and their proclivities. McFarlane Toys is apparently not even solely owned by Todd-- that info recently came out. Some guy who bought Gamestop Canada owns at least some portion of it, so Todd may not have 'shareholders' but he has at least one other person who partly owns the company.
>>
>>11754022
Nah he kept spamming that vampire and jokerized shit that wasn't selling instead of making things like classic Wonder Woman and Batman movie waves. Then he started doing the collector's edition stuff just because he knew he could get an extra ten bucks out of people. The straw that really broke the camel's back was the $60 Zatanna announcement. That was what pushed the community from being passively pissed to outright hostile.

Mattel's Crime Crusher Batman. $49.71 CAD
>>
>>11754042
Yep, because the days of DCMV products being on shelves anywhere near me are long gone. My Walmart has the same gimp mask green lantern that's been there for over a year and every preorder I've ever placed for a McFarlane toy has been cancelled or delayed.
Less than $100 to just avoid the headaches and bullshit is a fantastic deal, especially when Todd doesn't get a penny of it. Fuck, I wish I could have paid Chang $200 for her.
>>
>>11754032
>Nah he kept spamming that vampire and jokerized shit
> vampire line is a walmart exclusive and only a handful of figures
> jokerized continues with mattel because it actually does sell because joker is one of the most popular dc characters of all time
> this is the cause of todd's personal downfall
>>
>>11754016
Those are also figures no one cares about
One person did make an "I'm excited to own Owl" Marvel Legends post, complete with photos and it's peg warming at even clearance prices at both Wally and Target.

Shit most no one cares about is never going to drive Internet conversations.

Yes yes yes. Pre orders don't work despite literally everyone else in this thread not having an issue. You're so stupid it's actually painful to watch. But go ahead justify spending almost $100 on a DC fucking multiverse release that will most likely bin because who the fuck cares about Starman Jack other than you?

not to take that dildo's side, but again, this is one of the most acclaimed comics of the 90s and this just makes you sound like a know-nothing casual
>>
>>11754176
Anon, the people buying DC Multiverse are know nothing casuals. I don't expect them to even know who Starman is, let alone have read Zero Hour. Also, calling a mediocre story like Zero Hour one of the most acclaimed comics of the 90s is laughable and makes you look like the causal.

>>
>>11754016
I've been shitting on the line since it came out. I genuinely don't understand how any of you thought it was good, even at the $20 price point. Todd made so many stupid decisions over the course of the lines life, you can't be surprised that it took only like 5 years for the community to wake up and realize I had been right the whole fucking time.
