New toys aren’t coming. Zoomer and millennials are going to get drafted. To production will not be possible in 6 months. Good luck.

Damn? I'm very impressed with this for an ML. Sure there still could be improvements, like the torso doesn't bend as far forward as I'd like and they need to update the swivel waist, and I'd kill for ball wrists, but other than those nitpicks I gotta say, Hasbro is really stepping it up. Wish every figure got this level of love an attention. The Born Again figures feel like they have the same level of care to them, I broke those guys back out since I'm watching the new season. Matt, Frank, and this new Logan all feel like a step up in terms of articulation.

He didn't even show up at any of my Targets, instead we have a plague of Cardiacs and those are the ones getting clearanced at several stores
>>

Yeah, I had one Target that has nothing but Cardiac and Hypno Hustler. The one by my house though did have a few 2099s so I got him, it also had Nightcrawler Spidey but I passed, I don't care about modern X shit anymore.
>>
Marvel really fucked up by not making this brown suit design the main suit he wore in the movie. I know the tiger stripe is more iconic and I personally am a big fan of the updated Astonishing look as well, so I had no problems with the actual main suit he wore but goddamn, the brown suit looks just so fucking good. Really a shame you only see it for a split second.

This insistence that toys are going to be no more is fucking weird anon, they're not going away, they're just going to be more expensive. Smaller lines might die out, sure, but it is just how it is. Stop being a fearmonger faggot and post toys you already have.
>>
>>11751054
>>11751102
There was a loney Cardiac in the back of all those Owl's, also for $12.99. The other big store near me had them both (and Hypno Hustler) for $12.99 on the pegs and I am going there today hoping to find some NECA Haulthon crap. But that store usually sells out their clearance stuff.

I think these Owls were in the back and someone just forgot to put them out for sale. And never restocked pegs because they sold so slowly.

As for Nightcrawler Spidey, I got sent one of those by mistake when I ordered the Retro Spider Venom. So I had to return it to the store for my refund, but then needed to make a SECOND order to get the Retro because Target wouldn't just ship me a replacement.

Which since I don't want to fucking pay for their Target Circle, meant I had to buy something else to get it free shipped AGAIN.

Which meant this stupid thing for $10.99 as the cheapest plastic crack they had listed that wasn't a Spidey and Friends or other junk.
>>
>>11751236

They will go away. Numbers will be reduced as more places stop carrying and companies stop producing because the costs are so high and customers dry up as they struggle. We're in real danger.

That said, I'm not opposed to criticism in any form and this anon makes a reasonable point. I've been experimenting with the various lighting options since picking up this diorama and milage does vary a lot with the unconventional colors, especially depending on the colors of the figure. I've admittedly taken more than a few shots where I ended up thinking 'eh, should have used the regular lighting' when looking at them later.

Dear God, what have I done...
>>
>>11752039
Eh, she and Thanos work well enough for a comic display. Personally, I use both in my comic displays. That two pack was perfect for me since I wanted new versions of both characters for years now.
>>
>>11752062
That's fair. I wasn't sure if anyone else liked that Thanos (people seemed pretty down on him on reveal), but I think he's pretty good too.
>>
>>11752065
He's an upgrade from the Deluxe imo, I skipped the deluxe since I have the Select but I wanted to get an updated one. The new one is pretty good in that it has cuts in the skirt to allow him to actually move his legs at the hips.
>>
>>11751958
That's what I'm expecting. The comic 2-pack with Muse and Bullseye is also making me hope those two will come as well.
>>
>>11752065
I bought the 2 pack for psylocke and honestly I played with him more kek.

Since I collect asian toys in general he was my biggest figure at the time so I had a lot of fun

Anybody been watching Born Again Season 2? It's alright so far, maybe a bit slow. But it's certainly a step up from the first season.
>>
Im glad i didn't buy baldy from deadpool and wolverine. She doesn't seem like a good value
>>
>>11751777
Those muscle groups don't look accurate
>>
>>11752065
I think people were just mad they had to get another Thanos to get Psylocke. But the pack is great for people that need both
>>
>>11752229
Cassandra Nova works because A. The character has never had a figure so she can work as a comic version of her B. We gave scant X-Men movie villains as is and the figure is decent
>>
>>11752256
This, I got her just because she'll fit nicely into my X-Villains shelf. Plus it's fitting that I'll be finishing off the Astonishing team in a week or two, since they fought her in the comics.
>>
>>11752065
He's a good version of the character imo.
>>
>>11752065
I like him a lot because he's like the one I had as a kid.
>>
>>11752065
I actually got the set partly for him. Always been partial to Marvel Superheroes/MvC, and I didn't really have a comic Thanos so I was more than happy to have him stand in for just that and I'm pretty satisfied with the vibrant shading/colors.
>>
>>11752214
Why did they make the Born Again figures so good? They really are some of the best figures in the line.
>>
>>11752290
Disagreement. The head sculpt and pointy mask is a massive deal breaker
>>
>>11752214
>>11752427
I'm getting caught up and I'm about halfway through season 1. It's been pretty mid so far honestly, but I think some of that might be due to waiting until last year to watch season 3 of the Netflix run and just feeling sick of how much of the Daredevil show is about Matt not being Daredevil. Kingpin's autism has also begun to reach critical levels, but I sort of forgive that because it's hilarious. Everyone says season 2 is way better though, so I'll keep going. And the toys do seem really good. I probably won't grab any of them, but I did end up putting in a preorder for Secret Wars DD after starting BA. Matt's an all time favorite and it's a decent looking version of his classic look, so it was an easy sell.
>>
>>11752525
Born Again Season 1 is mid in places because it was originally filmed as a complete reboot of the DD brand, until Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio advocated to stick with the Netflix continuity. So Feige took a look at the whole thing, wasn't happy with what the writers were doing, and basically told them to overhaul everything to fit with Netflix while replacing the original team with new showrunners to steer the ship. So anything to do with Bullseye, specifically the beginning episode and the last couple of ones, are all of the new material while the episodes in sandwiched in between were salvaged from the initial reboot.

Moving forward, Season 2 won't have this problem for obvious reasons.
>>
>>11752554
Also yes >>11752214 >>11752427, the Born Again figures are genuinely some of the best figures Hasbro has put out in a while, from the engineering to their overall feel. I'd say the recent DP and Wolverine wave is pretty close in quality too.
>>
>>11752558
It's a shame I don't like the DD:BA costume as much as his Netflix costume. Wish we could get an updated version of that. Also I heard the DD:BA Punisher's mold doesn't really look good when bending the knees/elbows, as in the sculpt doesn't seem to have been adjusted for anything other than standard poses? And the facesculpt is a lil mid.

Also a shame that both Deadpool and Wolverine are based off ancient engineering despite using almost entirely new parts, and so both have those ugly ab crunches... except for the Brown Suit Wolverine, for some ungodly reason. Maybe a Doomsday wave will give us a better torso for MCU!Jackman Wolverine? Ehh. Guess we'll see, not like they handled the Tobey Spider-Man rereleases well (why does the SM3 black suit have the same mask and older proportions of the NWH mold...? Euch).
Honestly I'd love new figures of the Fox costumes too, whether it's the black leather costumes, or the cool jacket Wolvie had in his casual clothes.
>>
>>11752558
Yeah I feel the same way about the new DP and Wolverine figures. Really feel like a step up from the rest of their lineup. Separate necks, ball shoulders. All they really need to do is give the waist a ball joint and maybe allow the ball torso to have better range, and add ball wrists and MLs would be pretty ideal in terms of engineering.

>>11752633
Yeah I do like the Netflix costume better as well, but the BA suit has grown on me. As for Frank, his elbows do look kind of rough sometimes, depending on how you bend them, but his knees are fine imo. I will say the face looks weird but I think the sculpt is there and it's being held back by the paint job. I've seen customizers repaint it to make it look a lot better.

>Also a shame that both Deadpool and Wolverine are based off ancient engineering despite using almost entirely new parts
What? Those figures are using a lot of the newer engineering like the ball shoulders. The yellow Wolverine has a bit older stuff here and there but it also came out like a year ago. The newer figures from that wave as well as the BA figures were made after the initial DP wave.
>>
If we're talking new engineering, all MLs need to have ballpegs at the waist.
>>
>>11752717
I literally said that though. That and ball wrists. Not sure why people tend to overlook those too. The newer Black Series figures with them are so much better, especially for holding lightsabers.
>>
>>11752214
Yeah. I'm pretty happy with it so far, but I was a big fan of those Netflix shows except Iron Fist and Defenders so they'd have to really fuck up for me to dislike it. Foggy's absence in favor of Karen is definitely a loss, though imo.
>>
>>11752753
I'm still not convinced Foggy is dead. His actor is back for this season, granted it could be flashbacks, but then again there is a storyline from the comics where Foggy faked his death that Born Again is drawing from. So who fuckin knows.

>>
>>11752695
For me it's Frank's hair, there's no getting around that and it looks quite silly lol. Maybe the BND wave will have a more definitive MCU Punisher for me desu.
I will admit the BA Daredevil figure looks greatly improved with the silver bits painted in, specifically the D's on the belt. He otherwise looks too plain, almost like his design's missing something. We'll see if we get another Daredevil on BND, maybe that or the BA S2 designs will look good too? If not I'll pick up the BA S1 figure mebbe.

As for DP&W, yeah, it is quite odd. But you can definitely compare like Deadpool himself, and despite every body part being new molding, he's somehow using the exact same (under)sizing and engineering as his older Fox-era ML.
Same goes for the casual-clothes Logan, he's similarly a retool of at least the engineering for the old wife-beater Logan ML - maybe a couple shared parts, dunno. So I just figured the full-costume Wolverine is also retooled somehow from one of the old figures, while the brown suit one is entirely new engineering, for some reason.
>>
>>11752753
Which non-Daredevil seasons specifically didja like? I thought JJ S1 was decent, but (like all the rest from what I gather?), it felt a bit padded for the 13ep runtime, in a way Daredevil never felt like to me. I tried out a movie-length fanedit of IF S1 and that was okay, overall plot was still meh though imo. There's a few movie-length and miniseries fanedits of the Netflix shows, so I'm maybe curious about trying those out sometime.
>>
Is the Target carded Retro version of the Amazing Fantasy figure similar enough to the boxed 60th anniversary release? Both seem pretty easy to find and I've seen bargains on both online.
The only difference seems to be the powder blue emblem on the back and I've never read 1960s Marvel comics enough to care about shit like that.
>>
>>11753527
The retro carded version is technically more accurate to AF15. The back spider on the retro card version is blue, like the original coloring did. The 60th anniversary version has a red spider on his back.
>>
>>11753532
I figured it was something like that. Those go for more with some sellers. Especially on mercari or ebay.
Thank you for the reply!
>>
>>11752771
I hope so. I don't normally like resurrections even though it's a comic staple since it feels like it takes away from the stakes, but in this case I'd be okay with it as I think removing him was a major misstep.

>>11753254
Oh, Daredevil's definitely the best, but Punisher was also really solid imo. JJ S1 was great with Purple Man, though unfortunately kind of peaks there. Luke Cage actually improved in its S2, though doesn't quite reach the heights of those three. Iron Fist...I barely remember anything about it except Danny looking way too skinny, having terrible fight scenes, and Colleen stealing the show. They definitely all have a bit of padding, but I guess I don't find it that bad since I watched the Arrowverse CW shows back in the day.

Can't wait to see people overpay for this and throw the (likely oversized) head on a shitty body for a quick kitbash, only to then feel cheated when we end up getting a proper figure of the look a year from now
>>
>>11753772
If it's scaled like the Tony head that came with the first Hulkbuster, it should scale fine. But yeah, i foresee people buying this just for the Solid Frank head. I won't lie, I'd be tempted if I had more money to just blow on toys. But yeah, here's hoping they just give us a proper figure of Solid Frank.

On another note, did I fuck up by skipping the new Secret Wars Daredevil? I wasn't the biggest fan of the color scheme but it's grown on me. I have the Mafex and am already happy with that, but I won't lie, the new ML looks pretty good.

The consensus I keep hearing is basically "it's a good series but feels more like it's written for Wolverine than Punisher"; don't know at all how accurate that statement is. Would you say it's true?
Also never watched any Arrowverse stuff. Was always curious though. Is it worth a try?

It's been out in Asaia for a while, it's finally in North America, from Blokee's official, but the best price is probably at BBTS (due to their Pile of Loot) but if you want other shit, it's cheaper by a few bucks at Entertainment Earth.

Third party scalpers are the ones selling at Crapazom so it's the highest prices. GameStop should eventually get it and you can actually get them to do a pre-order free shipped to a store once they make it available.

There's also a Rocket Rivals that's now finally in the USA, it's been out even longer than Peni.

And meanwhile, a great offer had came in on the Target Retro - plus your advise, so I accepted - plus it had a spare bonus head - and was also under retail, even with postage
Seller's in state, so postage was cheaper) and I would have to pay sales tax to Walmart, or BBTS or Amazon either way.

I guess since both are open, I'll play with them and see if there's really any difference?
Maybe even keep both?

Man a stylized Moon Girl figure based on the cartoon with a deluxe Devil Dinosaur would be so cool.

I'm surprised that Gwenpool only has that one incredibly shitty figure and they never made another one or even slight update to it. (I think they should model it more on Gurihiru's art instead)

I was looking the other day and laughing my ass off that Jeff the Shark has only had that one singular release with Shiklah and it was before his design changed into the more cute-y chibi look that everyone else uses now.
>>
>>11753958
Luke Cage S1's first half is great and the strongest in the show, but then there's a change in villain and the second half's a noticeable dip. S2's a lot more consistent all the way through. IF S2's fight scenes are definitely better than the first, I'll give it that, but even then it's not on the level of the rest imo. Funny enough, the best version of Iron Fist is when he appears in Cage S2. The Punisher and Wolverine comparison is probably because Bernthal plays him more hot-blooded than comic Frank. Gives off much more of a feral feeling in his fights with the roaring and close-combat and constantly getting bloodied.

As far as the Arrowverse, even though I watched most of them all the way through, it's more because I'm a completionist. On average, their quality's not on the level of the Marvel Netflix shows since there are a lot more seasons and episodes per season. They have a pattern of starting strong, then a new show starts and gets all the effort, the previous show suffering for it and future seasons varying in quality. One thing they do very well is make the universe feel interconnected with frequent crossovers. Still, Superman & Lois is the only one I'd say was good all the way through. While Batwoman's the only one I dropped because it was terrible.

>>11755293
It's almost like different people have different opinions. I've always contended that Marvel was fine up until the 2010s and servicible enough until Hickman's Secret Wars. But after that, everything else might as well be fan fiction. The 70s and 80s were peak Marvel with all the classic stories being told in these decades. The 90s is when shit started taking a shelf dive with shit like the Clone Saga, the Crossing, and the Twelve. Marvel literally almost went out business. The 2000s were better than the 90s but even then, going back and rereading some of it now is kind of rough but still passable and some of the ideas like Secret Invasion or Dark Reign were at least interesting. Civil War though really was a blow Marvel never could quite recover from though imo.
>>
>>11755307
Being 100% honest, I haven't really followed Marvel comics since like 2008.

Do we have any Brazil anons here? I have a bit of an insane request
Back in the 70s the brazillian toy company Gulliver launched these small little superhero figures of both Marvel and DC characters. There are different versions and relauches, what ended up with me were solid color ones(not painted) in the late 90s/early 2000s. The DC ones might've been the ones that Pepsi launched, that had better molds, but I also had a lot of Marvel ones. I played SO MUCH with these, I remember vividly the feeling of Namor's wings scraping my 04 yo's baby teeth, so I have a bit of an attachment to the little things.
Here's my conundrum: These shits are SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE. You won't be paying less than $50(equivalent of paying 250 bucks) for one now, and they're often not in great condition because kids used to do exactly what I did: eat them
So I'm hoping for ANYONE to have some info on maybe some chinesium relaunches, maybe 3D printable files( I do have access to a resin printer, so that could be a way of doing this) or even any molds, honestly, since I'm able to cast stuff with no issues too
Would just be really cool, they were nice little figures.
Thanks in advance anons
>>
>>11755084
Thanks for the breakdown!
Re:Punisher comparison to Wolverine, iirc the critique mainly stemmed from that, but also, how the plots of his show (supposedly) were generally about him "trying to move on from his past and live a quiet life, but keeps being dragged back", and I guess Punisher fans wanted him to live and die by his personal "mission" the whole time. Dunno how much of that's true, and how much an overreaction that doesn't consider his potential arcs in the seasons; but if it is at all accurate, I'd assume the truth is somewhere in the middle? Dunno.

Sorry if that upsets you or that you're offended by it, but it's the truth. It does.

Isn't that the wrong Bombshell? Wendy is the blonde who is a minor bad guy.
>>
>>11756143
Told you guys, displayanon has a fucking folder or something where he just tracks everyone's collection to harass them in groups outside of here.

I'm the one he responded to though...

You can have her for as little as $4.99 plus shipping!!!

Tiger stripe movie version looks over designed and shys away from doing actual "tiger stripes".

Brown suit movie version looks like it was designed by the guy who designed the costumes in Deadpool 1, as in, it looks good.

Everyone really wanted the x23 figure from that last wave.
>>
>>11756836
everyone really likes dafne
>>
>>11756836
I saw her at Target yesterday and passed on her. I dunno, I really don't care that much about her character and she's too young for me to find sexually attractive, I know, I know, she's of age in DP&W but still, she's like 15 years younger than me so I just can't find her hot. I've been more in to Elle Fanning lately, thanks Kojima...
>>
>>11756858
great job being psyopped into thinking it's weird to find a legal adult visually attractive
>>
>>11756861
Sorry that I don't find people a decade and a half younger than me attractive. Not sure why it upsets you.
>>
>>11756873
I've already explained why. You only feel that way due to external influence and a weak will.
>>
>>11756881
No I'm not sure why it personally upsets you since it in no way affects you. I don't care if you think she's attractive. Stop getting mad that someone has different opinions than you.
>>
>>11756885
>I don't care
You clearly do, since you randomly mentioned that you "can't" find her sexually attractive to the extent that you even avoided buying a figure of her.
>>
>>11756887
Are you incapable of reading or are you just misinterpreting what I said just so you can argue? I have no problem with you personally finding her attractive. That's like, your opinion, man. I just don't know why you're so upset that I also don't find her attractive.
>>
>>11756895
Once again, because you've been psyopped. To such an extent that you need to mention it to others.
While there may be some vague implication because she is hot, nobody mentioned wanting to fuck her except you, in a negative sense.
>>
>>11756896
>Having an autistic meltdown because I don't find the same actress attractive as you
I hate you guys. Stop going out of your way to get upset at shit that in no way affects you. Stop being such an emotionally unstable retard.
>>
>>11756901
Next time don't go out of your way to mention your cucked psychology
>>
>>11756902
Make me you little cuck.
>>
>>11756905
I could probably make you kill yourself if I posted enough pictures of Dafne Keen, as you've foolishly revealed your deathly allergy to her.
>>
>>11756907
Lmao why are you so angry?
>>
>>11756908
How many more times do I need to explain that you've been psychologically ruined? Why would someone not be annoyed by that?
It's so bad that you mentioned it here for no reason.
>>
>>11756909
No there has to be a deeper reason as to why you're so mad that a complete stranger you'll never meet doesn't find a particular actress attractive. It's a really weird thing to crash out about. People are allowed to have different opinions than you.
>>
>>11756912
You didn't say you don't find her attractive.
You said you can't find her sexually attractive due to her age, despite her being of age, so you "can't" find her hot.
Not only does this imply that if the other difference was that was 27, you would find her sexually attractive (or even just "hot" in passing), but also that it is somehow not even to you whether you can or cannot hold such an opinion.
If you didn't want to sound like a cuck, you failed.
>>
>>11756914
It's really weird that you're this upset about this. I hope you find the help you're looking for bro.
>>
Are you idiots really so lonely that you need to shit up this place by arguing about nothing?
>>
Right before the pandemic hit, I sold off every single one of my Hasbro Marvel Legends. I made thousands off of them, as I've mentioned here in the past.

From that, I then took my wife on a week long roadtrip throughout New England that summer.

We stayed in crazy nice hotels, we had amazing food, took a boat trip out to see the seals and puffins in Bar Harbor. We had thousands of expendable cash, and I told her that if she wanted to have it, buy it. If she wanted to experience something, let's do it. We even paid for a lady's stuff at a convenience store when her EBT card wasn't working. You could tell she felt embarrassed, and shit, we had the money and the privilege, and could have used the good karma.

Point being, that was one of the best, most memorable experiences we have ever been on as a couple. And not a single one of those figures can replace those memories or time spent with her. Especially when she has always worked so hard and been such an amazing, supportive wife. To be able to give that to her and tell her not to worry about a dime, and seeing her be able to be truly carefree is an irreplaceable feeling. Fuck Marvel Legends.

Congratulations, nice blog. Glad you had fun with your wife, not sure why you felt the need to overshare it here.

Nice. Ive been out of the loop for a while just waiting on ghostrider and the 2nd secret wars pack to drop. Any new leaks?
I still really need me a classic hercules in the tunic and a valkyrie to complete my champions and defenders.

Why the fuck is Electro a chick?
>>
>>11756097
Wow WHAT A DEAL
>>
>>11757049
Agree, plastic creatures can't replace real humans. I don't get why we spend so much money on these toys. It's mostly pointless.
>>
>>11757118
Dan Slott decided to gender flip another Spidey villain after doing it to Kraven. So he had Electro's new girlfriend kill him to steal his costume identity and then paid a scientist to give her electric powers.

Spencer brought OG Electro back at the end of his run and now they coexist with girl Electro being part of Beetle's clique
>>
>>11757123
Everything is mostly pointless when you really come down to it. Just find the stuff that makes you happy and enjoy that. Not sure why this is so hard for people to do.
>>
>>11757061
fuck yeah bring on the vulcan body molds, stinky hastards are eating goooood
>>
>>11757056
To reminisce 6 years later to tell everyone how great his life was without toys.

Probably got back into Marvel Legends and his life went to shit so he blames it on the toys and not how bad he is with money. Or how all his happiness in his relationship depended on said money.
>>
>>11757320
If buying toys is enough to wreck your life, you have some other serious problems going on. I don't understand why some of you over dramatize and make a federal case about collection fucking $25 action figures. My God.

https://www.disneystore.com/venom-symbiote-slime-417030081389.html
They finally made official magnetic Venom slime. I used to use Gak's Alive with my Toy Biz Marvel Superheroes Venom as a kid, so I'm going to pick some of this up.
>>
>>11757348
I just don't understand why someone would come to a toy forum after 6 years of selling all their toys to talk about how much better their life is... unless they "relapsed" or are lying.
>>
>>11757375
They're lying. Someone who has a stable and happy life isn't coming to this website.

Is Hasbro trying to make warhammer suits?

I'VE GOT BALLS OF ICE
>>
So what are we getting on the livestream? I'm trying to think of anything from the leaks that we haven't already seen.
>>
>>11757703
Probably Brand New Day stuff, maybe another X-Men 97 wave to coincide the season 2's release
>>
>>11757654
A fellow Blade shades enjoyer
>>
>>11757734
Just give me a fucking 97 Beast already Hasbro, fuck.
>>
>>11757348
You mean $20 action figures, I mean $23 action figures, I mean $25 action figures, I mean $28 action figures. And except for sometimes when they're $40 and extra special times when they're $55.
>>
>>11757894
If buying something for sub $100 is a big ask for you, maybe you should rethink participating in a hobby that is mainly about spending money.
>>
>>11757654
is this one of the motherfuckers that's always trying to ice skate uphill
>>
>>11757898
Buying AY Juri and Kaiyodo Harley wasn't a big ask. But Marvel Legends for over 20? Yeah that's a big ask.

This, Jesus Christ. I missed the retro release so I'm still using my Marvel Select that looks like a damn demon.

>>11757654
I can't unsee the hairline after seeing Anthony's review. Is this the best Iceman available?

>>11757654

Damn I need Hasbro to release a pack with a dozen of them, some weapons and effects too.
>>
There's plenty of beasts who can stand in for a 97 beast so hasbro may be thinking There's no point in making one
>>
>>11758552
It's Hasbro. They will 100% put out a figure they know people want and will make more money.
