Mace:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/1333122-motu-man-at-arms-mace?from=search#profileId-1371879

For the mace there is a part attached to handle you need to remove in the parts section to expose the peg hole. Then just use a primitive cylinder part to make a 30x250mm peg to go into the peg holes instead of needing to buy a dowel or pipe and print it horizontally and with 100% infill for strength.

Sword:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/1138941-life-size-heman-sword#profileId-1140937
Sword pommel:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/1393518-pommel-for-a-life-sized-he-man-sword#profileId-1444159

For the sword file I recommend printing the joining pegs horizontally and using 100% infill. The first one I printed fell out of my hand when I was goofing with it and broke due to the pegs being weak from the layer lines being vertical. I also recommend reducing the height of the pegs by 1mm each since they are slightly too long

Also printed all these in PETG to add a sheen to mimic a bit of a metallic shine since PLA is usually matte

Also found He-Man's axe. Going to print this one soon as well

Gygor definitely, just because he's gonna have to be a fully cgi creature and I can't imagine they'd waste budget on a cgi creature if they DIDNT intend to capitalize on it.

Karg and Pig Boy I'm more iffy on because they'll probably just be practical effects and costumes, not that much different from the "whatever that is" guy from the trailer that'll prob not get a toy. So they might not go further than the block sets

Ok, since someone at Mattel seems to really like Man-e-Faces, I had an idea: Singl-e-Faces three pack in which Man-E is split into 3 unique beings.

And I don't mean just 3 Man-E figures, only with a head drum glued in place so each displays a different one. I mean fully unique designs for fully human Perkaedo, green-skinned monster and 100% non-organic robot. Tell me you never wondered what the full version of his faces would look like.

>>
>>11753520
>Thang
Does it need to be spit on?
>>
OK, assuming this movie is a hit that gets a sequel greenlit the Monday after it opens, which villains do you use? And more importantly, HOW?
The Evil Warriors have Evil-Lyn and some dudes in makeup to do dramatic performances. If they do Snake Men, wouldn't they all be CGI except King Hiss in his human suit?
How about the Horde? Can CGI villains like Mantenna and Modulok carry a live action film? If they can't use She-Ra characters, we might end up with an unmasked Despara (who can never get a Sword of Protection) carrying the drama alongside Hordak.
>>
>>11753520
Some people have resting bitch face, some have resting puppy face.

>>11753539
They could redesign Snake Men for more and less snake-like for variety. Snake Face at least can be human-like, so does Lady Slither.

I think the deeper we go a) The less villains they'll need, Hiss and maybe one more can carry story while other villains are mooks b) They more confident they'll feel in trying to make CGI characters like Thanos or Sonic carry serious scenes.
>>
>>11753539
Snakemen that can be easily done with practical effects and minimum cgi:
King Hiss (human form)
Snake Face
Slither
Pythonus
Terroar

Ditto for Horde
Hordak
Grizzlor
Dragstor
Mosquitor (say the head is a helmet like cgi did with their mosquito)
Wrap Trap

All of them could be guys in suits 90% of the time with maybe like one or two cgi display of their power
>>
>>11753531
Goddamn, Lyn, is that all you think about, spitting on Skeletor's thang?
>>
If you were going to get into collecting vintage Motu, which characters mog their Origins counterparts?
>>
>>11753629
Vintage Kobra Khan, Rattlor and Tung Lashor are famous for having action features Origins don't.
>>
>>11753629
The ones with working gimmicks.
Like origins mekanek has pieces while the vintage figure has a turn the waist and the neck extends.
>>
>>11753642
>>11753643
Those are the ones that came to mind as well. What about Fisto and Jitsu?
Mantenna is kind of tricky. I love how Mattel updated the legs...but now his eyes are gimped.
Origins Roboto is missing some gears to.
>my autistism is awakening and soon will have to go all in on vintage
>>
>>11753629
Modulok.
I don't know if that's a hot take or if many people will agree with me but Modulok is the only one so far that I've opted to just take him out of the display in favor of his vintage counterpart.
Even >>11753642 these three snakes, as pissed as I was over the removed feature, I'm still keeping in my display.
>>
>>11753651
What's your take on Moddy? I skipped him because it just looked too fiddly and I knew my kids would lose all the parts.
I was going to get the Classics version of him because the extra size shouldn't make a different because he's a giant bug monster.

I don't like Modulok being big, I prefer him as a little guy
The feature is not fun to play with because I hate the need for those connector adaptor pegs they were required to use to make him compatible with regular figures but still make weird combinations. The old one you could just pop and swap .
And the combos you come up with look too awkward to me in a way I don't like.

Origins Modulok is only good if you're the kind of collector that will put him in the standard two head, six legs configuration from thr box, put him on the shelf to look at and never touch him again. But if you want to play with him as intended, vintage is more fun for that

Fucking bullshit. Why is the 4 pack release date so far away? April 25th was way too far off for a street date for the rest of the regular figures, why is the goat man four pack almost a months away from the main street date that was already itself too late to come out for the figures that in reality should've come out in late march/earl april?

Does the Skeletor have the old head or the toy/vintage head?
>>
>>11754626
oh thanks anon, Ive been wanting that Skeletor. He's got a much nicer dark purple.
>>
Hey guys, I'm a little confused and I know you can sort me out. So I got that golden skeletor today, what line or series does it belong to? It's not origins but it doesn't have any movie references either. A
nd what's the significance of the INAUGURAL on scare glow? It leads one to think a second version is coming but I'm just interested in him currently as I don't plan to collect the line but maybe cherry pick while I focus on origins.
>>
>>11754660
that golden Skeletor is from the kid line "first ones." He's the first one out and there will be more. No clue why they made him, but since he's a walmart exclusive it's probably just something they made up and shit out.

Huh, weird that they would do a random one off as an exclusive. Thanks for the answer man, I appreciate it. I was going to get one of those minis that look like wwf knuckle busters but I grabbed a armorsaur figure instead. Anyway, really looking forward to seeing motu back on the shelves again even if it's just movie tie in stuff.
>>
>>11754691
I doubt he actually sold out, probably Mattel just sold their unsold inventory directly to bbts to get it out of their warehouse.
>>

Update
All of these figures are great.
Mighty masters better fucking continue.
Chronicles are a million times better than masterverse. My scareglow moves nice but I’m really worried about loose joints sooner rather than later but that may just be my copy.
First ones/core skeletor is buttery smooth. I think that’s the route I’m going for movie related figures outside of a chronicles heman and battle cat. Don’t sleep on any of these lines. I highly suggest trying them if you’re on the fence about any of them.

>>
>>11755752
I'd say at bare minimum, I'd go for at least 1 version of all the characters that appeared in the vintage line just because it's the generally accepted core of MotU.

That way you have a goal, but you have some flexibility. Like you can decide if you want vintage, LoP or ToG to be your Mer Man, but know you have to get at least one of them.
Of course, much of the cast only has one option, so that'll narrow it down a little.
>>
>>11755752

>>
>>11755752
Second what >>11755755 said
If you can try for vintage, at least 1 version of said character (He-Man, Thunder punch He-Man, Laser Power He-Man, etc. = all fall under as a 'He-Man' figure) would be ideal. I'd try to avoid 100%ing side series like Filmation or Sun-Man or TMTN etc. because that is a whole other can of worms. It actually may be easy to get all the Vintage figures for near MSRP minus a few that may be more expensive. It depends on your own collection goals, and budget of course.

I’ve been trying to shake the trees for more info on what’s coming out after the movie hits and not been too fruitful. I found a ton of info for another line coming but as far as MOTU, it’s been stuff a retard could guess. More Chronicles, Core and Origins of unannounced characters with meaningful appearances in the film. A broad merchandising program across multiple formats for many retail channels and partners centered around the digital release in the fall leading into the key Christmas shopping season. An exciting new “As Seen in the Movie” program will deliver key products such as toys and vehicles to excite collectors and fans. This will deliver exclusive branded products to major retail partners for the upcoming busy shopping season post theatrical window.

Anyone speak legal bullshit? I can’t believe someone gets paid to write that shit. I trying to figure out if it’s all secrecy or lazy bullshit on Mattel’s part at this point. They hype up a bunch of Chronicles and the kids line, show those off at shows. Then all this other shit pops up out of nowhere unannounced and still not even announced like the minis and then we find out hey there’s Origins too. Only other thing I found was Amazon is supposed to have a big landing page with all kinds of shit on it.
>>
>>11755777
it all hinges on if the movie does well. you might see some prototypes leak in a few years if it doesn't, but otherwise we can expect a lot of the same for 2027 and beyond.
maybe check what mattel has copyrighted recently? they renewed their C in Despara a while before making an origins of her, but then they also did for Granamyr too. otherwise your best bet is to dig through mattel employees and look at their portfolios.

I'm wary that it's never going to continue beyond a few "just a new head and gear" characters like Mer-Man, Stratos, Zodac, Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, Faker, Prince Adam, Fisto, Jitsu, King Randor, Clamp Champ, Scare Glow, Ninjor, Webstor, Moss Man, Stinkor and a Mekaneck with the standard torso and neck extensions (the curse of 2010s and 2020s MotU lines).

I had a large vintage collection I liquidated on eBay rather than move between US states with it, because we'd seen the Deluxe Wave 3 Origins and I had faith Mattel would get around to remaking everyone with gimmicks intact.
About a third of the rare 87 figures, everyone from 84-86 except Prince Adam, Battle Armor He-Man, Thunder Punch He-Man and Horde Trooper, Evil-Lyn, Man-E-Faces, even a few 82 characters I can scarcely believe were still on pegs. Still had their mini-comics and card backs even though I was only age 4-5. Every playset except Eternia, the cats, horses, Dragon Walker and the 1985 vehicles.
I mostly don't regret it, though in hindsight I should have kept vintage Kobra Khan, Rattlor, Tung Lashor and some vehicles.

>>11758823
This is neat, although i'd rather have the horde tower. But this is unique a concept enough I'd be into it. I do think they need to get away from the kind of sameness of the interiors, if it's just another round of "throne + weapons rack + jail cell" reskin type shit it's sort of a waste. Given the industrial look of this with the chains, it would be cool if the inside was more like an industrial factory/engine room setting with prisoners forced to work putting together some robots on an assembly line or tossing ore into an engine or something.
>>
>>11758823
I'm not going to pretend a flying skull fortress isn't cool but it's insanely impractical for a toy.
>>
>>11758844
>Given the industrial look of this with the chains, it would be cool if the inside was more like an industrial factory/engine room setting with prisoners forced to work putting together some robots on an assembly line or tossing ore into an engine or something.
It would be extremely cool if they could put in a robot assembly line or furnace that prisoners have to work. Shades of Sky City from Flash Gordon.
>>
>>11758853
This isn't any less impractical than any number of other tower/clamshell sets except this is just a bit too large. Just imagine the smoke as some translucent plastic, it could be a removable stand type situation and have a split as well if it was an opening set vs a set with an open back like eternia tower. Lose an inch off the smoke, scale down the rest by like 20% and its absolutely viable.

Here's a rough rescale to make it more practical. You could scale it down even more but I think it would start to lose some of it's cool factor then.

And yeah, furnace was exactly the word I was looking for. The sky city is a good shout. I think a lot of fun stuff could be done with this, I really hope they bring the same level of imagination to the interior as they have to the outside.
>>
>>11758844

Price is not nearly as important to me as size. It would be silly to have a massive brand new OC building that completely dwarfs every existing set including eternia, not to mention the practical issues of having something that takes up so much space. Even playing with something that large tends to be annoying.

I'd much rather something that feels like it's believably part of the line, vs something the size of the classics playsets.

I wasn't sold on him looking at the product shots but grabbed him since he's part of the sale and he's a pretty cool figure in hand. I like the head a lot more than I expected. He's my first Chronicles so I'm experiencing the articulation for the first time and it really does feel great. Only the lateral shoulder movement has a ratcheted feel, and the rest is incredibly smooth. The articulation scheme is set up well, but some of the parts could use some refinement, like in the torso. It moves ok, and better than Masterverse, but a torso built this way should be able to get a lot better range. For the thighs they just have movement on the ball, rather than an inner thigh swivel, so that could be better, but it gets the job done. The range of the arms seems to be better overall than it looks to be on Scareglow, which is good to see because his range seemed quite limited. Butterflies are also more limited than they could be, ball pegged arms into to the torso with the floating cap would probably be the ideal setup here.

I hope it's good and doesn't end with a Horde tease.

Goddamn it. They delayed the He-man game that was supposed go drop on the 28th to a vague summer release.

Good. Releasing unfinished games to have day 1 updates should get everyone involved in the creation of the game executed.

>mattel FINALLY fixes the problematic interlocking mechanism in origins swappable joint sockets so they arent as flimsy and snappable but only at the tail end of the line
>end up getting a reissue skeletor that inexplicably has a extra neck peg somehow locked into the chest cavity for some godforsaken reason during mid assembly within the factory
Thanks a fucking lot mattel. Gonna have to get another from amazon

Also i got pen ink accidentally on an old 2000s era stormtroopers head does anyone know how to get that off? Id ask the star wars general but they are pure hell from shitposting atm.
>>
about to order the heman battle burger, only at dennys
>>
>>11760714
Probably just an animated esque design. Otherwise like >>11760790 this would be very similar to Avengers 1 era MCU.
>>
Fellas I am falling hard into MOTU.

These mighty masters are really neat. I got lucky and found man at arms and beast man the other day. I hope they make more characters and would also love to see vehicles and playsets.
>>
it was good, I love slop
>>
>>11760943
I'm glad you're enjoying them, they're super charming. I don't think we'll get a wave 2 but I'll happily be wrong.
>>
Definitely wanna find more vehicles and such that fit these little guys.
>>
>>11760954
Man that would be a shame. They make fantastic desk toys, I kinda wish they had a bit more articulation to fiddle with but I really appreciate they are seeming to be super faithful to the OG toys. They feel like solid toys you could toss into your packet.
>>
>>11760954
There's a lot more characters Mattel could make with little new parts besides heads.
Moss Man (just Beast Man)
Mer-Man
Stratos
Zodac
Tri-Klops
Faker
Mekaneck
Stinkor
Prince Adam
King Randor
Scare Glow
Ninjor
And if stores want more go from there. Mini-comic Trap Jaw just needs the arm and attachments in addition to new head.
>>
Finally got a propper origins He Man to go with my growing collection. Unfortunately his eye paint is slightly misaligned so he is looking to the left a tad and I also just realized my Megatron skelator has an correct bicep/upper arm in his left arm.
I fear I maybe ordering more figures the more I explore and learn about MOTU

Absolute KINO. I just got my hands on MAA, Beastie, and He-man. I'll take pics of my set tomorrow. Mighty Masters is doing a great job of filling the void minis and MCX left in their wake.
>>11760974
I wouldnt hesitate to jump on more Mighty Masters. Matty better recognize the hit they have on their hands with these. Imagine if they covered the whole of vintage and then some plus vehicles, mounts, and playsets in this scale. Mighty Masters PoG Dinos anyone?
>>
>>11761084
I want dc and turtles in this scale too
>>
>>11760974
Honestly the more I think about it every wave could trade off a He-man or Skeletor variant. Wundar, Discotor, Slime Pit, Leotor, Thunder Punch, Dragon Blaster, etc. Especially with how the armor's handled there's alot that could be done even now.
>>
>>11761098
Anon you're a genius! I really hope the mattel top brass has considered the idea. Playmates has a line of their own that's sort of in this scale but its based off the rogen crap.
>>
>>11759344
I like that, a double feature Hordak!
Could LoP Merman ever not be top tier ? All really great picks

There was that one anon that posted on one of these threads about a wave of toys with an inspired by the movie logo on the box. It might be legit as there is a logo in that toy commercial. I’m setting up for disappointment but what if it was things appearing in the movie but we need for vintage completion like Battle Bones, toy Fright Fighters or stuff like Hover Bots or Gygor. That would be awesome!

This new assortment isnt looking as exciting as the originals were to me, but it's still really cool to see this line back. Selfishly I'd like to see some Chronicles versions of them, though I could see them, if they go this route, to just make Elite versions of them. Since the Elite form factor is pretty much set in stone forever for the most part, I think some WWE fans might be interested in getting WWE figures in the Chronicles setup.

I still think Efron would have been the better choice.

>>
>>11760855
If that inked gas soaked in I think you're fucked. Only other attempts at this situation havent't worked well or completely. Try just soaking with alcohol and non abrasive scrubbing, but that'll take quite a bit of effort and a lot of scrubbing that will still likely have something left behind. Like I said, if it soaked in its probably permanent, sorry anon.
>>
>>11761073
I am not the biggest hater but do really think this makes both characters loose credibility.
