I'm still holding out hope they'll make a Pepsi-man figure one day, i've sent messages requesting him since he seems like he'd fit right in, and was making rounds a while ago
I saw buzzmod Lucy came out. https://youtu.be/daugnFmacq8 Anyone planning on picking her up? I think she does look better than the Jada, but obviously she’s over double the price.
>11785302 why zoomers don't know the meaning of their retarded words? >>11785528 >I think she does look better than the Jada maybe the head but that it >>11785817 shame he doesn't include an alternative head, right? :^)
>>11785987 Mega Man has been in Slop Fighter games, which is presumably the only reason modern Crapcom allows him to be seen outside of their rape dungeon at all.
>>11786272 >>11785989 >>11785987 Oh dam, I was gonna ask when the mega man stuff was coming out, didn't know preorders went out tomorrow. Thanks, anons
>Still no Daphne pre-order >Still no Scooby pre-order >Fred and Velma haven't even been officially announced I am still so fucking annoyed by the two monsters and one main character structure of the waves.
>>11786643 jada really seems to overestimate what they are capable of, if they can only get 1 wave out a year they should have done the whole gang in 2 waves, shoved the creeper one of them and called it a day, no one is gonna wait until fucking 2030 for fred and no one is buying the monsters without the main characters
I’m officially off the Jada train guys. I can’t defend them taking so fucking long anymore. It’s literally insane. >but it needs to take so long to be good No. Turn around should take 10 months in the most extreme cases. I don’t know what the fuck they are doing. The only logical explanation is they aren’t booking the factory properly in which case fuck them for intentionally dragging out the lifespan of a property. Fuck everyone dick riding them while they do nothing but dangle carrots.
>>11787057 It's just multiple iterations of figures until they get them right. Juhn is a perfectionist, for better or worse. Use that old Miyamoto saying if you want. Paraphrasing, a delayed good game was delayed, but a rushed bad game is bad forever. The reason they have the reputation they have now is because of how good the figures are. Lamenting how long figures take to get released rather than enjoying them when they do doesnt make a whole lot of sense, it just makes you impatient.
>>11786882 Megaman's core cast is Megaman. So he is covered in one wave. Scooby Doo's core cast is the gang. I am not saying that we shouldn't have any monsters, they are obviously a fun addition but at least keep them to one a wave so we won't have ten monsters of the week by the time the five characters from the main cast drop. That is the kind of clogging that leads to a line dying early.
>>11787057 >The only logical explanation is they aren’t booking the factory properly it's probably this which may also be how they keep costs low, I can't imagine they're still working on molds they showed off over a year ago that looked nearly done the real damage to them doing this is stuff like >>11786643 where people just give up and buy other things, I know I have for the most part, and they're clearly prioritizing street fighter which I understand why but it just ends up burning anyone who wanted their other lines
I'm not buying every Street Fighter or Robot Master so yes, taking years to release a red Mega Man body and calling it Proto Man is absolutely unacceptable. jada is shit at toymaking.
>>11787216 Genuinely curious whether people on here still don't understand that Jada's action figure department is not staffed like Hasbro's or Mattel's. One can definitely argue that they bought too many licenses but when a dozen of people have to manage 5 lines instead of 2, the releases will also take more time. Especially when you have a turbo autist like Juhn who wants to make sure the quality ends up being good which I thought fans should actually value.
It always feels like only a handful of people here have ever been in a management position and truly know how a business actually works.
>>11787304 >If you make all the popular characters first, nobody will buy a wave of secondary characters that's when you start selling recolors with extra accessories which Jada already does, if you make people wait 3 years for 5 relatively basic figures that are half a year apart they're going to get bored regardless of what's around them I don't even understand why they'd do scooby doo if they knew it would take that long and likely won't even make a mystery machine unless it's some comic con exclusive nonsense
>>11787057 I agree they’re slow but expecting 10 month turnaround is stupid and unrealistic. Even Hasbro needs 18 months.
>>11787304 This is not definitive truth, don’t act like it is. It is probably actually more common for companies and toy lines to make the main characters first because it's obvious they will sell. You always get Luke, Han, Vader first then your glup shittos. Nacelle tried your high IQ route with Star Trek by making background characters but they’re not popular, everyone complained, and they finally gave in and started doing mains.
>>11787342 We understand perfectly but we are customers… We want products not excuses. If Jada can’t deliver in reasonable time frames, it's a weakness or failure for their company and something that brings them down against their competition. Why should people give brand loyalty to a company that isn’t satisfying them? And Jada should not expect it either with how they are currently. If this is just a passion project for a few guys then fine they can do whatever that makes them happy. But if they want to be a big toy brand then they need to make improvements.
>>11787304 I'm replying again because it's pissing me off you post this shit all over the board thinking you're smarter than everyone when you're actually a retard that doesn't work at a toy company either. I can poke so many holes in your line of thinking. Your assertion is too fucking simple and black and white when things are actually more complicated than that. Here are possible scenarios
>secondary characters made first >diehards interested but most potential buyers just want mains so they don't sell well >bad sales end the line and main/popular characters are never made or
>waves mixed with secondary/main characters >fans buy both and anticipate more >Jada is too fucking slow to finish the main cast >some people are patient and will wait. but maybe casuals will only wait for what they want and not buy a secondary they don't want >maybe people that were interested eventually lose that interest and don't care about finishing the collection >Jada finally releases the characters but no one cares and people have moved on. Or they do happily buy them but they didn't buy the previous characters so the strategy didn't work
or Jada or whichever company does whatever they want, everything works out, they make tons of money, and fans are happy.
My point here is, consumer behavior is variable and companies have to take a lot of risks and gambles to ensure sales. And you are ignoring two HUGE components to all this because you're boiling everything down to one retarded statement. First, decisions depend a ton on what the IP is, how popular and toyetic it is and what its fans' preferences are.
Second thing you are ignoring is, a lot of companies and toylines that aren't Star Wars or Transformers or capeshit or whatever often do not even make exhaustive toylines for IP that covers every character and glup shitto ever. They make a few then move on to a new IP. So knowing this it is completely reasonable for people to demand and expect finished casts be prioritized.
>>11787601 >Actual silly faces as it should have been from the very beginning >exclusive Is being retarded the requirement for making street fighter toys?
>>11787304 If you take years to release a core cast and prioritize one episode nobodies you end up with an incomplete dead line and a warehouse full of unsold mummies and fish men. By the way there are major variants of the main cast that can be folded into later waves if that is your concern like red shirt shaggy, jumpsuit Daphne, 90's Fred and Daphne, What's New Scooby Doo Fred and Daphne, the Mystery Inc designs and so on as well as other reoccurring characters like Scrappy. >>11787601 Of course.
>>11787601 Those sons of bitches, 100% calculated to have BOTH faces being vastly superior. At least I wasn't planning on getting him but still scummy and a huge fuck you to Dan fans
>>11787809 Anon the main cost for a toy is the molds, these recolors just help them make for money for new stuff. Plus, they did it sparingly compared to Storm who is pumping out a million recolors for each figure they do
>Everything is too expensive now so I just want the main characters >If I buy 1 or 2 robot masters of Scooby villains I'll be compelled to be a completionist >Dont want to buy Megaman or Shaggy years apart from anyone that belongs with them because they'll just stay in their box
Ok I get the arguements for their choice of characters but I dont get how long apart it's taking, and for Scooby Doo Shaggy and Scooby being released close together would be enough for me to have bought those. Instead I just was waiting so long I dont care. How long will it take just to get the 4 Scooby Gang? More than half a decade?
>>11787844 On second thought does this even count as an experience because I havent bought anything from them yet. I dont collect Street Fighter or anything else they do.
>>11787395 >10 month Examples, champ? >>11787395 >Luke, Han and Vader but with multiple new hats hmmm... yeah, now that you put it in perspective, other than red shirt Shaggy, I'm pretty sure people will buy all the variants of the gang, I mean, Velma from Velma is day one preorder, right? >the super hyper giga popular Star Trek figures doesn't sell Gee, I wonder why? >>11787395 >We want products not excuses. I agree quantity over quality kings
The thing that really gets me is megaman is basically fucked after the guts wave, they've already said they're basically done with the line and supposedly moving on to other megaman things No skullman No bass No treble No willy No Dr light None of the bigger bosses No copy robot megman No breakman even though it's literally just an extra head for protoman No joes No air man Like what a way to sink consumer anticipation "nah we're just done after this random reason we just made up"
>>11787432 >Jada finally releases the characters but no one cares because the humanity was doomed, the end of the way, the absolute genocide, THE DOOMSDAY CAME!!! oh, the humanity! Imagine when I saw something I want from Figma, then I finish buying a bunch of shelwarmed Black series stuff just because these are availeable, I don't really care about SW but if I don't coomsume in a few minutes it gives me anxiety, so I finish buying stuff I don't care instead of things from my favorite franchises, but why am I telling you this? that's how all the collectors act, right? ;^) >Second thing you are ignoring is, a lot of companies and toylines that aren't Star Wars or Transformers or capeshit or whatever often do not even make exhaustive toylines for IP that covers every character and glup shitto ever. They make a few then move on to a new IP. So knowing this it is completely reasonable for people to demand and expect finished casts be prioritized. Wow, something solid! I agree with this, nothing is certain, specially in a toy line, but taking into account Juhn want to make stuff that other toy companies don't, I will assume they make a market research to figure Scooby Doo is a considerably popular IP, I mean for a 1969 cartoon, the characters are recognizable (including the monster of the week, most people will not be able to call them by their name but they will talk about that pirate guy or the spooky clown or that guy that looks like an astronaut with a skull), but of course as you pointed consumer behavior is variable and companies have to take a lot of risks, so maybe in a new interview or in SDCC Juhn will say: "Yeah... these doesn't sell as good as I thought" but even if this is the scenario, the line will be adjusted and wave 3 or 4 will consist in the rest of the gang, how the fuck I knew it? because he said that in a interview with Toymigos (I don't remember which video, there are a lot) the only certain thing is that we will have the gang. JUST BE PATIENT
>>11787873 I would be frustrated at that. I can deal with slowness. I can understand some lines not getting completed. But both at once is getting into Super7 territory.
>>11788159 Well, they did eat a lot of protein. I kind of want to get these 2 and Chester Cheetah, but they don't really fit with any display I've got and I can't see myself having a dedicated mascot shelf.
i don't know why jada takes a long time to release certain toys, but a distinct lack of retailer support is probably a large part of it. what's stupid is the inpatient babies who act like they aren't capable of pumping out toys. there's way more jada product on shelves than anyone acknowledges. did anyone even notice these? they pumped out a whole line to hit with this movie. the fact of the matter is that its not easy to get major support for classic mega man and scooby doo. toy companies are at the mercy of retail buyers, and if bob action figure at walmart isn't dazzled at toy fair, the line is gonna live or die by low level support.
>>11788222 You know the reason why Jada made Goat toys? Because Hasbro passed on it, because they thought it'd be a flop. Mattel obviously must have passed as well. Playmates must have passed, Jakks Pacific must have passed, Spinmaster must have passed, and so on, and so on. Hasbro and Mattel are the big two companies with the best distribution, and the only way a property isn't made by them is if they passed on it first. Making those figures was a complete waste of time and money.
>>11788017 I still think they dropped the ball by not making these figures have a part swap gimmick among them. Mega Man should have had swappable face plates so any weapon re-colors would be more tempting to buy.
>>11788635 The downfall of this line was not getting the classic player licenses. I'd drop full retail on an MJ, Shaq, Larry or Charles barkley fig and I dont even watch basketball.
>>11788188 >they don't really fit with any display I've got and I can't see myself having a dedicated mascot shelf That's fag redditor talk. The ONLY kind of shelf you should have is a Cool Shit Shelf.
>>11788922 how do you know if something is stuck or just tight without wasting shock oil or risk of breaking? i ended up drowning my sagats torso just to rotate them.
storm sagat chest aint bad but it still doesnt have the tilt articulation on the waist and chest like collectibles.
>>11787873 Not making Wily is particularly egregious. He's your main antagonist and the final boss of every game. This is tantamount to a company making Mario toys saying "hey, let's make Mario, Luigi and the Koopalings, but not Bowser"
>>11789567 >>11789714 Hell yeah. I got the NECA Chunners too. It's not the best but it's cool for what it is. Plus it was a gift. >>11789715 I fucking love this. That's how you display your action figures.
What kind of heavy duty clear stand can i get for these fuckhuge Storm guys? I wouldn't mind spending some money for something that can hold Zangief or t hawk.
>>11789809 That’s actually p.quick. Thanks for pointing that out. >>11789875 They did during the SF4 era. I have their blocky ass Ryu, and Ken too. >>11789922 My Chun Li is a little lose in the knees so she does have trouble holding her balance. I pose her often, so it comes with the territory, plus she’s from the original batch that was having QC issues. I might buy another if I see her at Walmart, which they are surprisingly stocking.
>>11790016 >I might buy another if I see her at Walmart, which they are surprisingly stocking. They've been there a while. Mine just supplemented their supply of Chun Li with Guile and Deejay recently, kek.
>>11789884 Storm's stands are very sturdy. Do they not include them now? If you collect both scales, Storm Arena stands work very well too and they've included one with every figure so far, i think.
>>11792028 Im happy for them that it looks good as a toy but I really really hate everything about SF6. I wish they did Tekken or Punch Out. Or maybe Metal Slug or something. Sick of seeing Chun Li and Ryu.
>>11793461 it's odd too because I think the figuarts for gon and killua are in actual big box stores over here in the US and probably in the same area these would be placed in
>>11792928 Huh. Can't see myself going for their versions over the Figuarts but hopefully they'll do some of the weirdos that Figuarts probably won't like Biscuit or Uvogin or something.
>>11793461 Don't they try to do IP and characters that don’t have alternatives on the market? If so, this doesn’t make much sense. Wish they’d expand their existing IPs like Edgerunners.
>>11793898 that used to be true but they went straight to alpha when storm is already doing it they had plenty of time to shift since it takes have a decade for them to actually reveal and release anything
Why does Storm always tease and announce so much shit and then take forever with it? I see Jada gets some shit in here for how long it takes them with figures but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as the time it takes Storm. Love both companies figures but gah! Storm is the worst when it comes to this shit. We still don't have any KOF Arena figs out....
>>11794656 Yeah, they show Arena Morrigan what? like 5 years ago? and then nothing >>11794770 >Akuma: "Drink your grape soda, bitch!" >Ryu: "NEEEEVVVAAAAAAAAH!!!"
>>11795172 I thought It would look worse because of some reviews I saw, but I was surprised. That being said, the Storm Arena will likely have better sculpt but I really like the sandals on this one.
>>11794216 There are dozens of us! We'll see if its return can garner new fans and become a success. I assume for now it'll be strictly the tcg, but it would be quite the dream figure line. Such a variety of different creatures that I'd have to think it could be of interest to even people who didnt know of it.
>>11795866 While this is true, it'd be like if a company today used gold plastic and the toy eventually disintegrated. Yellowing plastic has existed for years, so you'd think companies would have accounted for it. That said, this also happens to Hasbro stuff, Lego even, but the fault also lies with the person who owns the toy, because they should be fully aware that this is caused by direct sunlight.
Jada might become my favourite toy company of recent years >kickass MegaMan Figs >sweet ass Street Fighter Figs >1/12 Scooby Figs (FINALLY!) >Universal Monster Figs in the year of our lord 2026 >Ghostbusters/BttF/Jurassic Park diecast cars >Fuckin' glow in the dark Chester Cheetah figs This image is so funny to me man. I love using the 'Street' background while Chester is holding the Spicy Dildo of DooM. If I had more disposable income/space, I'd totally buy some food Mascot figs to fight Chunners and Akuma. Also, I know it'll never happen, but I NEED my Resident Evil waifu, Jillian "Sandwich" "Master of Lockpicking" Valentine, in 1/12 scale with the same quality as the Street Fighter figs
>>11796190 >>11796274 Unrelated, but I have a Silver Mario boxed Amiibo that I've been watching the outer plastic turn yellow over the past years. My other boxed Amiibos are totally fine and are being exposed to the same amount of sunlight (which is very little as I have them hung up on my wall above my window). I think you just can't accurately predict the plastic quality coming from factories with products meant to be disposable, but thats just me.
This is going to hinder his chest and waist isnt it? Should this just be painted? Its like figma tracers straps. Limits articulation and it leaves paint.
>11795866 >11796403 wonder who is behind these weak replies... >Imb4 he will reply to himself and reply to me in a pathetic ""gotcha!"" attempt >>11796382 >This is going to hinder his chest and waist isnt it? if they have good engineering no, but looks like so. Maybe if the piece at the back isn't attached could work without limit the range of articulation nor stains.
>>11795172 one of akuma's defining character traits is his extremely broad animal muzzle like nose. jada just putting a generic honker on him kind of fucks up the look of his face. not a huge deal but noticeable.
>>11796275 I read this Chester barely glows and that the plastic feels "cheap". If true then that's quite the letdown.
>but I NEED my Resident Evil waifu I'd cream myself if they release a mutated Birkin, holy fuck I'll take any company as long as the articulation is on point.
>>11797025 Yes, I don't own it personally but I know some one who did get it. Looks like there is a regular version and 2 alt colors either coming or out
>>11797025 There isn't a Storm Arena Blanka yet, just a regular, larger scale Blanka. But like>>11797028 says, there are a few different color options.
>>11796382 It looks like it's loose enough and it should be able to bend and slide in the required directions. I don't think it's attached to the shoulder.
>>11796341 >Shermie a cutie! this figure, not so much... there is a limit on how much you can get out of 1/18 scale when you still want articulation. Chris diaper doesn't look that great either.
>>11798091 >>11798268 Its disgusting people still praise it. Even those who never got any of the exclusives. This practice is even worse than the horse armor dlc yet people give it a pass.
>>11798450 it really is bullshit i wish they'd just charge us an extra $10-15 up front to give us a complete package, jada is guilty of the same shit but their exclusives are at least a lot easier to get
52toys is making final fight stuff; not too surprising they're starting with the characters in alpha so they can do them before storm does; I don't think their stuff looks as good as storm's but I also don't trust them to actually finish the roster so its welcome
>>11798733 I mean depends on if you’re okay with that representing Ken in your collection. Value wise he comes with more. Personally I’ve only been buying the OG colors.
i was gonna jump ship from jada to storm arena but i prefer jadas style over storms. i just hope jada doesnt take too long to get back into street fighter. i will definitely purchase storms' darkstalker line though
Now that 52Toys has entered the 1/12 ring with their cheap Final Fight and Captain Commando figures, what's next? Personally I would like to see them further intrude Jada and Storm Arena SFA line. Assuming they're doing the next wave in the same hero + villain combo: Cody + Rolento, Haggar + Hugo (Andore), and maybe Jessica + Poison.
>>11799438 Maki x Poison/Roxy makes more sense to me if their license deal also includes Final Fight 2. I'll kill anything for a Maki and Poison action figures.
>>11799438 The 52 toys 1/18 version have the correct shoes. >>11799937 The Jada director or something said about Mikami being a shit to allow the classic RE figures.
>>11801186 The pricing is kinda retarded between the 3.75″ vs 5.9" Guys. Comparing with their original MSRP: 169 vs 179 RMB. Anyone buying the new 1/12 Guy from BBTS at 60 USD needs to have their head re-examined. >https://www.toyark.com/2024/03/08/final-fight-cody-guy-and-haggar-3-75-inch-figures-revealed-by-52toys-527668 >https://www.toyark.com/2026/05/26/final-fight-52toys-guy-and-sodom-figures-589322
We know P2 Akuma is one of the SDCC exclusive this year, which other character do you think the second one will be? Or they could do something different and make a pack of electrocuted skeletons, like an acrylic standee instead of a full figure like the flame ones were.
How safe is to use the metal clamp stand from Storm Arena? My Dan Just come with the metal clamp only. No sure If will fuck the soft plastic of his gi.
I really want to get into Storm Arena SF, but I don't trust them to make everyone in Alpha 3. They're almost certainly not doing any females except for Chin, Sakura, Cammy and Mika. They're more likely to get antsy and move onto SF 3 so they can make 6 more Ryus and Kens.
When is Amazon UK going to get stock on Balrog and Honda. Feels like I've been waiting months. Only need those 2 and Zangief and T-hawk to finish my collection. >>11806243 Im just buying all 16 of the jada P1 SSFII NC characters to display misb and then im done.
>>11784414 tfw wanted Honda for so long >now I can finally buy him >decide to watch a review before sending the order out >he can barely move >not possible to do most Sumo poses I never wanted him anyway.
Now that all the SF II figures have been revealed, how do you think they will sell Shin Akuma? Just another Basic figure release, a store exclusive, or con exclusive?
>>11807109 >Now that all the SF II figures have been revealed I'm still hoping JADA does the unthinkable and gives us an exclusive Random Select figure. I mean it's on the box lineup afterall.
>>11807109 I prefer no exclusives. Release all the headsculpts and effects in one figure. Let the hardcore fans deal with repainting/customizing their own favorite colors.
