>>11794831 The first third of this thread is just going to be him reposting the same kid's toys that were spammed in the last thread. These types love repetition.
>>11794844 It's the latter. Pretty sure the guy hops from thread to thread causing mischief because he's lonely. He gave himself away when he tried to do it to the Marvel thread last week.
When do these go up? I was apprehensive before seeing these but they really aren’t bad for what they are. I’m convinced it’s one forever alone faggot sperging out about people wanting to by toys of all things on a toy board. We need IDs
The one who repeatedly, publicly announced he was "DONE" with McFarlane and "DONE" with DC General once his Chinese factory 'acquired' Starman was delivered
>>11795248 >>11795252 The Tim fig isn't bad, if this is the quality we're getting for $13 I might actually start collecting these. At the very least I'll be getting Superman, Flash and Green Lantern when they release. Unless Batman gets a more classic design I'll be skipping him.
"Just call it what it is--compulsively doing something to fill the sad, empty void that is his life." https://youtu.be/sb--BiQogQ8?si=BYs3TImu7gKlp16g&t=205
>>11795379 There’s three “hush” style Batman if that interests you. One outlined like rebirth and two with no outline around the bat. One has a gold belt and the other has a yellow belt.
I actually like the mattel figures, especially the two jokers >>11794807>>11794808 coming out but im not gonna get autistically mad if someone else doesnt like em. I collected todd slop too and some of it can be good sometimes but i still like the mattel figures. He one thing ill miss is the deep cut figures mcfarlane made cuz i know mattel will never get to most of those characters.
>>11795955 I really wish this kids line had single joint knees so they could have ankles instead as is they don't look bad but I'd probably not buy any to slot into a collection
>>11795963 This might be a 12 inch 3 pack based off of Batman and nightwing not having the standard articulation but at the same time you can see the cuts on man bat. Maybe it’s a stealth way to get a giant man bat into the core line. Probably just unfinished renders.
>>11796012 bro stop being a hater. we don't get enough pictures of barcodes here. honestly I'm hoping the next 200 posts are pictures of the same four toys from different angles
todd better go all in on the neal adams figure >>11796099 what even quantifies as spam to you? they're talking about a toy company. the banter barely even started and youre already throwing a tantrum
>>11796216 The only post I’m shitting on is my boyfriend’s. You’re doing nothing but complaining and it’s not even about toys it’s about people. Your bitching isn’t even on topic.
>>11796346 You are half-way through this garbage troll monstrosity - with all these spammed "DC Toys" (so that makes it a-okay!) Jarred probably already has some shitty image he's swiped from a shit post here all prepped and ready to start his NEXT troll thread
>>11796432 Make your own. This thread is so embarrassing. A grown man spent all day spamming children's toys with decal symbols and wireless capes. When Todd loses the license, he's all you'll have left to talk to.
Hellboy shipped yesterday. He was the last McFarlane I had on preorder. Maybe Witchblade, depending on the face sculpt. Only two months left to get out the final preorders for the year.
Everyone's wondering if Todd will announce a Phantom Lady in time.
>>11796523 Witchblade will cost lie $60. Who with any sense is prepared to spend that on a Todd figure? BBTS can't even clear out its stock of chases at $50.
>>11796851 My Walmart has three of those. Bloodwind, and the new Robin. I keep putting the only Starman in front of all that other crap but he keeps getting shuffled to the back by rummagers. I think the problem is the lack of wire in the capes, it just looks so bad and lazy.
Working on Stardust, Fantomah, and Lady Satan figures this weekend.
>>11796907 I picked up an issue of Freedom Fighters a while back and there's an ad on the back cover for a BB gun, and it's a picture of a kid in the back of a classroom with the text, "You'll have to get your grades up if you want to earn that gun!" The concept of a child bringing a weapon to school was inconceivable back then.
We've lost that fire, everything has guard rails to protect us from ourselves and it's lead to adults who behave like children, crippled by doubt and insecurity. Characters like Phantom Lady don't have an origin story, out of the gate she's blowing up Nazis and fighting crime. She's doing what she has to because no one else will.
What are some of the newer characters? Superman's gay son? Batman's autistic ninja son? Safespace and Snowflake from Marvel? There's a reason the modern comics industry can barely sell more than 10k copies a month, everything is weird and feels like the result of a hundred years of creative inbreeding.
Same reason I love the Starman series, it's a story with a purpose that transcends the medium. A man finding his potential and rising to the challenge, learning to believe in himself.
>>11796930 Sure, I was gonna post em on cults3D but honestly you can make the files for free. I tell Gemini to make a realistic picture based on three art samples, with a white background so the sculptor AI can define the silhouette easier. Then I make four turnaround images of the same pose at different angles. Then I go into Hitem, also free, and feed in the turnaround images. It gives you three free retries so then I take those files into blender and pick the best face, hands, cloak, whatever and build it into one master file.
Then if you have a printer you can make your own figures of obscure characters for about twenty five cents in resin. Whole process takes a couple hours. Lady Satan is printing right now
That's the whole process, all of it is free, now go make anyone you want. These same steps could be used for generating heads, torsos, hands, power effects, etc.
There is absolutely no reason to be hyping yourself for Mattel's baby toys when all of the resources for finishing Todd's work are free. This shit is the future. If Todd really wanted to break new ground he'd create a digital figure creator where you can buy and download the parts you make and they're all interchangeable, so effectively he could keep letting people buy DC figures even though he can't sell them. He'd just be selling files of action figure torsos and stuff.
>>11797075 Do you keep all your items just strewn about your house? So you have no concept of storage? I have tubs of figures that aren't regularly on display that I will pull out for pics and shit pretty regularly.
>>11796938 Looks good but idk, maybe it's too realistic for my tastes. I don't have a 3d printer nor do I know anyone that would be willing to allow me to use theirs. The files idea seems like a solid way for fans to customize their figures, if not build them from scratch altogether. The idea kinda makes me think of the homebrew and rom hacking scene for early video game systems.
>>11797096 >Not mentioning climate controls >Not mentioning uv filters >Not mentioning air quality controls Bro, why not just crap on your figures? It's obvious you treat them like shit.
>>11797103 Yeah, I get that it's still out of reach for a lot of people. It's far less esoteric than something like NFTs and costs less than a plushie to produce.
Something like digital flame effects that people could print in transparent green for Spawn or Green Lantern would be great, or weapons and hands packs. Or terrain, or I guess they're called prop accessories in this hobby.
>>11797153 Do you want one as a kid or as an adult? I made that Lady Satan from scratch, that's what I'm trying to say, you can make anything you can imagine.
There's a scan of every piece of the CE Wonder Woman for five bucks. All you'd have to do is create replacement parts for this rig and it's basically a blueprint for making your own McFarlane scale figures.
Endless possibilities.
>>11797207 Or there's this. Ew. It takes so little effort to make the symbol a sculpted feature. That decal shit is intentional laziness to optimize re-use.
I created this for you all. I doubt you'll enjoy or respect my efforts to express myself. As an American I respect your opinion and respect you for expressing them. I want to hug you all..
>>11797763 I wonder, What really even is the popularizing mechanism for Batman for kids today? It doesn't seem like there is any jumping on point with media like a cartoon or kid focused streaming series. If Batman TAS had never been made I would think there would be a lot less Batman collectors today. Yet now do they just expect kids to buy a toy of Batman vs some villain due to cultural osmosis without any narrative element?
>>11797806 I know, but unless it's hyped and "new" the average person is not going to care. Kids could all go back and stream old Scooby Doo cartoons but largely they just aren't going to, because it looks "old" and "weird" compared to their slick, heavily marketed modern shows.
>>11797790 My nephew likes some Spider-Man cartoon that's on right now and I guess they have Marvel characters in it so he likes some of them. There's that Marvel Rivals game I guess people who like staring at screens and pressing buttons have fun with. I'm not really sure what DC is doing to bring in new fans. I grew up with the Batman and Superman animated series and talking to people who are only like three years younger, they missed that whole era and are only familiar with the Nolan trilogy. One buddy says he's a Batman fan and collects batarangs but doesn't know who Frank Miller or Denny O'Neil are, or who Jean Paul Valley is so I think the whole Batman franchise is pretty much propped up on a 20 year old trilogy.
>>11797893 I’m 36 with 3 kids you forever alone faggot. I grew up playing with toys. We are on /toy/ the only difference between a toy and an “adult collectible” is the price tag. Dumb fucking goy.
Just ate a bucket of mac n cheese with jalapeno hot dogs buried at the bottom. Just sitting here on the couch farting louder than fireworks and appreciating my collection. I don't need to disrespect the shelves with baby toy clutter from Mattel.
Never really collected DC stuff but loved the Arkham games a recently saw some kind of set of higher-end figures of each of the games' main Batmans? Anyone know what I saw, what availability is like (bonus points for UK) and what they should be going for nowadays?
>>11798382 I have no idea who it was. It was of that Marvel Legends/Star Wars Black mass-retail-but-good-quality level of collectible, and I assumed it was a collection of existing figures together.
>>11798621 Nah, Star Wars is gay as shit now. I like picking up clearance figures for cheap and kitbashing and customizing them but following livestreams or caring about new Star Wars shit in 2026 is a level of autism on par with liking MOTU or Sonic shit. Right now Hellboy is the only figure I'm waiting for, then after he arrives I think I can call the collection complete and phase out of this hobby entirely. Can't imagine being as deep in the shit as you and getting triggered by a Star Wars thread on a toy board on a Tuesday afternoon. Your life must be so fucking miserable, pathetic bitch.
>>11799275 Just buy what you can before world ends man. Anything. Every Batman. Buy it all. McFalrane Mattle and Hasorb. Bombs fall, die playing with your toys.
Just got MAFEX Bane (Big Guy version) back into the collection. Never really properly enjoyed him before and now... Gosh, he's not as good as I remember. I'm gonna have to get him a soft goods coat at the very least.
InArt's Dark Knight so thoroughly blows a lot of other takes on the character out of the water. I hope they eventually tackle other live action looks in this scale with this level of detail. I hear the Hathaway Catwoman is luscious, but I just can't abide the impossible stiletto heels.
>>11799643 I've been on this ride for a while. My first Dark Knight figure was the Revoltech. I've seen the gamut at this point.
I think I'll try to get that Mezco Joker, if a preorder opens up literally anywhere in the world. I used to have the MAFEX Joker but not only do I find the jacket disappointing but there's a trillion knockoffs out there now making it impossible to find a legit one. Rebuilding a collection sucks.
>wake up >remember DC figures are going to look like Masters of the Universe slop soon
Do you go to regular rehab for toy addiction or are there special places so you aren't talking about your disposable income with a room full of junkies? I would like to get out from under this before Mattel's figures hit shelves. It's not that I'm afraid of buying them, I'm afraid I'll still lurk here and have to skim over hundreds of posts about baby toys in the hopes of seeing news about one decent new release, and I don't want to pointlessly waste my time doing that.
>>11799695 Why are you lil guys so fucking over dramatic about everything? Are you that bored? Just don't buy it and move on if you don't like it. That's what I did with McFarlane and I didn't spend every day making weird, ChatGPT tier monologues about who even knows what you're whining about.
>>11799695 Idk dude, just leave. That's working for me, it's kinda lame right now since y'know, no goofing around anymore but I really did just say fuck DC Gen and toy and 4chan. I'm still looking at threads obviously but habits are hard to break. Once you're ready to quit collecting or at least ready to cut back a whole lot then you'll know what to do.
>>11799121 >do you want her good looking or faithful? Thank God they went with good looking >>11799123 Lobo looks good both here and in the trailer, the only thing I dislike is how the marks around his eyes look like makeup instead of his natural skin.
Todd should really consider just how many indie comics have cult followings and crank out a few niche figures. Cheap licensing fees, practically guaranteed sell throughs for most figures and it gives McFarlane Toys an angle by making characters no one really knows about. It'd be like fresh monkey fiction but y'know, bigger and better in some ways. Who needs Phantom Lady when you've got the Fem Force?
I take HUGE cock up my ass regularly and still I’m not as gay as VF constantly online shitting up the board being a fucking faggot. It’s so bad now he doesn’t even post his gay fucking display instead he’s spamming fucking 3d printed statues. That’s on not of him cutting his trip off and samefagging. The trip needs to be permbanned but the mods won’t do that because they’re either too much of a fucking bitch to or VF is a mod. I just want to talk about toys without that dumb piece of shit derailing a thread or making a troll thread. Do your fucking job MODS.
>>11800591 It's depicting Hal in his modern era costume where the green stops at the belt line and extends to his shoulders. His more classic look has the green going all the way around the crotch and ass and in even earlier depictions has the green stop before his shoulders. He doesn't get that modern costume until her returned from the dead which is when the yellow weakness was also removed.
>>11800712 It's a tiein for the new Batman movie where Hal shows up to help defeat Freeze. None of the Gunn era heroes are able to do anything without Lanterns helping them.
>>11800053 My dad gave me a bunch of Bolt Action minis over the weekend so I have about 60 Nazis to use in a tabletop game with a bunch of public domain heroes like that. It's first and foremost a Phantom Lady game but you can also play as Lady Satan or Stardust, and golden age versions of Superman and Batman.
It's kinda weird how there are tons of action figures of WW2 era heroes but nobody for them to fight.
>>11800749 Tamiya has a broader range of eras but I doubt they are compatible with this game or it's rules. I can build them but I can't paint them... >>11800763 Finally, a super friend who would be my friend. It's funny i was wondering why Todd hadn't made a Vulcan yet
>>11801880 I'd give the bane three pack a chance. I'm not getting the rationale behind these selections but at least Nightwing is involved with Batman. Did Nightwing ever interact with bane outside of when he filled in the suit for Bruce wayne?
>A new era of DC Comics figures begins this coming Sunday (5/31) with the launch of Mattel's new line of DC Core products which will be available online and at physical stores. >We will see the first round of 6.5" figures which should include the likes of Robin, Joker, Batman, and Flash. We will see deluxe figures along with a new line of Bat-Link vehicles that include a new Batmobile and Robin with Cycle. We will see various 12" figures and more. >These are all part of the first stage of Mattel's recapture of the DC toy license from Spin Master with the more kids oriented stuff that is going to be priced around $12.99 each for a single 6.5" core figure. >Then in the beginning of 2027 Mattel will be launching their new "Collector" 6.5" oriented figures after McFarlane Toys ends their run with the license this year. >You will find these new Mattel DC Core figures at physical stores like Walmart and Target. Some Targets have already started getting them in stock with a sale date of this Sunday.
>>11802450 Now you'll have to pay for Mattel's at a hefty mark up. No more $20 figures. Only $27 if that, and probably more because of licensing overhead that MOTU doesn't have.
>>11802470 The dc license isn’t that expensive man. Todd overpaid toy take it off Mattel’s hands because they didn’t want it last time. Mattel was pretty much handed it back because Warner wants cheap kids toys everywhere something that Todd couldn’t do. Fucking doom and gloom faggot.
>>11802305 I'd be ok with $60 for a Faust figure. Or idk a Razor figure or a Deadworld King Zombie. But these are just edgy pipe dreams with no real chance at being successful sellers.
here's a new so you can dump the same 100 pictures of the same 4 figures from the same angle in the same pose again you're welcome >>11803164 >>11803164 >>11803164
>>11803198 you are posting in THE fake thread, created by the OG Fake Thread creature creator of all time on /toys/ and complaining about either a Jarred created fake thread or another patio dweller creating another Jarred-style fake thread?
>>11801610 >>11801315 >>11801311 >>11801309 Why anyone gives a fuck about psychotic murder bitch clown girl but I guess if the Menedez Brothers can find stupid jailhouse wives, there are boys too stupid and too afraid of actual living pussy who will settle for any toys of a murder clown since they won't admit they actually want to fap it to joker
