Teaser image for the upcoming Reinforcement wave. Nothing really to see here and honestly, I think I would've preferred they did it the same way as the previous Reinforcements where they teased new figures over the week leading up to an in-stock sale for em. Hopefully the offerings are done in a similar manner, where they're mostly new figures with any reissues getting new, updated accessories. I also *really* hope we get some new 2.0 body Legion Builders as we have *never* gotten a new 2.0 Legion Builder outside of the initial AoD wave. The new build is too nice for as infrequently it's been used, and I still think it's an absolute crime they didn't use that build for their Skeleton Thief in the RPG line.

>>11796221
Moar Boarriors, Gnoles and Woodland Goblins. A Snakeman army builder would also be cool, but I doubt they'd go there.
>>11796232
It's super tempting, though I know it won't fit with Legions figures. But $100+ for any mount is a bit of an ask, over $200 if you want his intended rider.
Elden Ring is a good game though, only thing I wish it has was a full time co-op mode instead of the temp sessions stuff it currently uses. PC version has mods that can do that, but consoles don't get access to mods.

>>11796314
Previous reinforcements were only up on 4H's site, but they were also in stock items and weren't something you could pre-order. Initially they were going to be "evergreen" figures, always in stock, but they dropped that plan quick and the figures moved real fast.
The first wave was all straight reissues but second wave was a mix of updated reissues with new alt heads and brand new army builders, along with the Silverhorn Sentry who was a popular army builder but a full priced figure. This wave was also launched as an instock sale. They made way more of these guys and some are still in stock now.
But being pre-orders, these guys might show up on retailer sites. They'll certainly be more expensive, but it's nice to have options of where to buy. But I do enjoy the in stock options, it was nice being able to throw army builders in with the random drops they like to add to their shop.

We got the first follow up to that line revealed at Wonderfest by Fury Toys I think it was, the mythic gods line, one of the main things that got me excited from that festival. Freya, Athena and Cleo are the ones they initially teased, I think they mentioned Zeus, Hercules and Ares as a later wave. Anyway, here is a prototype of their Athena body, which looks awesome.
Going back to the Mezco Conan discussion in the last thread, I am really curious to see the size of these Arnie ones, it's the reason I didn't order the warpaint version, if he's a small boy like the Frazetta ones then none of them will work for me unfortunately. When one of yours gets yours, could you do a size comp with the Frazetta Girls one please?

Yeah, one of the good things about god figures, kind of any scale (unless tiny) can easily make sense. Quite excited about this line, the Freya they showed off originally looked sweet, but this one interests me even more. We have so many good blanks and female base bodies atm, but not many if any have that athletic, superhero like figure. This one will be great for so many different barbarian customs. POK joints becoming the standard out of China is cool as well, lets hope there is no hidden long term catch we haven't discovered with them yet.
Also, I know some of you liked the upcoming Vampire Hunter D figure, looks like the designer is doing another similar style one in that 1992 Dracula film.

Yeah, parallels to Eiko Ishioka's armor design are what have my interest.

Man, that Pirate Kickstarter just does NOT want to cross the finish line. I know it'll eventually meet it's goal and might even hit a stretch goal or two, but it is just crawling along right now.
I plan to hop in on it myself, I just can't decide which crew set to get. If I get the humans I could mix them with my Legions pirates to form a decently large crew with a mix of men and fishmen. But skeletons are Skeletons, and Pirate Skeletons are even more Skeletons.
And pic related is current crew. Qoi is obvious, but I stole the extra shirt from Blackstone Conan and threw it on a silver gladiator and got instant sailor. Gave him weapons that could work as tools and now he's he crew's shipwright.
>>
>>11799255
>Man, that Pirate Kickstarter just does NOT want to cross the finish line.
Having met them at two shows, they are fucking terrible about pitching product. They revolved around "4 Horsemen sculpted these!" constantly and less "Here's why these are cool and you should consider getting some." It turned me off from backing it at all. They spent more time pitching some boring tier stands already made and for sale, too. Also you really shouldn't talk badly of other product lines. It reflects poorly upon you and your product.

Hopdo unveiled this today. Their first goblin was pretty damn good. Not sure I care about a pirate variant, but it seems it could be of interest to you.

File: RamenBarb.png (315.8 KB)
While I'm posting junk, Ramen Toys has apparently thrown their hat in the ring with Ceaseman. Sounds like it's gonna be compatible with Mattel MotU Masterverse gear. I think they were going for HHH, but he sure as hell looks more like Randy West.
>>
>>
>>11799329
Seeing how poorly the Kickstarter is set up, I can see that. It's a cool toy and concept, but they absolutely suck at the marketing aspect. Even straight up admitting they're only doing pirates because no one else has done pirates is them basically saying "We don't care what we make as long as we make something". It doesn't feel like they actually care about their figures at all, they're just figures sculpted by someone else they can make a profit on.
Say what you will about the 4H and some of their decisions, but they show a genuine love of what they make and some of their designs go back as far as their own childhoods. They *care* about making these toys and these characters and it always shows in their work.
>>11799488
This is from the same line as that rape goblin right? He was cool in concept, but there was just something too human about his standard face that felt creepy in all the wrong ways. This pirate goblin looks like it may be way more interesting though, and he's certainly way less creepy.
>>11799490
.....I don't get it. This is just a knock off body for He-Man customs? I mean, cool and all but I'm happy with my Masterverse 40th. Unless they give him some actual unique personality, I don' think I'd pick it up for myself, especially with how flat that chest is. I do find it funny so many companies are making their own Knock-Off He-Mans though and that they're all generic looking blond barbarians with a big sword.
>>
>>
>>11799976
>but maybe it does something others don't.
Na, this is mostly the same figure he pitched Mattel at the He-Man show last year. He wanted the license and for some reason continued forward even after they said no thanks. Just like Bad to the Bone dragging out for a couple of years yet the price killed it easily because costs have gone up.
The Sewer set might be the best thing he ever does and when it runs again as a repaint it'll cost almost double for whatever the pitch is. The van nearly doubled for the upgrades. Same for the car which came with a new Road Warrior gear set, but cost more than the first version with both upgrade kits. $40-50 for a single upgrade kit of armor around the windows wasn't going to fly

Nice. I need to see prices (hopefully they wont go full retard, because they look fantastic), but I'm initially interested in the deluxe for the alt heads.
The resurrection effect being included is fun.
Maybe controversial take, but I like that they have redesigned the troops instead of recreating the look of the low-resolution pre-rendered sprites. They looked good and were easily readable on screen, but I appreciate the more detailed and less cartoony designs of these figures.

Pre-orders are up on Bombusbee already, but no full price/price estimate yet. The deposits are quite high though at $15 and $20, so I'm guessing they are going to be quite pricey unfortunately. Hopefully not.
>>11799488
There is also a chef goblin heh.
>>
>>11800498
That's always the problem with Goblin figures like this, they cost absurd amounts so you really can't build a horde of em. I need some western company to make decent yet cheap little green grubbins I can buy for clearance prices at the store because no one actually buys fantasy figures irl (RIP D&D Toylines).
Also, Reinforcement wave 3 reveals and pre-order tomorrow, anyone else excited? I'm hoping they try to stick to a sub-$30 price point and actually use newer builds this time around. I need like a dozen of them new 2.0 bodies so I can finally get myself some decent rogues in this line.

Have I already pre-ordered this set as soon as it became available? Yes, yes I have.
I don't know why, I'm honestly not even a big fan of the whole barbarian aesthetic, but when they drop a new Conan I'm in day one.
>>11801792
That's actually pretty disappointing, the Mezco Conan was already on the smaller end of the scale, especially compared to all the current releases. Going smaller for Arnie just seems wrong.
Also, the 4H "Live" stream for the new wave just started, will have news about what's revealed as it comes up but pics will probably be on a bit of a delay.

First up is a Legion Builder version of the Valiant Knight featuring a new faceplate for the visored helmet. Standard sword and shield, but the shield has the new arm brace as well.
The figure is paint matched to the original Valiant Knight, but won't have all the details and buckles painted. But still, a good, cheaper way to get a very popular, very simple knight build.

.....and Add-On Tunics based on each faction.
Each set is $20 a pop and comes with tunic, skirt and matching shield. Neat idea, maybe I'll get a lion one but otherwise I'm current saving a lot of money on this "wave". They better have some cool and new coming up because the Valiant Knight build, as great as it is, isn't exactly the most exciting set right now.
.....and honestly, I'm not even a fan of the idea that each faction just has straight up "knights". Especially the Bassylia faction which is supposed to be all about Wizards and junk.

AND it's a skeleton.
Skeleton Legion Builder 3 is the same color as Skeleton Legion Builder 2, which is a different color then all other skeletons released in the line....but it's still a cheapish skeleton so who really cares?
$30 for this, comes with new weapons at least so that's cool, I like they kept all the arrows from that shield piece so you can have some fun with em.
Stay tuned for the prerequisite Add Ons sets.

And Vampire builder Add On kit, featuring "new" heads (they're just repaints), soft goods, a tiny sword and a new bird! This one is similar to the RPG wave bird as it can fit on either gauntlet with being molded to it. The bird is also painted to match the real life Vampire FInch, a bird who drinks blood!
$20 for this set and probably the first Add-On I'll actually pick up.

And there goes my budget!
The final Full Figure reveal for this wave is the new Rat Man race, the Bilge!
Using one of the newest body types in the line, the Gnole build, this figure featured out tons of new points articulation in butterfly shoulders, double jointed elbows, bicep swivels and a full bendy tail.
$30 for this figure, like all previous LBs revealed, includes sword and scabbard as well as a bone knife.

And the add on set for this one is actually pretty fantastic. The set is worth it for the sword alone as it's both pretty rarely used in the line yet also one of the best swords they've made so far. This set is pretty much a must have to build up your Rat King's army.

Deluxe figure with a $48 price point.

>>11802287
Definitely interested in test driving the new body, and at $30 that's quite the steal. If that neck piece is taken off I assume it'll fit a regular head, right? I'm curious how that will look, like with those masked Vampire heads, or maybe even the Turpeculi head. It actually kind of feels like with the neck piece that the figure ends up a bit disproportionate. Maybe better to wait for more, because I'd probably tempted to make this thing some Skeleton hybrid with the bone tail, but no easy way to skeletonize those legs aside from just those feet or the whole legs.

Deluxe Freakin Barbarian Builder Set 2. The King has returned and it's never looked better. Almost everything in this set is from newly tooled and released parts, the armor is colored to be similar to the original Barbarian set but the skin is color matched to the Legendary Barbarian. Also, that is in fact a new head in the set, first revealed in the RPG wave Barbarian Builder Add-On but with a different helmet.
This figure will be a $60 release, which is only $10 more then the original which was released a decade ago. But man, everything about this figure looks so much nicer then that older build, and the new limbs and torso actually provide an improved range of motion.
Also, his giant axe is actually useful and won't destroy your figure's hands!
>>
>>11802321
It's the same set up used on the Mouse King, so if you look up some reviews of that figure they should give you a good idea of how it looks. But yes, there is a normal neck balljoint under the large neck piece so you can use normal 1.0 heads.

........those clever bastards.
The final release of the night is the Legendary Add On kit! For those who couldn't get their hands on last year's Legendary Barbarian touring figure, this set can turn the Barbarian Builder 2 into an almost exact build of that Barbarian build! It features the same boots, and bare forearms, with skin colored matched to both Barbarians. It also features the Legendary Barbarian headsculpt and full hair options, but on top of that, the helmet from the Builder set can actually fit on the Legendary head as well (and the hair vice versa).
This set is $20 like all other sets. Meaning if you want to approximate a Legendary Barbarian of your own, you'll be dropping $80....which is way cheaper then secondary market stuff and comes with a TON more gear.
>>

And one final surprise for the night, a brand new Cosmic Legions figure!
But even more surprising, this one will be in hand, in stock and ready for sale for anyone going to Monsterpalooza this weekend. So probably nobody from this thread will be getting him, but he'll have an online release later this year.
From what I've seen he's a mismash of some older standard Cosmic parts with limbs from those mounts they dropped in the OxKrewe wave. Kind of cool and unique....but not interesting enough for me to care about it.
But yea, the Reinforcement wave stuff is certainly a thing. It's great for new comers who haven't experienced some of these figures, or people who've been collecting the past few years but want cheap army builders. Plenty of really cool releases and some things that are genuinely surprising, but it still feels a bit too....convoluted for my tastes. The ala cart add on system is kind of cool, but it means the wave just has less figures overall. Only four standard Legion Builder figures, one deluxe, a mount (for that flex slot they like to drop) and just a regular old homage figure that I kind of feel should've been it's own thing. I think there's more add-on sets then there are figures, and honestly some of these sets feel like they should've just been included.
Gonna be doing a lot of Mathing for this one, but at least we get time to figure things out since it's a pre-order and not a bloodbath sale.
>>
>>11802322
damn, that looks great! The original was my first ML, but some time ago I stopped displaying him, because space got too limited and he honestly didn't hold up great amongst the newer figures.

So, this is a regular wave that'll be available at retailers later, right?
Finally. I was looking for a convenient Valiant Knight option to buy. I'm probably buying three of them, an add-on pack and a tunic.
>>11802251
This is not the same color as the monster/animal head pack they released a while ago, is it? I have no interest in Mythic Legions skeletons in general because of the thick bones, but I might get one if I can put the orc skull on it.
No interest in the horse.
Not feeling the vampire at all. I think she/he looks very goofy with the plate armor and the mashed up pieces. The first vampire builder was stylish as fuck with the all black, all plate look.
No interest in the rat. I don't want to go in on every race they make, and I already have some gnolls preordered.
I think the fairy looks hilariously bad on many levels.
The barbarian is cool, but it doesn't feel all that attractive now that other brands are offering their own barbarians.
>>
>>11802304
Honestly, the more I look at this, the worse it gets.
If they respect their women and want to honor them or whatever, they should have used this occasion to sculpt a new female face and put their best work on it. Instead it looks like they chose the most tranny looking faces they had at hand. If I'm not mistaken, one is reused from an alien, and the other from a ghost.
The bra and corset don't match well.
Why the plate armor belt, forearms and shin guards, especially when she doesnt wear gloves or boots?
The weapon loadout seems completely random.
Also, I suppose she materializes her weapons from thin air since she has no gear. Ok, I guess, if that's the explanation.
Of course, the colors, they are simultaneously way too much matching and way too much mismatching.
The wings are not necessarily bad, but when the figure looks so bad, anything that adds to it's visual footprint becomes a negative.
It's like they did it as terrible as they were able to, as a joke.
>>
Now that the new reveal hype has gone down and I had some time to sleep it over, some thoughts:
I don't like the Knight. I mean, as a figure he's great, it's a good price for army building and the new face is cool, so on it's own there's nothing wrong with it. I just feel it, and all it's accessories are very overused right now. I also *really* don't like how it's intended to be the generic foot soldier for four of the five good guy armies. Maybe if the tunic sets included unique cloth goods, weapons and shields per faction it could've worked, but having them all get the same stuff is *super* lazy.
As for the Add-Ons in general...they are too expensive. $15 should've been the upper limit for these things, as of now they're 2/3rd the price of a figure with 1/3rd of the value.
The skeleton is cool, essentially a reissue, but the new weapons are nice. But then I realized the only part you need from him to make the Centaur are his biceps...and that irks me. They expect people to buy a full figure just for the arms to make something people have been wanting since the skeleton horse first showed up. They should've included full arms in the add on set so you wouldn't really need the main skeleton to build the centaur but could still use those parts to make different Turpiculi. Now this wouldn't even have been an issue if it was color matched to all the other skeletons instead of matching the original Skele LB2.
Vamp I like, it's the first new 2.0 build LB in the entire line since the AoD wave. I wish it used the cloth arms and new female chest as well, but it's nice you get male and female parts for this set. I even like the add on, it's a perfect amount of accessories to kit up two different Vamps.
>>
>>
>>
>>11802813
Oh, good point about the centaur skelly, that upgrade really should just come with upper arms.
The tunics I quite like, not necessarily for the knight himself, but just getting some tunics separately to put on other figures might be fun.
>>
>>11802251
>but it's still a cheapish skeleton so who really cares?
I do.
I have been wanting the Skeleton LB2 in the standard bone colorway to match the Necro/AS6 waves ever since getting the original release. I get that a big part of the reason they went with the colorway is so the horse is distinctly different from Conabus and everything is the same colorway in the wave to make the centaur, but fuck me.
Don't get me wrong, I am happy for everyone that missed out that now has a chance. In fact, you guys are lucky. You get the entire original figure with only accessory changes that are easily obtained (not that you'd want to since this one gets superior accessories), unlike anyone that missed the original Valiant Knight and gets a a completely different figure with less paint.
Honestly, I'm pretty mixed on the wave. The Bilge and the respective add-on pack are pretty much perfect. Vamp is ok, but the add-on pack feels a bit lacking. Barb is a great update, and the add-on pack to make a Legendary Barbarian is a great idea.
The Valiant Knight is ok, but I would have preferred if they kept the original breastplate to differentiate it from the Silver Knight 2, and included the original shield in the add-on pack. Also the lack of painted details when these are now $30 feels a bit stingy, especially when you look at the Vamp, or compare it to the RPG figures.
And I agree with >>11802813 for the most part.
$20 is a bit much for an add-on pack and they should have been $15, but $20 for a tunic and a shield is really shit. Even if they were $15, they really should have included a couple of weapons. Hammer/mace in the Eathyron pack, Elven weapons in the Xylona pack etc.
And aside from my personal issue with the Skeleton colorway, not including the biceps in the Skeleton add-on pack is bullshit.
I'm still crunching the numbers on what to get, but it feels like it will be less than the last Reinforcements wave.

The sold out LEs didn't even appear in the results when I made that post. I just tried again, and only the Archdevil LE came up. I had to specifically search for Archangel to see the listing for that LE. Bombusbee's search is a bit broken.

After all this waiting I'm going to be pissed if it sells out in a super small window. After shipping and tax, this will be my most expensive standard sized non-import, but it looks good and probably the only Elric we're getting anytime soon.

>I have been wanting the Skeleton LB2 in the standard bone colorway to match the Necro/AS6 waves ever since getting the original release.
Honestly, everything about that original Skeleton LB2 release was kind of awful. From it's very limited run, to it's color choice to even the boring weapons it came with, they could've done way better with that figure. Those are the only skeletons in my horde, other then Keltus and friends, who's bone colors don't at least sort of match each other. I was planning on just stealing the biceps from one of the two I already have to make my Centaur, but I may just steal bones from someone else who will look good with armored limbs instead and just not care things don't match.
>they really should have included a couple of weapons. Hammer/mace in the Eathyron pack, Elven weapons in the Xylona pack etc.
Yea, it would've gone a long way to make those tunic sets feel more faction specific if they included weapons and shield unique to each faction.
But yea, the more I think about this wave the more I pull out of my cart. But I can't say it's not tempting to buy more knights and skeletons...but I *really* don't need more of them.

I got my first Inart, Catwoman, the other day and I am in love with it, especially how the joints feel. It's my first POK jointed figure and I was wondering if Elric has the same high quality feel to his joints? All of hers are that perfect balance of buttery smooth, but with a nice level of resistance so they aren't even remotely loose. Curious to any Elric owners as he also has POK joints, is that just the nature of that material or is it just because Inart are the God tier figure makers?

NTA, but the outward ratchets on the shoulders, specifically the left shoulder on mine, are so strong that the arms flex before it actually moves. I've already given him a couple of hot baths, and they're the only joints that don't move like a dream. It's really limiting my enjoyment of the guy, which is too bad, because he's outstanding otherwise.

It's a Black Dragon from Heroes of Might and Magic III, like the Archangel and the Archdevil, for a later wave.
From what was shown in last year's Shanghai Wonfest, it seems to be the same size as the other creatures, which is accurately inaccurate and kind of lame, cause Dragons, Titans, are supposed to be huge even though they have normal size in the tactical grid ingame.

I want someone to suffer for this and I want it now. I'm hoping BBTS' stock comes through but something tells me I'll see it go from "Pre-Order Sold Out" to "Sold Out". Actually quite pissed at this more than I should be but fuck man.

I dunno if this helps or not, but since this line started most of their figures have been "Sold out" at one point or another, but they always seems to come back eventually. Like all of their barbarians sold out super fast in their in stock sale, and that Albino Lizard con exclusive was gone in minutes when it first hit online stores. I feel these guys are far more willing to re-run figures then people like the 4H because even their different Slate and the cheaper green Lizard man all got re-stocked despite them being instant sell outs many times over.
tl:dr - These figures always sell out and they always come back. Hopefully Elric makes a return for those that want him.
....but man, am I glad I pre-ordered Death Dealer now.
>>
>>11811346
They actually specifically said they're not doing ANY reissues. That of course doesn't remove the possibility of variants of sorts, like the Shadow Slate, but I think Elric is done, at least this version.
The wave 2 humans actually sold out at first then came back because the second part of the shipment was delayed, or something like that.
If anyone really wants Elric, I'd get him asap from overseas sellers before he balloons in price even further. Krieger must have had a small run cause he's also one of the pricier ones at the moment.
>>
>>11811346
>tl:dr - These figures always sell out and they always come back. Hopefully Elric makes a return for those that want him.
Oh, they may decide to go back and re-run him after this but their original email and public statements for tonight was this:
>And for those who venture deeper into the Crucible, additional treasures await. Select in-stock items from the vault will also be available while supplies last.
>To give collectors a fair chance at securing one of the most anticipated releases in Savage Crucible history, Elric of Melniboné is limited to ONE per customer/address during the first 24 hours. Brynyar and Naraka have no purchase limits.
>At Savage Crucible, we do not forge reissues.
>Once these figures disappear into collections, they do not return.
>Enter the Crucible while supplies last.
That's why people are laying in to them right now as they are quiet.
>>
>>11811355
>If anyone really wants Elric, I'd get him asap from overseas sellers before he balloons in price even further.
Might be a smart move. I'm interested to see if one of the Chinese eBay sellers parts him out like they've done with some other SC figures.
>>11811358
>Elric of Melniboné is limited to ONE per customer/address during the first 24 hours.
Lol, he lasted 45 seconds.
>That's why people are laying in to them right now as they are quiet.
Kind of deserve it.
>>
>>
>>11811355
Oh well that sucks then, I guess they do work just like the 4h. I do know they mentioned doing different versions of Elric though, but that's not the same as a re-run, especially if you want him in the cool black armor.
>>11811358
>>11811360
I never got this idea, it just seems like a way to leave money on the table. Why not do at least one more pre-order run, since now that he's out in hand demand for the figure will sky rocket. People will know how good he is and word of mouth among collectors will cause demand for it to rise. Seems like a good way to get more revenue out of already existing molds.
>>
The only things I really want from SC are the lizards for jobbers, but with $45 minimum shipping I never pull the trigger, it's just too much for some goons. I will hold out until some Chinese company does cool lizard men or something.
>>
>>11811381
I never understand it either. I get sometimes it can slow down your production plan because you're putting the factory to work on reissues, but at this point you know it's a safe bet and it will have such a positive effect on your customers. I guess scarcity goes hand in hand with "collecting" though, as much as I personally despise it, I wish shit were just always available for everyone.

This is what pisses me off the most. Even if you were there at 9:00 sharp despite them saying 9-10, most of us went in with the expectation they set that he'd last for a bit. Basically if you weren't 100% locked in or tried to grab something else to make shipping more worth it you got fucked.

You can wait a bit if you like, but if you just want to secure it go for it.
Surprised it lasted as little as it did especially when they estimated some hours. Good for Elric and Moorcock though, this will probably add to the faith they had in those characters and maybe theyll work on more than just the 3. More Eternal Champions, more variants of characters, maybe companions and antagonists. Ariok??

Casual here who missed out on the original Legendary figure. Does anyone know if these Builder Set's will be available for pre-order at other retailers or are they only available directly from Store Horsemen? As a Canuk I'd rather avoid the border penalty tax if i can, but the usual stores that carry Mythic Legions up here have nothing listed yet. Great of the 4H to give fans who missed out a way to still buy this figure, and with upgrades, that helmet is awesome!
>>
>>
>>11811618
Retailers usually don't get to put them up for preorder until after the preorder at Store Horsemen is over. They usually state on their socials whether something will exclusive to their store. Reading their Facebook post from after the wave reveal, they do mention the retail price for the whole wave, so I assume they should appear at the usual places.

Lava was like 60% pull rate. The ice and pale ones were 20%. The last one had a pull rate of 2%

All things being equal, you buy it and you just overpaid a bit. If they really stick to their word and refrain from rereleases the secondary market prices is only get worse.
