>>11779486 This is just Nintendo showing off how next-gen they are, but they are really just behind the times and creatively bankrupt. I'd rather have toys of their Smash designs
>>11797445 >>11797469 >>11797470 >>11797472 Y'know, I like her Calico colors a lot more in this version; I think it was just the green and beige of her previous outfit that really clashed with her orange and cream coloration and made her look unappealing.
>>11797470 Dang, looks like they might have ditched the way the previous Tonia was able to look up so far, still guessing we'll be getting pre-order soon if they're showing off her colored
>>11797469 We have sexy Liya coming out soon, hopefully, I wonder how soon they'll put up that sword warrior look then? I guess Tonia just released so they don't seem to be worried about stepping on their own toes with releases.
>>11798276 I suspect Spring Liya will drop around late June to July and mouse in October-December range. So far there was like 2-3 month gap between each release, but it's not like it's a rigid schedule they must follow, they could start releasing stuff with much quicker pace. Is there any chance they could stall Spring Festival Liya until it's closer to next Chinese New Year, as it would be themathically appropriate?
>>11797920 >wig-like human hair on an anthro >Disgusting I agree. always found weird when already furry character has "human hair growing for their head". This is so weird and a little gross. Like there is a cat/canine fur...and SUDDENLY human hair starts growing. ewww...
>>11798500 It's not so bad when the hair color matches the fur color or at least close enough to it, but Tonya's hair color contrasts heavily with her coat. And this ninja hairdo style looks especially janky on a furry head since the hair strands are passing through the ears instead of around them. Liya and the mouse have human hair too but it looks so much better.
>>11799064 Oh they've been branching out. There's some barbarians/Conan-esque figures. There's the fish guys coming out soon, snake guys in wave 4, other knights and critters...
>>11799002 >>11799003 If the Blokees can sit down and spread all fours like he's jumping in mid air it'll legit be the best Jeff option, so hopefully he'll articulate well enough.
30MM just put up preorders for these - they're robo wolves, but they're modular and are designed for cross-compatibility with other sets. Might be possible to combine them with, asy, the 30MF knights to make cyber wolfmen.
>>11800470 Speaking of 30MF, there's also a more organic wolf that went up for order on their line - I guess wolves are the "in" thing right now. Also, a reminder that they put a dragon up a little while back.
>>11800471 >dragon Wyvern. I do feel like things will head in the direction of a large dragon, probably the size of something like the FRSA Yugioh Egyptian God kits.
>>11800516 Yeah, shitsux. Her Command design wasn't good either but we went from best Katt in Zero to worst one just like that. I shudder to think what they would have done to Krystal in this universe.
>>11800606 I know I'm in the minority but I don't hate the new Katt. She's not a femme fatale anymore but I still think there's some cuteness there. Maybe they didn't want her to look too much like Krystal whenever she rolls around?
>>11800664 Well I'm not into hookers. I just think she looks like a rough around the edges female pilot. Which I can understand not liking it because the original wasn't like that. I just don't hate it in of itself.
>>11800994 >We definitely got a lot of stuff when the first movie came out.
Not as much as you'd think. Tomy did a very nice job on the toys all things considered, but it was a pretty basic set of figures and then repaints and the like. I still wish wave 2 had come out.
Disney didn't expect the movie to blow up like it did. Supposedly they were having panic meetings to start merchandising it better. Who knows how long it takes for those wheels to turn. There's the Gong studios Nick and Judy that're up for pre-order at least...and a few other things from overseas. Japan seemed to get more than we did. Again.
>>11801963 Real elephants aren't usually fat, though. You can literally see the shapes of the muscles under the skin; it's only captive elephants that tend to get pot-bellied.
>>11801963 In the story it's from, the Yag-Kosha has been held captive for who knows how long and is literally dying and wasting away. If anything that slender toned body is too sculpted, he should have been more emaciated.
Still a cool set though, already getting mine as I'm a huge Conan fan.
I still think he's fuggo, but Walmart had Mane Attraction and the other Goat figures for $3 in the clearance section. Picked him up, already got Jet and Will.
>>11800632 >Maybe they didn't want her to look too much like Krystal whenever she rolls around? Dude it's going to be one game and then 10 years until the next Star Fox 64 remake
>>11803301 There's likely going to be a Star Fox movie. I wouldn't be surprised if a new game came out to coincide with it. The remake coming out after his role in Galaxy wasn't a coincidence.
>>11803479 My read is that Fox was shoehorned into Galaxy (where he didn't belong) to promote the remake. Likewise, the new Yoshi game that just came out was also arranged to tie into the movie's release window. That's not really an indication of a standalone SF movie happening in the future, they're just trying to get as much promotional mileage they can out of the Galaxy flick.
>>11803484 Yeah but Fox was well received as far as I can tell. He was likeable, fun, and for degenerates his black lips looked like slutty lipstick. I agree he felt out of place, but I'd be lying if I said he wasn't one of the best parts of the movie. Not saying it's likely, just that I could see an SF movie increasing interest in the brand and getting a genuine sequel made.
At the very least I just want figures of the Galaxy movie designs. I don't even hate the new ones, but if I buy Star Fox figures I want them more akin to their original look.
>>11803484 >where he didn't belong Fox was the break out character of Galaxy and it pains me that Nintendo will do nothing to capitalise on this >But the new Switch game Great, another Starfox remake! Then what?
>>11803781 Yeah, I'm not seeing it. We can argue all day that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the fact remains that that is absolutely NOT Katt. She was never supposed to look like some flea-bitten, dirty, STD-ridden hooker. Maybe you're into that, but the look very much doesn't fit the character as she was originally portrayed.
>>11804412 >And will be going forward. Not if there's a negative enough response to the redesign, it won't be. You've seen it yourself - designs change often, sometimes from one game to the next. I wouldn't be surprised if they scrapped that one and went for something closer to her old look again next time, since MOST people said she looked like shit there.>>11804412
>>11804417 Well good news, there isn't a negative enough response to the redesign. People actually really like it. Nearly everyone, actually likes it. Sorry your pink princess got rightfully tossed.
>>11804528 >People actually really like it. Nearly everyone, actually likes it. Not really, no. As far as I've seen, people are still pretty evenly divided on her looks. That's hardly "nearly everyone", as just as many people despise her new look as like it. Sorry your disease-infested cat isn't as universally liked as you want her to be - and it's very unlikely that opinion is going to change.
>>11803505 >He belonged just fine. In fact he's a highlight of the movie for everyone. It can't be denied that he was awesome in it. We just know he was only added for promo purposes, the same way The Wizard did what it did
>>11804968 Wanting the character to look the way I remember her looking when I first played the game as a kid makes me a "fake fan"? Hardly. But you keep telling yourself that.
>>11797123 the plushies are available in the EU Nintendo store now >>11804827 >We just know he was only added for promo purposes in an interview, Miyamoto said it was illumination who wanted to include fox in the movie and he had to ask the rest of Nintendo for permission. i can believe he was just a coincidence as there’s no synergy between the new game and the movie like there was with DK. Nintendo probably decided to reveal fox early because they wanted to create buzz for the new game, he was clearly supposed to be a surprise cameo.
Got this guy in the mail today. Like the Great Wolves he's based on the Van Helsing werewolf, aka the sexiest werewolf. He's smaller though, and proportionally more solid. The Great Wolves have all those joint issues, can barely stand up half the time. This guy, much better in that regard. Joints supple and sweet. He doesn't have the opening jaw, though, that's minus one star right off the top.
>>11809952 That's interesting to hear about the loose collector wolves. I had really thought about getting some but eventually passed on em as I'm pretty satisfied with my veteran williiams. The great wolves looked cool but I was wondering how'd they would hold up as the williams can be a bit tricky (all of mine have finicky knees though I've gotten a hang of them now).
>>11809954 >>11809988 Yeah kiloworg is just a black paint ver of the veteran william fig from maestro union. He comes with a minigun and arm blade thingy, pretty cool. I really wish I had more guns that fit them.
>>11811476 Probably just licensed it from maestro union I guess, I don't know enough about that kind of thing in the toy space. The problem with it is you look at kiloworg and think oh neat but then you look at the rest of monster force like pic related and go oh
>>11811239 >The great wolves looked cool but I was wondering how'd they would hold up I have heard people say that there's been a second run with a lot of improvement but I only have anonymous strangers as a source on that. Loose Collectors have been really pushing forward with their toyline ambitions, they've got a Sasquatch out now that's apparently pretty good, and they've got a dogman and a chupacabra coming that people are buzzing about
>>11811497 Yeah, i'd seen the dogman. It's a cool more out there idea but too lanky for my taste of furry fig. Personally I really really really wish maestro union would get past the orcs they've been doing and get back to making some figs they showed off.
>>11811502 he's not terrible but it just looks not nearly as good as the werewolf sculpt ...I was gonna crap on their other figures in the line for being pretty basic horror movie + gi joe but the zombie soldiers actually look pretty cool
>>11811476 >>11811490 They did license it from Maestro Union. Well, it was more of a collaboration since even the box and the included poster mention Maestro Union.
