>>11800172 yeah same. I just watched the first ep and am going to wait to watch the rest with my parents. I grew up watching TCM with them and I think they'll like it.
>>11800177 I enjoyed it. I started and stopped reading SM in the 90's dbut watched all the live action. There's blood, drugs, lots of asians. Lot's of action. I think Nic lives for these kind of roles. Watched it in black and white so not sure about colours and what not but the detail is great with certain characters. Lots of name dropping. Looks like possibly at least 6 well known big bads so far.
So iceman is out. Im on the fence. 12k yen is a lot of money for what it is. Especially when I already have the secret wars legends. Anybody getting? Think I may wait for a sale.
>>11800152 They didn't show any of it in the trailer as far as I could tell, but boneclaw Logan is number one with a bullet for me and has been since the end of S1. Just hoping the next two seasons after this are still good in spite of the original showrunner getting booted.
>>11800162 It's a look that animated Magneto has always worn well.
>>11800506 I got her for like $20 with a coupon. Worth it for that price imo. I wanna say she got discounted at one point too. You may be able to grab her for less than MSRP if you look.
>>11800521 my country doesn't do sales. MSRP is 30€ for basic marvel legends, sometimes thei raise the price for a bit only to claim XX% discount once they go back down to MSRP. >>11800578 >Storm is one of my favorite X-Men. Same and I like the black outfit more than the 97 white one. Do you know if they have a Rivals one in the pipe line?
>>11800583 I did not and that's cool. But when I say I want Boneclaw Wolverine, I mean I want the 90s ass bandana too. I think 97's take that look is great, adding the body armor and omitting the weird monkey face were good choices.
>>11800463 Doesn't seem worth it. I'm starting to come around to the Anthony perspective on mafex. Just seems like a very bare bones entry level import
>>11800463 Strictly Blue team, but I don't see Iceman not going on sale. Then again, they may have short-run him because of the accessories. >>11800599 I think he's just doing it for clicks at this point.
>>11800631 That's going to be entirely subjective to whomever is answering the question. Personally, in terms of overall quality, it might be ROM for me. Articulation works very well for the figure, the paint is well done, and it has all the accessories you could ask for. Alternatively, I do think the recent Born Again figures were extremely well done and feel a bit higher quality than the rest of the line to me.
>>11800463 Iceman's a character I was never going to pay current import prices for since it's such a simple design. Not a fan of how they did the joints either. I'll probably get the Secret Wars Legends soon and give him the Marvel Select's slide.
>>11800599 >barebones entry in imports compared to what anon? shf? realistically how many import brands are there that you can compare the same IP? It’s also a comic figure
>>11800463 I don't even know if I should keep my old legends iceman or the new 97 one as it is, the only Mafex's I have are Psylocke (which I also am considering dumping over the gamerverse legends one) and Magneto (who I wish was taller). Their Gambit looks pretty good but that's all I'd really consider at this point.
Got Crusher in, he's fun, but like everyone else said it would've been nice to have some swappable parts to make him look like he's you know, Absorbing something.
>>11800824 He does look good with Titania though, glad to have these two together. I always thought of them as the Bonnie and Clyde of the Marvel Universe.
>>11800776 SHF isn't always barebones, it's just usually a disaster with those ugly hip joints or poorly done engineering. Mafex tends to at least work, SHF tends to collapse.
>>11800463 Honestly, the Secret Wars one looks pretty good for a Legends. The clear plastic has me wary for how it'll hold up over the years, but I definitely like the way it looks.
>>11801030 Hasbro has done both the opaque and clear versions with the Secret Wars one that just came out. Take your pick for which you like better. I like both tbqh although the retro carded opaque one can kinda look like Silver Surfer a little.
>>11800148 So what is the consensus of this? I recently bought the older figure (with the Shadow King head) - did I fuck up? This looks worse but it could just be the pic.
>>11800506 Wait for a proper one with the right hairstyle and blacker suit. Im sure Hasbro is going to make one that's either a mainline non exclusive or a pack in.
>>11801211 So close to finishing this team. I rock the Select Colossus who's shirt is removable and gets him close enough imo to his Outback appearance.
>>11800597 >Boneclaw Wolverine, I mean I want the 90s ass bandana too. When they do end up making it, they better use the bulkier gamerverse body. But I still want the special mission ops Logan first. Preferrably on a retro card.
>>11801621 I can almost guarantee that they're planning on reusng the gamerverse body for boneclaws. It's literally perfect for it and you know how Hasbro loves to milk it's molds. I can't see that mold being a one time use.
>>11801674 Just throw one of the half dozen Jean heads you probably already have on the Moria body or you can use a GI Joe classified figure, I forget which, to make a decent custom.
>horrible ab crunch >leads to using an even worse waist swivel system still doing this in the big 2026, plus they couldn’t even paint hair on his body wtf are we doing hasbro
>>11801192 I'm in the same boat. Got him on sale from BBTS in March and just opened him a few weeks back. When the 97 version was first revealed I thought I might buy it and sell the comic version, but now that some time's passed I actually prefer the old one. The seat's not as wide and I like the hover effect better.
>>11801609 >I rock the Select Colossus who's shirt is removable I've had this figure for 14 years and am just finding out about this...
>>11801847 Pop his head off and his shirt comes off. The head is really hard to get on and off on mine, I have to use hot water to get it on and off, so I don't take the shirt off often, but it's supposed to come off.
>>11802412 Short answer the guy who played Bullseye refused to sign over his likeness rights to Disney for action figures and the Bullseye figure is a bastardized version of the comic Bullseye with an alt masked head he never wore in the comics but said masked head and Frankenstein costume looks just close enough to look like the D+ Bullseye to go alongside the BA Daredevil and Punisher
>>11802426 >figure is a bastardized version of the comic Bullseye with an alt masked head he never wore in the comics Technically it's based on this cover
I remember watching the 60s spidey cartoon at my grandma’s house every time I visited, I even have some of VHS lying around somewhere. When I saw hasblo’s attempt of the figure I was extremely disappointed, but expected. Shitty repaint on an awful proportioned body that’s inaccurate as fuck. Fuck you hasblo, truly the shittiest company to have the best Ip ever. FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU DIE DIE DIE
>>11803036 >>11803007 >>11803156 >>11803269 >Are average DC figures going to run taller The Core (kids like) are the same size at the MOTU kids line so were supposed to be 5.5, they might be 6.5, no clue what this is showing us >>11803003 - an early Canadian or other country release, a street dated toy that was put out early since that's been reported at a few Wally's and Targets, or what
But the collector's version of the movie MOTU He Man is definitely taller than the kids $10 and the collectible version sold for $20, which is why I got it since I don't want some squat blocky looking shit.
>>11803348 my baseline for Mattel's new DC stuff is "Do any of their figs mog the Mafex versions" Some legends can mog Mafex, like the MvC Wolverine NO McFarlanes ever mogged Mafex Some of the very old Multiverse figs come close, I had to really think about getting rid of my BAF Bane in favor of Mafex's Show me a Mattel Batman that makes me think about dumping my Mafex Bat, or at least show me a Jon Stewart that'll make me get rid of the old Multiverse one. Then I'll be interested.
So much discussion around the kids line just proves people here are addicted to plastic, no matter how deficient it is. We're talking about figures without even ANKLE ARTICULATION. These are basically figures from the mid-90s
>>11803036 >Have they shown what the collector line will look like? They have not, but SDCC is also around the corner, so I'm hoping they do it there. They can't technically start selling them until next year, though.
>>11803501 technically about 7, but Fox Sony Electro is going to be made into a custom to sell, an older John Stewart was an auction Lanterns lot win and will eventually be listed to sell (once I get off my lazy ass), one of the John Stewart's is the 5POA and they (including the aliens, girls, white guys) have never been displayed (but never say never!), and I might have a Joe or something else on top of these that is either fodder or a lot win, maybe even a wrestler who was fodder/auction, etc.
>>11803533 Bought to harvest the sunglasses, rest still in the box and will sell once it's not as available on line
>>11803467 She looks great, even with the default head instead of the DLC from the basketball 2 pack, but the fact that she has such trouble standing despite having thicker legs than most other female Legends annoys me a lot. Even Emma stays upright better with her heels and heavy cape, though I ended up giving her a stand, too.
>>11803501 For Marvel, Storm, Bishop, Falcon, Captain Falcon, Black Panther, and War Machine. Beyond that, John Stewart, Cyborg, Arkham Azrael, and Cole from Gears. I'd count Casca, but I've got the Latina-looking Figma.
>>11803839 They look like the DC Mattel product that was available that no one bought back in 2019 and before. Yet somehow now everyone is salivating over them.
>>11803875 They do look a bit better than the 2019 stuff. To be fair, those last few waves weren't terrible, they were finally adapting modern articulation and getting rid of their shitty hips and what not. Still, not great, but a step in the right direction, that Red Hood isn't terrible by any means imo. These new figs look like a step up and the collectors line should be even better.
>>11803904 Did you read the post I am replying to? No one should say these are "more in line with DCC's Icons line just with less articulation." They are kids toys and that is obvious. People need to stop glazing the kids line just because McFarlane took a dump on the license. Wait for the collector line to see if it's any good.
>>11803905 It's $13. I'm gonna grab a figure to try out the line just to see how Mattel is doing after so many years of not buying their products. I think the last thing from them I got was the Amber Collection Ray Arnold. It's cheap and I could fsft away $13 and not notice it so it's not like it's a big deal just to snag a figure to try out the line and see where the collectors line could go. Stop being so ass mad about people thinking a $13 kids toy looks good for what it is. Jesus.
>>11803903 >overexposed In package photo that looks worse than in hand vs promo image that looks better than the in hand figure DCD/DCC was fucking notorious for deceptive prototypes around that time.
>>11803915 That's Mattel's own overexposed promo image, anon. Don't blame me for using it. But keep defending it and comparing it to collector product, I know you guys need to get that money to buy these toys somewhere.
>>11803501 Storm, Bishop, Falcon, War Machine, Blade, and an MCU Nick Fury I just got to steal the coat and give to Blade. Also Sunspot at least used to be black-skinned enough that he got beaten up over it as a child so he probably counts.
>>11803916 What the fuck are you on about? The whole reason people are excited is because if this is what they can do for $13, it's promising for the more expensive collector line. It's not 'shilling' or whatever delusion you've cooked up to acknowledge something looks good for the price.
>>11803929 >It's not 'shilling' or whatever delusion >the whole reason people are excited is because if this is what they can do for $13 >it's not delusional to get excited for new product because these baby toys look so good for so cheap
>>11803938 >You should only collect the toys I approve of You guys are so immature that I have to assume you're underage or developmentally challenged in some way. Get a grip.
>>11803949 His ass. He also claimed that the Bullseye figure itself was a mishmash of looks and never wore that mask in the comics when the figure itself is based off of his look in the Zdarsky run. See >>11802452
>>11803960 and it wouldn't even matter if they couldn't get his facial likeness, they simply wouldn't include an unmasked head it's obviously other shit taking priority, and now that the rebooted show gets shit ratings they're probably only putting 1/3 of the the stuff they planned on the market
>>11803963 I initially was in agreement with you about how dumb it is we haven't got a Dex yet but then I saw his costume for S3 and would much rather have that. Not sure if you've seen the set pics of it yet but it's peak.
>>11803967 Sure, but if Born Again was hitting like the Netflix early-to-middle Netflix run, we would've already gotten one of him by now, plus an updated version that would be mostly reuse next year, though that could still happen at least 10 years ago they did two Daredevils, two Jessica Joneses, Elektra, two Lukes, 1 Danny, 1 Colleen Wing, 1 Frank, and even Rosario Dawson Plus all the comic versions of figures that were released suspiciously close to the live action appearances like Purple Man and Typhoid Mary
>>11803467 She's really great and even better with the two pack head.
>>11803800 Though they both have that issue, I feel like my Emma tends to flop over way more. Hell, the Magneto in these pics loses his balance more than either.
>>11803424 >>11803426 >I will defend a brotha I actually really like the Jakks Pacific. At one point, I owned three of them because I was going to kitbash the other two into a Kyle and maybe someone else, but I couldn't get any of my over 100 fucking Hasbro Joe (or other head sculpts like ML) that I have that could kinda-sorta pass for a Kyle to fit on the figure, so I bullied the clerks at Target into taking the two extra 2pks back for store credit.
got the new daredevil today the build is better than the RYV spidey buck, but the neck has less motion overall and no toe joint I don't consider it a flat upgrade the best thing about the figure is they now have a middle connector piece for the batons so they don't have to be limited between having one with a peg to connect to the other OR having both with no pegs to put one of the crappy cords between them
>>11804431 2/2 This might not matter to everyone, though. For me it's just the specific pose I want to have my main display DD in Also they really are cheaping out with the alt hands now, only one fist and one open hand on the new one, I can't imagine making mirrored parts is THAT expensive
>>11804161 I ended up putting them both on bases a few days after opening, but Emma at least I got to stand up for a day or two on a riser in a detolf before falling(ironically, into Rogue). My Rogue kept falling down like an old lady every few hours, even on my desk. Maybe the balance is even worse on mine than average. Can't speak to Magneto since I'm using the Select as a placeholder while waiting for a 97 release or that rumored deluxe.
>>11802452 I just got done reading this run and really liked it, but man, that costume was ass. I get that every artist wants to try their own things with these characters, but Bullseye has one of those perfect, classic costumes that you just shouldn't fuck with.
>>11805068 Oh I believe it'll happen at some point in the next six months to a year. No doubt. Everything is getting more expensive still, why would toys be the exception? I just don't automatically believe whatever this literal who is claiming, because why would that chubby fuck know?
has anyone here actually bought bootleg marvel legends for the fuck of it? i came across some online and thought the very idea of a bootleg marvel legends is...pointless
>>11805089 Some of the BAFs have gotten ridiculously expensive so people buy bootlegs of them as it’s far more sane. Otherwise I’d agree, especially given how shitty the average ML already feels, knowing bootlegs are always worse.
>>11800599 He has a box full of shit and hood articulation. How the fuck is he barebones? Especially when Hasbro releases figures with just a pair of hands? What the fuck else do you need him to come with?
Aren't there other Spider-Man figures sold on the RYV buck and are those are worthwhile to settle for if I can't find the Maximum buck for under $55 + shipping/tax and don't want to spend that much on a Hasbro product?
If I want a superposable figure and I don't want to waste money on an import, what do y'all recommend?
>>11805236 He costs way more since you can really only get him scalper priced. Even used/loose is hard to find. It's fucking easier to get that crap Magic The Gathering 'special' battle-damaged one.
>>11805267 >He costs way more since you can really only get him scalper priced. Even used/loose is hard to find. It's fucking easier to get that crap Magic The Gathering 'special' battle-damaged one.
Max looks nice, but this is why I've given up on ever picking him up. He was already kind of overpriced and even more so with the late tax on top. I generally feel pretty comfortable passing on Spidey stuff though, since I feel like the most popular superhero to ever exist will continue to get toys.
>>11805285 I thought it was just Nightwatch (pic related i'm just putting Spawn in there, it's obvious they'll never ever do any sort of merch for him because McFarlane will immediately sue) but yeah you're right Carrion too. Whatever.
>>11805284 I'd be interested to know how much it actually costs to produce a toy without all the useless eater overhead. I imagine it's probably like around $7 now for a typical Marvel Legend and they're just jacking up the prices insanely to make ridiculous profits because people will pay.
>>11805402 >everything in the world gets more expensive >including Marvel Legends >comes to the conclusion Hasbro is artificially inflating the price Did none of you go to school? It's actually mind blowing how ignorant you are of anything that isn't toys.
>>11805402 I know there's absolutely no budgetary reason they needed to stop including two sets of hands per type with figures, the cost of running a mirrored piece piece of plastic is negligible
>>11805423 Correct. The real reason they do it is that by slowly taking those extra hands away from regular figures, they can then include them with "deluxe" or "maximum" figures and act like they're justifying the overly high price when the cost to add them is almost nothing.
>>11805423 >>11805439 They do that because they know they'll get people to buy the next figure with the extra hands. Look at retro Spider-Man and then RYV Spidey having all the necessary hands, but being in a two pack.
>>11805440 We know paint apps used to be 1 cent per app on a figure, so one can see how low the costs are. The fact that bootlegs of even, for example, Mafex figures can be far more cheap is another way to identify the true costs of making a figure without the extra overhead.
>>11805282 I'm not sure that if BBTS had it for Hasbro Pulse $49.99 MSRP, I'd be any more enticed. I just spent $55 on two figures, boxed, new, including postage and taxes. One comes boxed with a vehicle (a vespa but still a vehicle) and other accessories and the second one has a fuck-ton of weapons and two extra heads (Joe).
>>11805457 yeah that happened almost immediately after I got him and just kinda worked around it cuz no replacement pegs could be found at the time. It came in brittle or something, it kinda just crumbled into a few pieces as I was adjusted his ankle. That was before 3D printers though, so if anyone knows of a solution available today pls inform. >>11805323 real
>>11805576 >I kind of regret paying full price for it. It'll probably hit outlet on Pulse at some point. Ditto. I planned on cancelling it but forgot. At least the Rogue head is top tier and the Rogue body isn't terrible. It can be used for something. Gambit is unforgivable though.
>>11805439 >>11805444 sure it "makes sense" with like the secret wars daredevil because that's 100% the body they'll use for the maximum release, but they're also doing it with second stringers that probably won't ever get any kind of rerelease
>>11805610 She goes nicely with the new Colossus. I have the older, modern costume Magik from the Book of Vishanti set, but I've never taken those figures out of their package because they look so nice in it. I should take Dormammu out at least, it's the best version of that particular figure.
>>11805610 and the next one they do will be phoenix force or or like when she's in demon-mode and it'll take 8 years before they do an updated version of her in her black tube top outfit I love hasbro
>>11801764 Yeah, I'm in the EU and just recently got Blade and final battle Wolvie. Blade is great, but the weird decision to use the old ab crunch with Logan instead of the ball joint torso used for the rest of the wave AND no boot swivel is nuts.
>>11805943 there's been like fucking 8 "main" DC action figure lines in the past 25 years and they have never, ever made a kara that wasn't ugly and mafex just doesn't want to make her at all, apparently
>>11805502 That looks mildly upsetting, and not in the way a Venom should look mildly upsetting.
>>11805610 >>11805612 I was really glad for a classic Illyana release, but it did mean I kind of wasted the effort modding the previous 00's Illyana into her New Mutants self. I meant to make the armored arm too, but was having trouble finding the right plating.
>>11805613 I looked at the Phoenix Force design and you just unsold me on >>11805610 design. I will wait for Phoenix Force. Already have the normal black design
>>11806525 Phoenix Force Cyclops is one of the handful of cancelled figures from ML handover that hasn't been redone yet, and since they love doing specific team-based 2 packs, I think Phoenix Force is definitely a contender
>>11806570 That's one of the cooler Cyclops looks, despite it not being the Jim Lee look of course which they have done enough of, so I wouldn't be against picking something like that up.
>>11806570 This is a very cool design and always has been, but I don't know if I could ever bring myself to spend money on it. Same with the Rightclops suit. They both just represent everything that went wrong with Scott Summers as a character to me (and the X-Men in general for that matter).
>>11806640 Well, F4 sold out everywhere in store. If they end up at Ollies or ROSS, I would definitely grab them. Hasbro and retailer my have under supplied though.
>>11806640 people will definitely buy the new MCU wolverine unless he's a total trainwreck and sadie sink jean grey is an easy sell but I didn't even mean MCU figures, they'll just do more x-men stuff in general like the Fantastic Four movie did okay, or whatever happened there, and that led to the MCU figures but also future foundation 2-packs and whatever the light blue suits with spider-man and wolverine is called
>>11806640 >>11806648 Not everything ends up at Ollies or Ross. I have yet to see a mainline Spider-Man at a Ross. You find shit like the Peter B in his stupid sweatpants. Or PICREL I've never seen an ML Deadpool, Daredevil although you can find various and variant Iron Manlets and and things like lady Thor and Fat Thors.
>>11806663 How many times are you going to post this pic? And of course a mainline red and blue Spidey isn't going to end up at Ross. Only shit no one really wants ends up there.
>>11806809 Mafex does not understand why people buy their figures. The paint detailing is the #2 reason people buy them over MLs after articulation. And now they make a figure that basically has little if any
>>11806831 Mafexes are worth about $60 bucks I'd say but this one has very little paint so I'd say maybe $45 for this one. Too bad that isn't what they are charging.
>>11806882 The letter doesn't say "btw the prices are also increasing in the US." Apparently those lucky fuck Canadians have only had 1 price increase since 2021 so they sure as hell were due for one.
>>11806797 They always get a big toy shipment close to Easter and close to Christmas but their selection the rest of the year can be spotty. But I've found some great things there in the past.
>>11807068 I just don't know which one I like more t b h (desu) >>11807048 >>11807063 >>11807225 yeah i was worried about this, I'll figure something else out kek
>>11807246 I can't believe this is the first time I've noticed a female figure with butterfly joints. Ironic that'd be on a Psylocke.
>>11807061 >>11807119 I'm actually liking that Doom a lot. Meanwhile I think I'm only happy with that Magneto because he's not as aggressive of a departure as Rivals Magneto.
>>11807320 Right, everyone is broken up into teams or whatever. The next one is Ghost Rider's team. It'll probably have Blade, because Marvel kept funding these games and mandating that Blade be in them because they for sure thought they'd have that MCU Blade movie out by now.
>>11807324 The feminazis at Disney making the Marvel movies explicitly wanted to replace Blade with a female character (his daughter) combined with them low balling Wesley Snipes to such a degree that he told Marvel to fuck off, resulting in Ryan Reynolds having to personally and privately negotiate a deal for Snipes appearing in DP/W.
>>11807403 Yeah, I just think it's funny. They did the Midnight Sons game back when there was still a possibility of the blade movie and a midnight sons movie piggybacking off of it They also announced an actual Blade game made by the dishonored people, though that hasn't been seen in years despite supposedly still being in development They put blade in Rivals He'll probably be in Tokon Plus they would've only approved of having Snipes in Deadpool 3 as a send-off to make way for the new version, but that never happened and the MCU was in disarray so they just let Ryan Reynolds do whatever
>>11807504 The gameplay's not even that great, I remember trying the first Spider-man game and just finding the combat tedious. The Wolverine game seems to be just nothing but that so I don't think I'm going to bother with it.
>>11807473 imagine being excited for this imagine this being something you've looked forward to for years imagine going to a walmart to buy a Sony card to pay for the digital download with an EBT card imagine installing it and eating kool-aid brand pineapple slices while you wait imagine enjoying it afterwards
>>11807966 even if it wasn't a pozzed modern POS where all the female characters are designed to look 40 or older, gameplay-wise it looks like the brainless new god of wars, particularly when they showed gameplay for the new girl one of those like 15 minutes after
>>11807966 It's actually a blessing that Sony won't port their first party slop to PC anymore. I don't own any current gen consoles and don't feel the need to. If I owned a PS5, I'd sell it after that State of Play yesterday lmao, only titles that actually looked good are not first party exclusive bullshit. Who wants Goddess of War: Laundry anyway?
Guys, what do you think? Yes or no to Mezco Hulk? I am a Hulk Collector. I have Mezco Green Goblin and he's great but I'm not as certain about Hulk. I've heard he's supposedly too short for the scale he is supposed to be
