The 'authentic sounds' are nonsense, Lego has lied. It's not Pokemon sounds, they even claim to have been unable to replicate the original sounds despite those being 8-bit sounds on less complex devices than the slop brick.
They need to be sued for false advertising. This is illegal.

Rumoured Smart Play sets such as Eevee Evolution pack, Scorbunny Evolution pack, Riolu Dojo and Croagunk Bus Station are coming in 2027.
We are yet to get pics for 4 final 18+ sets for this year (Munchlax, Arcanine and two minifigure centric sets such as Rayquaza and Pokeball). There are atleast 2 or 3 Brickheadz packs also coming this fall. And possibly more 2027 minifigure centric sets since leaker Aclaybricks said minifigs were originally intended to start coming in 2027 but are coming earlier now.

Bought the Notre Dame pre-owned and got it on thursday and thought "well, can't take that long" and then sat for three days straight building it. Literally
>wake up
>build lego
>eat
>sleep
repeat
probably was because the previous guy simply threw it all in one big pile in the box so i had to sort it out to make any progress, but i did it and i love it. I'ts actually growing more and more on me by the day.
Thought about getting the neuschwanstein too. Got the notre-dame for ~144usd+shipping, saw there's a guy selling his neuschwanstein for ~162usd, sendt him a message a couple days ago, but was left on delivered. Thinking of sending a new one now, but i'm unsure. Any thoughts on the prices?

Yup, it's actually fucking kino.
The building is so beautiful and uses some crazy building techniques i never thought of before.
Minifigs are beautiful and there are so many nice accessories i also never had before like dumplings and tea leaves. The best part is that this particular shelf of mine gets hit by moonlight shining through my window so somewhere around midnight it will be an actual moon gazing inn. If i wasn't shit at photography with my phone i would take that pic as well.

What about soul?
What about playsets?
What about all the things
That Lego said we were to gain?
What about prints?
Is there a quality control?
What about all the things
That Lego said was yours and mine?
Did you ever stop to notice
All the slop they've shelved before?
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying AFOL, these weeping stores?
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
What has LEGO done to the brand?
Look what they've done
What about all the soulful themes
That LEGO ditched to be a con?
What about Paradisa fields?
Is there a Time Cruiser?
What about all the Dreamzzz
That LEGO said was yours and mine?
Did you ever stop to notice
All the scalpers hoarding with their carts?
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying AFOL, these weeping stores?

>"Every time we speak with children and fans, what they want to be are Pokémon trainers," the LEGO Group’s Design Director Siddharth Muthyala told Polygon. "And then when you dive a little deeper into that, what does it mean to be a trainer? It's finding Pokémon, catching them, nurturing them, training them, and of course, you go into a battle with them.
>"The intentionality goes so deep that we don't have any minifigures in the assortment because children are the trainers. So it's a Pokémon world you're entering and all the children out there in the world, they are the humans, they are the trainers who are catching these Pokémon, bonding with them and battling and training with them. So that was also a choice."
>"There’s also the small matter of scale: pop a minifigure next to any of these brick-built Pokémon and you’re looking at a sort of inverse scenario where the animals send the humans into battle. Minifigure-first playsets would have been a completely different proposition, like an arena filled with minifigures and tiny moulded Pokémon, which might have looked neat on display but probably wouldn’t have been as much fun to play with."

>How the fuck has Lego completely missed what made Lego Mario popular?
What worked in the past won't work in the future, the company needs to change
that's why we get endless dust collectors for adults and kid-focused sets focus on customization through rearranging pre-built modules rather than completely pulling apart and rebuilding all the increasingly smaller parts

It's based on the NES sprite. I hate how modern games call it a "Retro" sprite or "Retro" console because they to write NES/Nintendo. I doubt that has anything to do with licensing. Part of my Pick a Brick order arrived. Pretty neat. If Lego is too woke for Western sets they should just put that stuff up on Pick a Brick. Also I'm guessing it's much cheaper to just Bricklink pieces right? I checked one store but their prices in huge bulk were mostly for used pieces. For PaB it's nice getting brand new pieces (even tho some pieces are chipped, wtf where is the quality control?)

70% of this thread is your meltdown and other people trying, in futility, to calm you down.
you're trying to be "le hero" by crafting the discussions the way you think it should be, free of Lego-company-manipulated dialogue (if that's the case or not, it's impossible to argue a conspiracy theory, as... that's what they want you to think)
WE are all trying to be YOUR good friends in counceling you that there's no way to yell at a wall and make it move. the images WILL be posted. you are indeed powerless to stop it, and the more you struggle, the worse your downward spiral into madness (if you're not there already)
let go. or move on. the sooner you realize that, the better off you will be. you think you are trying to save us, but it's not your place to do so. if we are being manipulated by propaganda, that's our own fault. you fail to realize that WE are capable of "knowing it's a [fake] leeeeaaak!" and judging our reactions accordingly. you clearly know what's going on, don't assume we don't.

for the record, I'm not "defending the spam"
I'm aware of it, and dealing with it by leaving it alone.
which is what everyone should be doing
that's different than defending or promoting it.
I do slightly agree that it's easier to discuss things with visual references, so in a way it is helpful, but that's all.
and if it IS a --Lego Employee-- doing it, it gives us an opportunity to counter-manipulate the company itself by making comments on the pics. I will gladly make that trade. (if that is indeed what is going on)
for example, can the Lego Employee lurking here please sneak some Light Nougat legs into a freaking new set already? we need fleshie bare-leg options and these Harry Potter sets are from sooo long ago!

I was practically looking at my classic black dragon when I posed that question, so I guess I don’t know what I was thinking.
But apart from specific wing elements, has Lego designed any decent brick-built wings?

probably when this wave of 'afols welcome!' nerds get purged in a couple of years for costing the company millions in wasted money and damaging brand accessibility/ longevity
whether they like it or not kids are the lifeblood of the brand and if they lose them, the money will dry up sooner than they expect due to no new customers

I think they're adjusting the strategy with the larger sets to maximize purchases from each customer, they're not as large as before so you can spend even more filling the same amount of space with more bricks (because they're 20-30% 1x1 pieces). The Spanish church doesn't even have the same width footprint as 2 base plates despite being 12000 pieces, and it isn't very tall either.

They're all right. Picked up some P90-ish guns and vests for my SG-1 figs a while back at a Brickmania. Haven't gone back to that store recently though, they started stocking some cringe hohol propaganda conversion kits for their overpriced military bootlego sets and I just won't be party to that.

Kids by nature prefer physical toys. My son fucking loves trucks and building blocks. Our house is filled with die cast cars and legos for this reason. Sure he finds lights and sounds cool but at the end of the day if the batteries are dead he'll still play with the damn trucks and legos because it's not the lights he loves, its the lights on the toy he loves. I'm just lucky my mom saved my legos so I could give them to my son, buying the new shit is a pain even if he prefers the city stuff which is generally cheaper than the IP slop.

>Why is this literally who getting a minifig instead of, you know, the actual franchise main characters?
this could be solid concrete evidence that some of Lego's decisions are based purely on DESIGNER-FAVORITES. it's simply someone's favorite character, that's it and that's all
you kinda think they do that (like say, with their choice of Animal Crossing characters? or Soccer Team stadiums?) I mean, the Ideas Review process for the sets that make 10,000 votes seems only based on opinions of a few instead of surveys of many (otherwise they'd ALL be made into sets, as they DID get the 10,000 votes!)

I liked the og ninjago dragons, same system as they used for the current 3-in-1 creator dragon. "Technic scaffolding with cloth" is also good when it's actual cloth that can fold in and not this bullshit on charizard.

I just realized there is little reason to buy new legosets to open and build them. You'd mostly be better off buying bootlego unless you want to flip them later, in which case it would be better to leave them unopened.

this is the one character that simply MUST BE "somebody's (designer at Lego) favorite"
it's the ONLY horse-with-horn in the entire game. if they made a regular horse head mold, it could have been re-colored into dozens of other horse characters. there's logically no reason to have done the only one with a horn
they even used it twice! in a polybag! that could have easily been a new character, instead we got somebody's favorite twice.
and if Julian was somebody's favorite, that means it's likely that ALL the Animal Crossing characters were based on [designer favorites]
>>
>>11810814
I can understand Julian, he’s by far the most popular horse villager (actually he’s the only horse villager I see, I don’t think people like the horses).
The lack of cat villagers is crazy to me, though. Ankha, Raymond, Bob, they’re some of the most popular villagers full stop.

who else is shocked that Lego has not yet done a Festival set featuring Pave? he seems like the perfect character for them.
I'm not even teasing, Pave would be fun to get. his dialogue is funny and he gives out all kinds of neat prizes for the event. maybe they can have the [Smart Brick] play his little tune and light up like crazy. it could be the first instance of the [Smart Brick] being exactly what you'd want it to be.
and Tiffany they already have the rabbit head mold

Coco using an existing mold and Roswell for a new mold. Coco is pretty populat, I'm surprised we haven't seen her yet. I hope the Animal Crossing theme isn't dead. As many others have said a CMF line would be perfect for them. Maybe I'll come up with my dream Animal Crossing CMF wave next, just for fun.
>>
File: animal crossing cmf.png (2.2 MB)
my idea for an Animal Crossing CMF wave. Probably not the most realistic to get both Roswell and Drago as they would require similar but different head molds. Cephlobot would probably have a specialised leg piece, making other octopus villagers likely in future waves.Erik might be a stretch as well due to his head being too unique. Ankha's head piece could be an attachment on the small pin hole in the existing cat head piece mold.
I invite others to come up with an Animal Crossing CMF wave, this was enjoyable.

She's highly associated with Rayquaza. There also seems to be some sort of weird internal divide in Game Freak where they don't like acknowledging the anime. The last Pokemon game that significantly featured anime elements IIRC was Pokemon Puzzle League on the N64, which wasn't developed by Game Freak. Later games have had pseudo-cameos, like Ash Cap Pikachu or Ash-Greninja, but the former is iirc untradeable between gens and the latter has been outright retconned, which is wild. Lycanroc-Dusk is the only particularly Ash associated thing you can still use in modern Pokemon.
Anyway I'd love minifigs of S1 Ash Brock and Misty but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Brickarms was my introduction to 3rd party weapons and that rabbit hole just keeps spiralling deeper with every year. Sadly though Brickarms themselves hold little interest anymore, their new stuff is sporadic and mostly Mandalorian-based or overmolded and all overpriced. Brickforge also used to get regular interest but has also largely stagnated and is a poor value for international buyers like myself. Minifigcat (Sidan), Brick Tactical, various AliExpress sellers and (more rarely) BrickWarriors have been my small arms suppliers in recent times.
Hard to believe pic related is 14 years old and was the near-entirety of my arsenal at the time.

Mew is female.
Mewtwo is male.
Apparantley they made another movie where a second Mewtwo is female.
In a third movie Mewtwo is voiced by a male and a female at the same time.
So classic Mewtwo is male.

If you asked me to name ten or twenty trainers, I’m not sure I’d come up with her. It'll be astounding if we get Zinnia before Red or Misty or any of the actually known game (or show) characters.

yeah i'm buying every big set + additions but i didn't build it yet.
Will have to buy this year's edition.
I will build it after all parts will be released because i don't have space for a final Hogwarts. At first i will need to see how actually big it is.
Then i will put it somewhere it will be protected from dust.

Pokémon 2027 leaks:
>Pokémon CMF (separate from the CMF theme!) in the works for FALL 2027 release
>Most characters are opponents of Ash (like gym leaders, gary, team rocket, etc, but also Ash’s mom)
>each character comes with their own Pokémon
>Ash’s mom comes with Mr Mime
>instead of disposable boxes like other cmf they come in large multi part Poké Balls similar to how Vidiyo came in their own little carrying case
>there’s two additional series in the works
>it’s not cmf 1 or cmf 2 but the first one is Poké Ball cmf series and the second is Great Ball cmf series
>price is estimated $18 USD each
>10 characters in first wave with their own respective Pokémon in the first wave
>depending on demand this could be a lot more waves (though series 2 is guarenteed)
>more minifig scale sets are coming at different price points, including a Pokémon Center and dioramas in development (some are minifig scale some aren't)
>Smart Play sets will continue in 2027 and should have better distribution
>more 18+ brickbuilt Pokémon (such as Groudon and Psyduck), including a Pokédex set with an exclusive Pokémon and minifig
>this theme is positioned as a multi generational theme and Lego are handling it long term as an evergreen theme like star wars

Pathetic.
>>
Apparently, all three upcoming Pokemon 18+ sets for August will be revealed next week and made available for preorder. They did not want to reveal them at the same time as Smart Play because they did not want to take away from the hype.
The Poke Ball will be revealed separately at a later date, but it will probably be teased before the official reveal. LEGO expects it to be a huge seller, which is likely why it has been delayed. They are producing more copies ahead of launch because they know it will be on backorder within 30 minutes.

You're outing yourself as a terminal gooner. That meme was from years ago now. Most people see Ankha as a cute Egyptian cat and most people don't sexualise animals, you freak.
>>11811370
I figured realistically they might want to save costs by reusing some molds and I figured cats and dogs would be among the more popular choices. Realistically though I just chose some of my favourite villagers who I'd like to eventually see as minifigures. In hindsight a real CMF wave would likely have a 50/50 gender split, and not have so many creepy looking villagers. It is made with AI, I don't have the 3D modelling skills required to make an authentic mock up like this. I think using AI to visualise quick rough concepts like this is what the technology is best used for.
>>11811132
I always hated this bitch. Tried bullying her out of my town in City Folk.
>>11811220
Just chatgpt. I was quite descriptive about making sure it stuck to the established lego animal crossing style, and didn't change the designs of the villages ect. I also fed it an image of all 12 villagers I wanted so I think that helped. At first it gave me this image, some of the names are funny (dribble lol), and the heads look a bit like they're made of clay so I got it to redo it and cleaned the image up a bit on photoshop. I think it turned out decent for AIslop.

I think the shart brick lego pokemon sets will actually sell pretty well. They're not as overpriced as the Star Wars ones and a kid could convince their parent to get it because they won't already have lego Pokemon stuff at home. As far as I'm aware the Mario sets did well enough with kids.
