Gonna repost this from the last thread since it's dead:
Guys, what do you think? Yes or no to Mezco Hulk? I am a Hulk Collector. I have Mezco Green Goblin and he's great but I'm not as certain about Hulk. I've heard he's supposedly too short for the scale he is supposed to be

Mystique looks lame as fuck too, and they're definitely going to make figures of all these
>>
>>
>>

They haven't even made any villains other than Venom from any of the three Spider Man games. They'll make Wolverine, maybe a Sabertooth, but even then I doubt it, and then a couple of costume variants maybe. This won't be a full wave unless it's 90% alt costumes.
>>
>>11808537
I'll remember this when they announce a figure of ugly Mystique wearing generic padded body armor, and you'll see my posts reminding you that you were wrong, and of course you won't respond, but nonetheless I'll know that you saw them and felt shame
>>
>>11808248
I appreciate having a silver age head and a bronze age head that also encompass the moods from those eras.
>>11808459
At least they passed the bar of not just trying to recapture the lightning in a bottle that was X-men Movie Mystique, but putting her in the most nothingburger 00's tacticool outfit is definitely a waste. Maybe it's not the outfit she'll have for the entire game, but it's hard not to be pessimistic.
>>
>>
>>11808537
>They haven't even made any villains other than Venom from any of the three Spider Man games.
That's great, because Sabretooth is a companion in the game like Jean Grey who will be around during gameplay segments fighting alongside you and you do back and forth combos with them
Mystique and old ass MadTV black woman Calypso probably will be too
The only villains in that gameplay demo were generic tech-vomit cyborg mercenaries and one was Skullbuster, though he looked almost indistinguishable from the others, so Ravagers, then there Omega Red, and a ninja, and then a Sentinel that was the same size as the tech-vomit cyborg mercenary Ravagers
Also you're forgetting they did figures of Mister Negative and his demon mask goon
>>
>>11808553
and they did Gamerverse Kingpin
and also Black Cat, but I never played spider-slop 1 or 2 or Miles Morales: fuck a deaf girl so I don't if she started as a villain or whatever and then becomes your friend by the end

>Also you're forgetting they did figures of Mister Negative and his demon mask goon
Only because they were easy repaints of an existing suited body. Anything with an even remotely complex armored look was skipped. It didn't really help that none of the designs in these games are any good, but still.

It's kind of wild that in making a video game, the designs and art style you can do are limited only by the imagination, but all these turds could imagine was "What if we just shackled them to the sauceless movie realism universe from the 00's/10's?"
It's especially amazing that they didn't learn the lesson from MvCI getting fucking lambasted for doing the most boring movie likeness artstyle possible for a comic hyperfighting game.

>"What if we just shackled them to the sauceless movie realism universe from the 00's/10's?"
Don't put that evil on anyone but Disney-Marvel
The Wolverine Origins tie-in game had way more style than this, and that'll probably remain the best Wolverine game even after this new one comes out
And based on the trailers and story description for the PS5 game, it'll be pretty similar

So I just won an auction for this - $4 plus excessive postage; I bought the 60th anniversary figure at the recommendation of some of you a while back (also a fair price).
No, I don't want to buy a Mafex or a SHF. I don't even want to buy a CT or other import KO.
I realize many of you consider Spider-Man to be a Basic Bitch action figure from Hasbro and you already told me the last thread to spend the money on Maximum. That all said ....
I just want to confirm that y'all think getting the Renew Your Vows SM instead, even just the buck on a different SM, would still be a waste of money even if I found it for a bargain price like this Battle Damage?
>>
>>
File: Amazing Fantasy Pete.png (2.0 MB)
>>11808720
I won that Battle Damaged, $4 plus an absurd amount for "first class postage" - like another $20. So still cheaper than most NEW Marvel Legends at Walmart or Target or from Hasbro Pulse.
I have the Friendly and TASM movie figures but wanted a comic accurate SM, so that's why I bought the 60th Amazing Fantasy. Paid the most, in a damaged box, but new, but still a fair price compared to regular retail.
But he actually seems to move worse than the Bombastic Bagman figure or the Retro carded Pizza Spidey (which, with the regular non-eating head, is the 'comic accurate SM' I have been using the most). So I actually put the 60th back in the box and put it away.
I mean, if I have pizza spidey should I just give up chasing down RYV or Maximum? Some of y'all here and elsewhere make it sounds like posing either or both is orgasmic.

Playstation/modern gaming's goal is just to show off how extremely, innovatively, system-breaking their games are that we live an age where video games can be movies now. Then I realize that Insomniac also have Ratchet, one of their "pixar movie" products, so they are capable of making something cartoony or something less steeped in realism. But we just have to have games loosely-based on MCU, even though Squenix Avengers flopped
>>
>>11808749
>Playstation/modern gaming's goal is just to show off how extremely, innovatively, system-breaking their games are that we live an age where video games can be movies now.
they do that by making every game into last of us or last of us but with baby's first character action combat (god of war)
the gameplay in wolverine and god of war: woman look near identical, they even both featured a heavy focus on a companion running around in the background helping you with combos

It's just boring when every game sony makes is THE game. Something as rife with potential as a comic book game should not just be Last of Us Snikt Bub edition.
>>
>>
>>11808743
I know your pain all too well anon. I hate how MCU lines became standard for every modern costume design and basically switch to a classic looks for every character whenever a game allows to me to. I hate the ugly ass white spider suit in the sony games, but that pill is easier to swallow when you can use any costume you want from the beginning and have it actually show up in the cutscenes too.
>>
>>
>>11808852
just compare that to the all the costumes in the PS1 spider-man games and how a lot of them had actual gameplay bonuses
or the Raimi Spider-Man 1 game where they let you play as Green Goblin after you beat it and he had a completely different combat system and full use of the glider
That open-world Hulk game also had a ton of different skins for Hulk, some of which were full model swaps that broke the animations, like savage banner being the size of a regular human or abomination being 1.5 times bigger than the standard hulk
but games just don't do fun shit anymore
>>
>>11808605
Why are you shocked? Insomniac's entire gimmick is just offering third rate movie ripoffs down to outright stealing plot beats from secondary media since Spider-Man, which you clowns never admitted was bad.

Ultimate Alliance as a series is a great example. Go play part 1 and every character will have like four alts based on a different comic all of which have a different set of stats. Some costumes were actually entirely separate characters like Beta Ray Bill and Julia Carpenter. They even get different dialogue based on who you're fighting. MUA3, is an okay game really, but you get shit for costumes. Just recolors and 1 alt. Which you have to get through a shit grinding system that feels like a gacha game. There's no hub base, no dialogue differences and it just feels hollow.

did you even see wolverine? his "skeleton" is flush to his skin. he doesn't even have a proper adamantium skeleton which is his whole appeal as a character. this game isnt even Sony's best attempt at realism games. That would Death Stranding. wolverine is very lazy B team game and I highly doubt this game is even over 15 hours longs

Like the alternate Spidey costume you could unlock, the alt Goblin was based on the unused Alex Ross concept art for the first Raimi movie. Which I would really like a toy of, because it's cool as fuck.
>>11808855
I remember playing MUA1 in early high school when I was really getting into comics and thought stuff like the Beta Ray Bill skin was cool as hell. And I also liked MUA3 well enough, but each character only having one true alternate costume and a palette swap was lame as hell to me too.

Sony used to own death stranding. kojima only owns it recently. yes its kojima's idea from the start but it was 100% a sony first party games. you could equate it to gamefreak creating pokemon and nintendo owning 33% of it but in this case, Sony owned 100% of death stranding only until recently. Insomniac's whole marvelverse is kind of like the opposite of this since Insomniac used to be independent and Sony bought them after the success of Spiderman

It doesn't because the only two games I'm interested in are Ace Combat 8 and Tomb Raider. I couldn't give less of a shit about CoD and multiplayer games in general tbqh, and after the travesty that was Spider-Man 2, I'm confident Insomniac can't write a good story to save it's life anymore, so I really don't give a shit about Wolverine either.

And the idiot that consigned it with this auctioneer did an entire case, so this store had like 5 more that were starting at $1 but the auction was in the middle of the night in most of the states. Another one sold for $3.50 and there were three others starting at $1 but the auctioneer was also asking for $20 (plus sales tax) to ship them out.

That battle damaged Spidey is the least rare of the MtG sets. In fact, I ended up getting two when Target accidentally shipped me a second one after I bought mine for like $18 or something. I opened one of them, but I've been just hanging on to the second one until they eventually dry up in a few years and then when they're gone whatever remains will skyrocket in price. Pegwarmers tend to do that, they'll be plentiful and cheap for years until suddenly the stock disappears and drys up. Then on the aftermarket, they become overpriced because less people got them then normal, even if they were discounted. I've seen it happen so many times.

Every other release in the Retro Carded X-Men stuff from Target has shelfwarmed to the point of discount. Only one who didn't actually hit discount was maybe Mystique, but she was was still pretty plentiful and easy to find, at least in my stores. Savage Land Charles, Weapon X, Outback Storm all binned at one point or another. Quite frankly I'm shocked Emma hasn't hit discount yet considering all three of my local stores have had at least four or five of her on the peg for the better part of two fucking months. The X-Men carded stuff isn't like Gamerverse where a store only gets 3 units.
>>11810911
It's just a packaging gimmick. Most of the carded packaging are emulating older style cards. The Secret Wars wave, Spider-Man TAS cards, retro Carded X-Men and Avengers are all based on retro figure lines. Same with the recent batch of Hulk figures they've been doing like the one in the OP. That's based off the old 2000s Hulk line.

Dude, I have fucking multiples of ONE particular fucking TOY. The only differences in a few of these is a paint color. Otherwise, they are physically identical.
And I have fucking multiples of other Superman characters.
And will buy this DC Core because it's got a better head and you all have proven it's a head that will swap onto Legends (and probably Joe's) so if nothing else it will make a great Clark Kent head.
Mattel, in one easy, simple move, already beat the Toddfather's shitty side-eyes and other crappy face sculpts, especially all the female characters anons on this board called 'trannies' without a single /pol post to their credit, that Todd's face sculpts became a meme: https://www.reddit.com/r/ActionFigures/comments/12rzteg/i_feel_like_su permans_face_sculpt_is_now_just_a/
That all said, I do agree I would like an alternate head - but we don't ever get those with kids lines. Mattel doesn't do it for the MOTU kids line, Hasbro doesn't do it for their kids line, is there even a kids line for Joe's or Power Rangers?
So why Mattel be forced to do shit like a laser eye alternate head for a $12 toy?
I agree Diana needs to be attractive. Jazz Pacific managed it for their Sonic line-up.
>>
>>11811184
it being a kids line, and never to exceed the low expectations of such, means it can't and won't be the DC equivalent of Marvel Legends
And that low bar holds true, the next wave will be Lex Luthor, Two-Face, and then Guy Gardner and Arctic Assault Batman and Black Costume Superman, and it'll be over before this line could ever achieve anything interesting
I said it in the last thread, if they're the first DC toy line to ever make an above average Supergirl, I will buy that and then feel compelled to buy a few more and more down the line and then eventually I'll have 30 figures
But there's been an objectively hilarious amount of 6 inch (or roughly around that size) DC action figure lines that begun and fallen over the past 20 years and no one will be shocked if this line ends within the next 5 years

You just put the card in a plastic top loader. Throw that in an envelope and you're fine. I've gotten plenty of cards in the mail that way. Alternatively you can also tape the top loader in between two pieces of cardboard for extra protection.

>some collectors getting angry over that
Collectors get angry over bubble sleeves for plastic action figures so of course someone will get angry about how you ship them their trading cards. I've bought and sold comic books so I have dealt with these people and it's not rocket science:
Target sells these plastic sleeve protectors for cards - where the sports/poke and, probably MTG cards are stocked. Some are pretty flimsy and not much better than slipping a piece of cardboard into a sandwich baggie, but some are very thick and feel very firm.
I have a few of those and will also, like >>11811401 place the cellophane sealed spidey MTG card between two pieces of heavy card stocks, inside ONE of PICREL and charge MEDIA mail postage (like $5 cross-country).
Finally, will likely add if buyers want to receive it in a small box protected by bubble wrap, to simply advise and I will invoice them for the extra postage fee (probably another $3-5 depending on where they are). And probably send in a reused small BluRay box from Amazon with bubble wrap and packing peanuts.
USPS charges a "package" premium whether it's first class or ground postage, once anything shipped through them is more than a certain thickness - I think it's 1.5" or 1.75" before they consider it a "package" and it doesn't matter if you are using a plastic or tyvek envelope - those get charged as "packages" once they hit that thickness.
