Yeah, they definitely feel more like actual characters than other cartoons out there, especially the random porn OCs that we see in most other art. It certainly does remind me of a better time where the show helped me through a rough patch as well. Oddly enough, I had a thought that reminds me of why I got into MLP in the first place. I was watching Invincible, and I started getting a bit dissatisfied with the show, and thinking "Why does it have to be so grim all the time" which was exactly the problem that was solved by getting into MLP.

It'll probably just make me sad at this point because of how good the fandom used to be, and how hard it is to find the great old content I used to watch. I was a big enjoyer of reviewers, and their little shared cinematic universe of collabs.

Just recently, a mangaka got run off of Twitter by alleged "fans", and it helps remind me how welcoming and fun the MLP fandom still is. Sure, it's not comparable to what it was at the absolute peak, but it never sunk to the depths like other fandoms have after their shows ended.

I did a little soul searching after being confronted with the conflict. What I eventually settled on was that anthro ponies are for seggs and fetishes, and normal ponies are for cuddles and love. You can try to mix the two with unguligrade anthro, which is definitely more cute.

What I like to write is really simple harem stuff about a male protagonist who's pretty doomer and has no interest in relationships, but girls can't help but fall in love with him and desperately try to fuck him anyway. I like corruption aspects and tough/proud girls getting addicted to dick basically, which is a surprisingly good fit for MLP thanks to the strong personalities the girls have and how deeply feminine ponies are (which is what I think makes them so enduringly attractive to guys). I have a kind of outline in my head for a human in equestria thing where a guy is trying to get back to Earth while every pony in ponyville slowly falls for him and tries to "teach him about love" while he vehemently rejects the idea. My mental debate on anthro vs non-anthro is just that I think it would be novel to write literal ponies, but as you've observed this is limiting in terms of outfits and other things. Right now, I'm writing this non-pony thing.

I feel like people tend to have the perception of something being played out even when it actually hasn't been. Like perhaps someone is familiar with a few popular works and then they think "there must be a lot more like this; it's really played out," but then it turns out there isn't really. And I only am self-aware of this as someone who craves something that is ostensibly "played out," yet is rather rare in practice. It's kind of how like sometimes a movie will come out nowadays that plays a plot straight without any meta or social commentary or something and everyone will go "holy cow, finally, a movie just trying to be a good movie." When the so-called "played out tropes" are actually just executed normally, it ends up feeling a bit rare and special and good even if in a vacuum one may think they are not interested.

No. I was in school when Friendship is Magic first came out and I watched it alongside several other people in my class. I liked it but wasn't exactly in that kind of matured adult state to appreciate the quality of what I was watching. So I just forgot about it after.

I'm just cursed to have a fetish that is purely grounded in a progressing psychological state. Porn does nothing for me without like 100k words depicting psychological corruption. I've never had a "quick wank" in my life. That's why I have to think carefully about the setting for any MLP story I may consider. Since I would basically be committing to a 500k-1m word epic just to satisfy myself. (Although in practice I've found myself rushing the pacing when trying to do slow burn corruption.)
