>>2883940 I stayed at a decent ryokan in Tokyo during winter for 2 weeks costing 330 USD (like two years ago) it had a little tv, big tatami room, konbini right across the street, train station down the road etc
>>2883940 You could go bounce around Asia for a while. Get a visa for Thailand and spend 3 months there, then go to Taiwan for 3 months, then back to Thailand for 3 months, rinse, repeat.
Thailand keeps fucking around with its visa rules so I don't know if they've shortened it again.
Taiwan might only be 60 days, but I think they loosened it to 90 for visa-free. Better check on all of that before you make your plans.
>>2884025 Except do this instead: >>2884026 There's lots of cheap accomodation in Japan that won't be in a noisy, smoke-filled computer lab. Unless you stay in a hostel, no one will talk to you..
>>2883940 I'd like this too. How are you with noise? For ne it's hard because nowhere ever seems to be peaceful 24/7 which I require. Sometimes it's quiet but someone always disturbs that somehow even in a town, a village, a nature hut.
I'm currently in Bulgaria. It's pretty shit, as in people suck, buildings built so so so poorly, not easy to get around without a car or taxi, but it's relatively cheap and there is plenty of rooms for 1/4 the budget you have. You'll save money actually.
Also there's no migrants here, so it's very safe. But I'm still disappointed on the noise thing. If you like cold you could probably go northern Finland.
