we pay in forint. many places accept euro but it will be more expensive. also you can use google/apple pay everywhere. food prices can vary wildly depending on where you eat but i would say its on the cheaper side of europe prices. its a beautiful and safe city the only rule you have to follow is do not interact with gypsies and beggars. no, this is not racism btw its true.

there's no need to exchange money in Hungary, bank cards are widely accepted everywhere, even in shithole village pubs. restaurants will typically charge you anywhere between 4000 to 6000 HUFs (9 - 17 euros) for mains, while a local draught beer (Soproni, Borsodi, Dreher, Kőbányai and Pécsi are the biggest brands) at the pub/bar will set you back between 2.5 and 5 euros.

you can go to Aquincum in Óbuda for the Roman ruins, check out the Pinball Museum if you're into vintage pub arcade games, ride the chairlift in Zugliget and take a hike in the woods there, have a dip at one of the less touristy baths (I'd recommend Árpád Fürdő in Csillaghegy, Lukács Thermal Baths near Margaret Bridge or Palatinus on Margaret Island - just make sure you have a few beers in your backpack as drinks inside are rather pricey), visit a few museums, do a guided art nouveau architecture tour, watch the sun set from the rooftop garden of the Museum of Ethnography, go for a hot air balloon ride in City Park, see all the newly reconstructed historical buildings in the Castle District, rent a bike and go for a day trip to Szentendre, eat some lángos at Római Beach, go caving to Szemlőhegyi barlang, and catch some live music at Akvárium Klub or the A38 ship

idk what to tell you then anon - asking for non-touristy stuff to do on the internet is the most touristy thing I can think of.

it is. look up rosszlanyok.hu
>How much to buy an apartment there?
prices average around 50k USD per square meter in Budapest. a 60sqm two bedroom flat in a newly built apartment in the inner districts could easily cost 90+ million HUF (so around 290k USD)
