Europe leg detail view.
I believe I can do this entire trip for ~$10k USD total for two people. Flight back to Japan might push it a little over.

Georgia is decent if you like wine regions, consider that driving standards are not what you are used to
not sure what your kazhakhstan plans in 7 days are, if you travel by car youd have to push a lot of km per day, but desu ive never been there
bangkok seems quite long with 10 days if youre not into nightlife - or are you traveling there as well?
europe seems mostly fine, i found 1 day is completely enough for mostar, the interesting parts are tiny (but very nice), although very touristy
sarajevo depends on whether you like history, if not its entirely forgetable
i kinda doubt the trip will be below 10k for 2 persons to be honest

it's retarded to travel for 3 days per place. better off doing one place for 3 months if your time horizon is 3 months

I will probably visit more than just Bangkok, but I also have friends there and some affairs I need to take care of. I'm worried ten days might not be enough actually. BKK is charming and even without nightlife I find it an endlessly fascinating city.

Yeah reasonable, 10k is probably a bit overambitious. Pricing out the flights, I found good nonstop options on non-LCC airlines from BKK to Almaty to Tbilisi to Dubrovnik for ~$900pp. That leaves $8200 for a couple months of slow overland travel and less expensive balkans hotels. Everywhere but Italy and Croatia, looks like decent hotels can be had for ~$80 a night. Car rental+gas will probably be another $2k.

I completely agree with this, and if I find some charming area I'd like to spend a week+ in, I'm keeping plans flexible enough to account for that. That said, places like Venice and Florence seem like tourist hell and I don't think I'd enjoy more than a couple days in those places. Some places I like to linger in and explore, but I also enjoy journey traveling, where being on the move is the point.
