>Disney cancelled Be Fri because it had female protagonists and they wanted to make movies that appeal to boys instead
>...then they took a movie with a male protagonist and replaced him with a girl instead

>BeFri is a canceled American animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studios, which was set to be directed by Kristen Lester and set to be based on her adolescent experience with a platonic breakup.
How will we exist without yet another movie based on the writer's "traumatic" childhood?

They cancelled Be Fri because it was Steven Universe except with the female director's self-insert in the place of Steven and centered on her 'platonic' breakup with her best friend when she was a kid (i.e. the entire movie would have been unimaginably, unfathomably gay)
This looks like a premise that normal women and girls will eat up.

They're coming back to their senses.
>hot characters, thus a movie for everyone
>it's normal for something called "hexed" to feature witches
>art style makes me think of K-Pop Demon Hunters, makes sense that they would want to go after something so successful
vs
>another ugly bean mouths and tumblr designs Pixar movie, the same kind that bombs super hard
>"the story was based on Lester's childhood experience with a platonic breakup." Another literal who director self-insert project that appeals only to her
>only audience: retarded tumblrinas
>ugly

It would've had a hell of a lot more merit to its existence than A Minecraft Movie and all of the intelligence insulting second-screen dogshit (i.e. Irish Wish) that permeates Netflix every week thanks to clock app users not being able to stay off their damn phones for more than five minutes.
